MyView: Top 25 Legitimate Survey Review
Random Rambles, Survey Site Reviews, Top February 8th, 2008Maybe being a born again non-smoker has stirred these long suppressed feelings. Come to think of it, I’ve never had these feelings, ever. But I am on a cleaning spree and in a BIG way. I’ve cleaned out from under beds, the closets, drawers…it’s amazing. I think I found about $100 in change under the sofa cushions in my son’s room. I’ve found things I thought were long gone, a watch, a favorite pair of shoes, Sylvester, the iguana (ok, no pets, but it could happen). The closet in the hall has always been referred to as “the Bermuda Triangle”, what goes in is never to be seen again, but no more….I’m on a roll!
I was so excited when I saw the Wine survey in my inbox today from Yourfreesurveys.com. Finally a subject close to my heart. I’ve taken so many surveys lately that I’m on overload with the questions about finances, ugh… and insurance…oh my…but anyway, it was a fun survey to take, and I do know a little about wine. Mostly, now that it’s been deemed a health food (drink) by the powers that be, I’m all about getting my daily requirement in! On top of that, it put $8 in my account. Can’t beat it.
My View is another one of my favorites. It’s not open to everyone, if you try to join, they will tell you it’s by invitation only. They send 2 to 3 surveys a week and they are very well laid out. You’ll know in the beginning if you are disqualified or not. They pay with My View points, which believe it or not is 1 point = $1! What a novel idea! You don’t have to earn 6000 points to get a dollar! It takes about 8 weeks for payment to go through after you put in your request (when your account reaches $25).
I took a survey from My View today that was about a local restaurant, asking opinions on new items, etc. I was disqualified when they gave a list of cities and asked in which city I lived. I’m from a smaller town outside of one of those bigger cities, so I checked the “none” box and was exited from the survey. But they offered another immediately and I qualified. They asked questions about movie commercials during the Super Bowl.
Sign up is easy, a short survey to get started, then on to the member page where you’ll find a list of available opinion surveys. Below that, you’ll find about 15 personality profiles that you can take which will give them a better idea of which surveys to offer you. It’s time consuming, but necessary!
I’ll leave you this political tutorial in this the week of Super Tuesday results.

I am just starting out doing surveys…and to-date, this seems to be the most informational guide I have found. I’m giving it a go and hope to send you some positive feedback.

I joined My View a few weeks ago and have been takeing surveys, but when I try to check my account all I get is Error.I tried to get them to send login information but no responce. I even tried to get them to send a activation email back ,but no responce.Have you had this problem?
April 13th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
I have also experiened log in problems with MyView since January this year. When I attempted to log in, a message appears saying “oops. We can’t find that username. Give it another shot, would you.” I changed my password by clicking the “Forgot username and/or password?” button but I still had the same message appear. So I sent them a message explaining this problem. They quicking send me this message:
Our apologies for any difficulties you have encountered. We have found a glitch with in our sign up/password reset process. This glitch does not effect everyone all the time.
You can check periodically to see if you can get in. Our dedicated tech team is working diligently on this problem
As always, we value your opinions and look forward to your continued participation in our online community. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
This problem was recently fixed when I loged in to my account. Here are a couple of helpful hints to fix problem:
-Request a link to change your password by clicking here
http://portal.myview.com/portal/app?cmd=ResendPassword
-Send them an email at customerservice@myview.com and explain your problem

Correction…
MYVIEW doesn’t pay with points, they tell you how many dollars each survey is… the call them MYVIEW DOLLARS: “Come check out our latest survey about cell phones services, and earn 3 MyView Dollars for completing!”
May 5th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
Today Myview sent me an survey invite about Food(Restaraunt survey). The survey was for $2 MyView Dollars. When I clicked the survey link, I saaw a welcoming message and something else that would become annoying. I had to enter a six digit code that was displayed in the screen. The code was obviously 191161 but when I enter the number in the text box nothing happened. It didn’t have a button to click on. And finally when I entered 191119 it took me to a different screen. It said: Thank you for your interest in this study; however, this survey is now closed. We appreciate your willingness to share your opinions with us. Thanks!
Now that was a big waste of time. It took me almost hour to get to different screen on this survey. I don’t blame MyView of this problems, It was Socratic Web Survey that was messed up. But I guess it was MyView fault for partnering with this lame survey page. Hopefully this will not happen to me again because it will make me reevalute My View.

