Zoom Panel Review: July 2010
Survey Site Reviews July 19th, 2010A comment from Justin over the week-end reminded me that it’s about time to reassess zoom Panel and write an updated review. Here’s the comment:
zoom Panel keeps getting better and better, I noticed in the last month they have upped the points for completing a survey, Instead of 50 zoom points they are not 75, 100, 150 zoom points. The best thing about zoom Panel is that they are now allowing members to trade in your points for an assortment of great Gift Cards. 1,000 points equals a $10.00 gift card.
From what I understand, the gift card option is only for a limited time with no word on how long it will last. So if you haven’t been all that thrilled with the merchandise offered, you may want to jump in to get your Amazon Gift card while you still can!
As I’ve stated in the past, points for merchandise isn’t my favorite form of payment, but zoom Panel is one of the best in that category. You’ll get plenty of surveys, and as Justin said, the point values have improved as of late. And who knows, maybe the gift cards will be such a big hit that they will keep it around permanently! If Zoom Panel kept the Amazon gift card option, I would definitely consider rejoining.

Three months after joining Zoom Panel I won the $500 sweepstake. Wow I was surprised! Needless to say Zoom Panel was my Favorite survey site for years. Then after about 4 years they quit sending me surveys. I emailed them and asked about they said to go to my account and update my email address (change) and password. It didn’t help. I finally redeemed my 7500 points for some Harry Potter books. I really liked Zoom Panel but maybe I got too old. I’m 63.

I just checked my account at zoom panel and it looks like the gift card option is gone. I pretty much gave up on them in the last yeat because they never have anything I wanted. I did get a toaster last year just to spend some of my points. I’ll start checking them now and then to see if the gift card option comes back.

I just logged into my account on Zoom Panel to check and the Gift Cards are still their. The following Gift Card selections below are in the rewards section: Amazon.com/ Best Buy/ Borders/ Barnes & Nobel/ Kohls Gift Card/ Lands End/ Lowes/ Macy’s/ Sears/ Starbucks/ and Subway. All Gift Cards cost 1,000 points for a $10.00 dollar gift card. All Amazon.com Gift Cards are E-Certificates that come directly to your email.

I have to say that I am very upset up Zoom panel at this time. I have been taking surveys for them for over 2 and half years now and I had over 8000 points built up since I was working on a particular reward item. About a month ago I could not get logged into my account, I tried sending them emails to see what what going on and I would get these emails back that did not even address the issue that I was having this went on for 3 weeks. Well last week I got an email that said they had had a number of returned surveys so they had shut down my account, they were happy that I wanted to be reinstated and here was 50 bonus points for the survey I was having trouble taking, mind you I never reported one time that I was having trouble with a survey. Imagine my surprise wen I went into my account and the only points that I now have are the 50 they awarded me for that survey. All the points that I had built up taking their surveys are gone and I have tried calling them , emailing them, which I still get emails with lame excuses that donot have anything to do with the missing points. I do not know how to go about getting my points back but if I ever do I will get my reward with them and than that will be the last time I deal with this survey company.

I’ve been a member of Zoom Panel for some time now, and I believe they are currently better than ever! Zoom Panel is one good, solid survey panel, and I highly recommend it to people.

i very much dislike zoom panel. i have been signed up with them for 5 or 6 years and suddenly, i hear nothing from them for months. i, too, lost a lot of points and they never respond to any e-mails. i am done with them. they are shady with certain people, i guess. seems they got all my opinions and hard work for nothing. they reaped off of me and i got nothing.

if they keep them, i may re join

This Soooo sounds like it was written by Zoom PR. So they raised their point awards…so what. The “gift” (hard earned) items they offered were always way over valued. The only way to get your money’s worth was to give to charity. Amazon gift card? I already have several from another panel that I’ve been struggling to figure out how to spend for two years. Give me an Ebay card anyday, PLEASE.

I have been a member for a long time and I only get 5 points per survey because I never qualify for a survey. So just because they are giving more points for their surveys does not mean you will get those points. The surveys are very long and you usually have to answer 10 pages of questions which are 50 questions per page before you are disqualified. I do not know if the so called sweepstakes they offer is legit, I never won anything from them. The merchandise that they offer is worst than dollar store items and the items are very overpriced. Never seen a gift card option, just give me old fashion money or pay pal.

I have been a member for a long time and have racked up a ton of points. I usually never spent them because the merchandise wasn’t that great and usually overpriced. I will definitely check out the gift cards though. Overall, it’s a good survey site, especially the past couple months when they have been paying out 75pts instead of 50.

I’ve been with them for quite some time and have a lot of points accumulated but never saw anything worth getting so I stopped doing their surveys. I just logged in very excited about the gift card option but I don’t see any available.

This company used to be one of the best offering multiple studies every day. Now, according to them I’m too old to participate in their research. Last Sunday, I was told I look in my 30s. The reason is rigid strength training and a proper diet, but I also ‘think’ young. None of this matters to Zoom Panel anymore. They want their participants to be 25 years old and younger which is fine with me because I can gladly compete with anyone twice my age or 20 years younger. There are plenty of other ‘fish’ in the sea that are much better at what they do than Zoom Panel and you can send this to them to read it and weep! Every dog has his day….

Zoom has been good to me for several years. The rewards have been very useful, and there is a good selection Surveys are good numbers regularly.

RIM52, which rewards have you gotten?
July 21st, 2010 at 5:28 pm
I searched through 107 pages of 1,000 point rewards and did not find any gift cards offered. There is no category “gift cards” in the “browse by category” column. Would someone who found this offer please tell the rest of us where to look. Thanks.

I don’t think this offer shows up for everyone. For me there was a catagory for gift cards on the left hand side, but I know others that didn’t have it.

Very MIXED bag of reviews here. Not a member of Zoom Panel. The rewards sound uninteresting. If they don’t offer Amazon or other Gift Cards to All panelists… then I’ll PASS.
And I wonder what is up with that????????… why are gift cards option available to some and not others? Hmmm.

The gift card selection is under the section called(Gift Cards LIMITED TIME ONLY) That is weird why the gift cards are not showing up for others in their account. Maybe the gift cards are for a set of people. I usually complete each survey that Zoom Panel sends me so maybe they are only giving the gift cards to the people who participate in ever survey. You might want to contact Zoom Panel to see what the case is.

I was curious about this since I’m part of Zoom Panel and have over 7,000 points (just sitting there in my account forever because I’ve found absolutely nothing I want), but there is no “limited time” gift card section to choose from, at least not for me. That’s not very fair for them to do that for only select people. I’ve been with them for well over a year and try to complete every survey. I contacted them to see what’s up with the gift cards because I’d love to spend my points on those. Who knows if I’ll hear back from them, but it’s worth a shot. I’ll post back here if I ever get a reply.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED. BEWARE!!! I have been doing surveys for 8 years or more. I started to not receive surveys and had issues logging in to my account. When I finally got logged in – my account with almost 12,000 points had been cancelled. I checked the rules and it says if you don’t do a survey for 3 months your account will be disabled, but I hadn’t done one in just a week or two. I have emailed numerous times and have received NO RESPONSE to resolve this issue. I was thinking of contacting the Better Business Bureau or similar. Anyone have any ideas? It is the people taking surveys that fuel their business – you’d think they would treat us nicely!

Zoom Panel cancelled my account as well about a year ago and i lost all my points. I eventually signed up with them again, but have only received 1 survey invite since then. This site isn’t worth my time right now.

Well, I contacted them several times about gift cards only being for select people and they never responded. Figures. What a great company. Customer service is a joke. Definitely contact the BBB if they cancel your account for no reason.
