Zoom Panel: Updated Online Survey Site Review
Survey Site Reviews August 31st, 2009My opinion of Zoom Panel hasn’t changed all that much since last year. From my perspective, it’s the best “points for merchandise” survey site available. That said, I personally don’t enjoy survey sites that don’t reward with cash. Therefore, I’ll have to try to put my bias aside and just talk the merits of zoom Panel, of which there are many. Would I rather get the cash and buy what I want? As Sarah Palin would say, “You betcha!”.
You’ll get plenty of surveys from Zoom Panel which is a definite plus. I find that they are generally short and straight forward. On the negative side, you don’t know how many points you’ll get until you take it. But the points range from 50 to 100 points. You’ll need to earn at least 1000 points to get a prize that’s worthwhile.
Even if you are like me, and don’t like doing surveys for available merchandise, it may be in your best interest to give it a try. Just when you least expect it, you may very well get an Invoke Interactive study, which pays very well or you’ll be given opportunities for product testing. That’s what keeps me motivated.
I’d love to hear your experiences. Please let us know what YOU think and what you have traded your points to receive.
I saw this today and thought it was pretty funny. I love the squeal!

My experience with zoom is that it takes a long time to get enough points to get a halfway decent gift. I just got enough points the first of this month for mixer. The one I had was ten year old and so this was good. They sent it very fast too. It took about a week. I guess I won’t be cashing out again though until 2011.

I am a zoompanel member and have been happy until a few months ago. I am able to take surveys but not able to log into my account. I have reported this several times. I turned all of the firewalls off and reset cookies etc. And even tried from my husbands computer. The error message states something is wrong with the address. Tech support still has not resolved this. Is anyone else having the same problem. Any sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I have been a member of Zoom Panel for some time now, and speak highly of it. Like you, I’d rather earn cash–usually, only way to go, and I’m always on the lookout. But I do have plenty of time to read, and usually trade my Zoom Panel points for books. Overall, I consider it better than even. Have a good one!

I cannot log on to the Zoom Panel website since April 2009, nor have I received a survey invitation from them. When I go to the website, I get a blank page. Therefore, I can’t contact them to tell them about the problem. It was my favorite website until now. Has anyone else had this problem?

I’ve got a question about the Invoke surveys. They always want you to download a active x or program to take the survey, Is it safe to do this or you just take a chance when you take these surveys? I don’t download anything that’s not from Microsoft or a familiar software I have or know.

Once again you could have taken the words and opinion re Zoom Panel right out of MY “copybook” including your reference to my ” You betcha” heroine Sarah. Also noteworthy is your sentiment re the points not being identified until AFTER survey completed (if at all)- for the longest time I thought I was doing something wrong or not clicking on some box somewhere………….and yes it takes forever plodding to accumulate points and at less than 2500 it ain’t worth much having anywho….
As always thanks for doing such a superior job for all of us !

Follow-up thoughts re ZOOM. For quite a while they were having “technical” probs which they seem to have ironed out over the least 3-4 months and they are good about notifying you after the fact in separate Emails that you have received “X” points- plus are quite conscientious about getting back to you re any encountered probs with real person, real answers vice auto-responses.

If Zoom Panel paid cash, it would be one of my favorite survey sites. They have frequent surveys that are of reasonable length. (There are not many surveys I can tolerate that go over 20 minutes. The exception to that rule is if I doing a product testing I feel I made a committment to give my full assessment and will take as much time as necessary on the product’s survey.) I took Zoom Panel surveys for over 2 years before I had enough points to claim any merchandise I wanted. I cashed in my points and terminated my membership. There is a survey site where I find interesting surveys, Polling Point, but their incentative system is terrible. Most of the surveys are current event related which I find a welcome change from food, grocery products, financial products and car surveys. However, you receive 500 points per survey and at 17,500 you are eligible for a tote bag or at 20,000 a t-shirt. I still take an ocassional survey from them for my interests only since I know there is no “reward” in sight.

zoompanel has been fun. mostly I’ve gotten gifts with the points. My husband was looking every where for a good pepper and salt grinder and I surprised him by getting him one. Later my mom broke her hand mixer so I replaced it. It was great.

Zoompanel has helped me get a few season tv dvds. I don’t feel like spending $30 for them so it’s nice to get them as a reward for doing surveys.