Today I got a very unique survey from MyView. The topic was about “New Food Product Survey”. Here is the message in the email:
We would like to invite you to take part in our new survey about the foods you consume. A major food manufacturer is interested in your opinions regarding their product’s packaging, taste, and overalll appearance. In order to get the full experience, we would like to invite you to take part in a special community survey where you may get sent several products over a period of 6 months and be specially asked to take surveys based on your experience. This can qualify you for additional rewards and survey opportunities. Your thoughts and feedback are highly regarded and will be used to improve the products you see on grocery store shelves.
The survey was about meat snacks like Slim Jim. By the end of the survey, I was asked if I wanted to join the FeedBack Consumer Guidance Panel. Here is a short description they gave me:
A Consumer Guidance Panel is a group of people that agree to participate in marketing research as companies are developing new products. This may involve giving opinions on products or services via email or web surveys like this one. It also may involve sampling products and subsequently giving your opinions about them by completing an online survey. If you qualify to be a panel member, you will be compensated for future participation.
Would you like to be considered to be a member of a Consumer Guidance Panel to evaluate new meat snack products at home?
Of course I said YES when they asked me to join their panel. I hope I get selected to try these new meat snacks because I really enjoy eating meat snaks like Slim Jim. Oh I almost forgot, If I am sent the new products then I am a chance to make some money after I take a survey abotu the product. They didn’t say how much they would pay me for my time. 4(6)

Hey I didn’t know this was an actually survey panel. I thought it was just for this survey I took yesterday. I guess you found that website by doing a search on the panel I was talking about. Anyway good luck with Feedback CGP. Hopefully I will be selected to participate in that MyView survey about meat snacks.

I have belonged to MyView for about 2.5 years now and they just recently changed over to the “MyView Dollars”. They used to credit your PayPal account with each survey amount instead of the min. $25.
I’m pretty much satisfied with them except for one survey about soups said that I would get $1 and then in the middle of it it said that I qualified for and additional $4 award and when it was all over with I was only awarded the $1 and when I questioned them they said that I needed to send them the survey # which I did and they never got back to me about it and only have been credited the $1. Also in my account I have a “pending payment” of $2 from 1.5 years ago and when I ask about that they just give me some standard answer about it and then I also noticed that I was “denied” my reward for another survey which I can’t get a straight answer on.
Other than those 3 things I have been a happy member to MyView. Hopefully that last $10 survey won’t be “denied” and I will be able to cash out with $30+.
Thanks for this AWESOME site! I’ve found a few survey sites that I hadn’t heard of and now have joined!

LUCKY YOU maplaver!!!!

I am really happy that I stumbled upon this site. Seems like a bunch of nice people here!
I’ve been doing surveys for almost 10 years now, my first one was with Pinecone Research when it was Acorn Research and they used to send out $5 checks per survey.
As of March I’ve been unemployed and doing surveys has brought me a little extra spending money
Thanks again for the nice welcome.

Kelly,
Do u know why they pay $3 per survey now?
June 18th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
I checked my rewards today and I had $30 approved and $2 pending so I requested payment ($25 required to cashout).
I’ll let you know when I receive it in my paypal account.
I’m very happy

Maybe you guys should contact My View though this email comments@myview.com That is were you can tell myview that you think about them. If I were you I would just mention that their customer service email. This is what they say in their website, “If we stink, tell us how we can stop stinking.” Tell them they stink at comments@myview.com
By they way, I contacted MyView Customer service early this year about a log in error and they responded relatively fast. I guess now they have no checking that email. 7(1)

I have given up on MyView for the time being because 1) they never credited me properly for all of the Basic Profile and other surveys that I took with them (12), 2) they declared the three surveys (out of 12) that I did complete, plus one that was pending, FRAUD and NEVER bothered to reply to repeated emails about why they took this action and 3) I just don’t have time for any more survey companies and will be eliminating ones that either under-perform or have poor customer servie or unethical practices (Hello Tik Tik Cash, can you hear me?)

I’ve never participated in any online surveys but am considering MyView since many of you have confirmed its legitimacy. How much would you say you make per month? Any advice to someone just starting out??
