Sweepstakes Lead to High Paying Surveys
Advice May 12th, 2010People are always asking how to qualify for higher paying surveys. When I answer that many Invoke surveys and online focus groups result from completing surveys that are initially sweepstakes only, most folks don’t believe it. It’s easy to get frustrated, especially with surveyspot, when so many of their surveys are for sweepstakes not cash. However, as you will see from the conversations below, patience does indeed pay off. I’ve reprinted some of the recent experiences of our forum members to show you what can be behind those annoying sweestakes surveys!
From Laura H (April 20th):
If it’s any consolation, I joined Survey Spot in November, and was on the verge of quitting them in January as well…but I stuck it out and I am soooooooooo glad I did. I think surveyspot wants to see if you’re serious about surveys before offering a lot more point surveys – I did my best to take most sweeps surveys the first three months, and suddenly, within the last two months, I’ve been receiving and qualifying for quite a few points surveys (and I got my first Invoke last week, too). I’m only taking surveys ‘part-time’ and I’m still managing to earn a few bucks each week now through SS.
From Paddy’s Mum:
Thank you for the confirmation, Laura. Nay-sayers elsewhere have poo-poohed their sweepstakes surveys, but they lead to invokes, communispace, and other lucrative “by invitation only” panels.
From Laura H (May 5th):
This week has been the week of higher paying invites for me. Within the last 48 hours, I’ve had a $50 forum invite from surveyspot, a $15 3-day forum invite from toluna, two forum memberships from memolink, and just now a $100 chat invite also from surveyspot. I’ll let you guys know how they all work out! Other than a Communispace invite I got from surveyspot last month (which has paid out $15 so far), these are my first invites I’ve qualified for. I’m pretty excited! (And it couldn’t be at a better time – I have to move next month, so this is putting a nice dent in that security deposit!)
I thought it would be helpful to use Laura H as an example. It took her 4 months of taking surveys for her to be rewarded with the higher paying surveys. As you can see, her patience has really paid off! It gives everyone hope and inspiration to read success stories so please share your experiences with us as well!

I am fairly certain that SurveySpot tries to weed out the so-called professional survey takers by offering Invokes and Communispace forums to those who complete surveys for sweepstakes. I know I am missing out on some big paydays, but my time and patience for taking surveys without incentives has been running low lately. Good luck to those of you that do take these and get paid for your efforts!

I’ve been with SurveySpot for a number of years, and they’re one of the best of the lot. I would not hesitate to recommend them to ANYONE, period. Treat them with respect, and they’ll do the same with you.

I don’t know about all of the above. I have been with SS for a year and a half, and the good surveys, invokes and focus groups seem to come in spurts. It all depends on how many and how quick they need a response. SS has always been fair with me and have made some extra cash with them. They are a good company and have lots of surveys, a lot more sweeps than paying ones. I don’t think they have someone who checks to see how many sweeps surveys everyone does or doesn’t do. That would take an army of people and I don’t think it would benefit them or anyone else.

I haven’t received an Invoke Interactive from SurveySpot since last year, but I do earn about $250 a year with them.

I also have to Agree that Survey Spot is the Best Survey Site by far for me. I’ve done 7 Invokes since the 1st of the year and I get alot of good paying surveys. Not to mention the 17 Products that were sent to me already this year. Some pay an incentive but some don’t, but I still get the Free Product so that Is just Great in my Book !!

Clare, do your Invokes from SurveySpot come as a result of doing surveys for sweepstakes and no stated points incentive in the email?

Whee, I’m famous!
Just a quick update on that last post – I’ve since completed the $100 SurveySpot chat invite and the $15 Toluna forum, and am waiting to be credited (4-6 weeks), and will post again when they arrive. I ended up screening out of the other $50 SurveySpot invite, however. I’m still working on the two MemoLink invites.
Since then, I’ve also gotten an Invoke from Toluna (couldn’t do the times offered, unfortunately), and another community invite from SurveyHead where I’m still waiting for details.
It’s funny, though, because I still tend to pass over the sweeps-only offers on most days because I just don’t have time – but on my days off when I do try, I’ve been getting rather lucky lately.

Lee you wanted to Know: Do your Invokes from SurveySpot come as a result of doing surveys for Sweepstakes and no stated points incentive in the email?
Yes ~ These Invokes do come from No stated Points Incentive. I only get a Few sent to me by Email, usually I complete as many surveys as I can and then run across them, but again they are from Sweepstakes, so Go Ahead and Do them, they are Out there for You…

I’ve also got invited from Survey Spot with just doing a Sweepstakes for a online Bulletin Board discussion group that’s paying me 2500 pts.
As for Toluna so far this year I did (4) Invokes and when you click on the survey it Doesn’t Pay No Points, so that’s a Clue something good is Coming.

I think once I have cancelled InboxDollars/SendEarnings and a few other sites that I don’t care for I might start taking a few SurveySpot surveys for sweeps. I already do the ones for less ten minutes or less, but maybe some of those for more than ten minutes might lead to Invokes. Any ideas on that?
May 13th, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Actually Lee the surveys usually are for a short time, I would say 15 mins. or less and most of the time less than 10 mins.
May 14th, 2010 at 11:35 am
That’s why I always take the ten minute surveys. I will start taking the 15 minute surveys now as well. Thanks!

How do I sign up for this site? I tried the link you provided and it doesn’t work.
May 14th, 2010 at 3:08 pm
I was asking about Pinecone.
May 15th, 2010 at 11:41 am
Pinecone is bu invitation only. Someone will post a link on the forum when they are requesting new members. http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/

I must say that Survey Spot USED to be the best in the industry, but recently they have gotten SO CHEAP! Points are a literal cop-out. Survey Spot offers several surveys every day as I have been with them since 2006, but now I dislike that company a lot. I rarely take a survey with them because I know it means nothing in return for my dedication to their studies. Eventually, others will see it that way too. It’s a shame.

Not a Fan of Survey Spot either. Nothing at all like they were 3 years ago. Back then (off and on) I took surveys for sweeps and received (on a regular basis) numerous surveys for 1,2,3,5,7,10,15,20, and 25 dollars! Now nothing much at all point wise……. But I am happy for all those who are having success with S. Spot and taking surveys for sweeps that lead up to higher paying ones. For me, I find that a lot of their sweeps surveys are even very hard to qualify for. Soon as I choose One answer that they don’t like, I get instantly kicked out of the survey. I wasn’t even given a chance.
I don’t feel good about Spot anymore. They are not fair like they used to be in my opinion. I honestly don’t even think that they like me very much. Maybe it’s all those complaint emails that I sent. I guess they actually bothered to read them after all. Oh well, I am thankful for the money that I did earn with them in the Past. Don’t think I’ll ever see those days again at this rate.
I am grateful that there are other panels out there. Because Spot is just not working out too well for me. Not giving up on them yet, just not expecting a lot

You have to compare SurveySpot with other survey sites and what you currently earn from them. Even GTM offers surveys for sweeps now. They are still number one for me even with the 50 point surveys and sweeps, which can lead to an Invoke.
