Opinion Outpost: Top 25 Legitimate Online Paid Survey
Survey Site Reviews, Top Cash Paying Survey Sites February 5th, 2008In the spirit of Super Tuesday, I propose that a candidate’s dancing ability is completely underrated. What could say more about a person’s character than his or her rhythm, or lack thereof? I think it says everything about leadership, openness to new ideas, and charisma, don’t you? (OK, go with me here, this is my lame attempt for a segue to a video : ))
Opinion Outpostis a relative newcomer in the land of online surveys, but it’s one of my favorites. It is extremely well laid out and easy to navigate. There is an area where you can look at your detailed survey history, available surveys, and surveys pending completion. What you have earned is readily accessible, with an easy to understand accounting of your points (money earned) to date conveniently located in one area. This is a points system, but a very simple one, 10 points =$1. When you have earned 50 points ($5), you can cash out and receive a check in the mail.
Opinion Outpost’s average survey pays $3 to $10, and I have gotten 1 to 2 a week since I joined them. They usually have a short screener survey, to see if you qualify. The survey I took today was an interesting and concise energy survey that took about 20 minutes and paid $3 (30 points) The points generally post within a few minutes, which saves you from the inevitable hand wringing while wondering if you got credit for your time. Customer service, so far, has been superior, as my questions have been answered the day I sent them.
My only complaint is the random wild-west theme (I guess all of the other alliteration choices to pair with “opinion” were already taken
) but hey, that’s just me. Come to think of it, there are more than a few “survey sites” that could do the name “Opinion Outhouse” proud!!!
I’ll leave you with a virtual mountain bike experience, which looks like so much fun!
But then again, I’m guessing that if I’m weak-kneed and nauseous watching the video, flying through the air on a bike won’t be my thing.

Opinion Outpost: Top 25 Legitimate Online Surveys…
Very helpful review of a top 25 on line survey site. Explains all you need to know about joining in a clever and informative way. Funny videos….

That looks awesome, stupid and unsafe but fun!
February 6th, 2008 at 12:52 am
I have been taking online surveys for almost three years now. (The first survey group I joined was HarrisPollOnline.) Since then there has only been one survey panel that I’m most excited about, and that is Opinion Outpost. I have made the most money this them since I joined three months ago. (a total of about $42.25 in my account) This site is one of my top ten survey sites that pays good money for your opinion and they also pay you if you invite your friends to join the panel.
PS.. Cool and fuuny video..

stupid, unsafe, but I would love to try it.

I am posting this comment because it has been all most two months since I complete my last Opinion Outpost survey. I haven’t received a survey invite since then. If any one who is a member of Opinion Outpost and is experiencing the same thing as me, then please do tell. I don’t want to go three months without getting an invite from them.
Well this is my third comment for today so I get an entry to the contest.
April 24th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Today I got a $20 check from Opnion Outpost. I requested this check on March 21 so it took almost 5 weeks for me to receive the check. They said to allow 4-8 weeks for Opinion Point check processing and delivery. That all good because it didn’t take 8 weeks for me to get the check.
Well now that I have a $20 check in my name, I very excited to participate in the next Opinion Outpost survey. But I still haven’t received an email from them since two months ago. I’m going to have to leave a them a message.
May 5th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
I just got my $19.10 check from OpinionOutpost that I requested on April 1. This is the second check I have received of the three I requested on April 1. The first to arrive was from SurveySpot for $26.

I don’t like this survey site
I receive a survey invitation in my email everyday but I always get this:
“We’re sorry, you were not a match for this survey. Generally this is due to reasons like not owning or having experience with the product or service the survey is targeting. We do our best to match you to surveys you will qualify to complete. Thank you for your willingness to respond.
Please look for more survey opportunities in the future.”
I’M TIRED OF DOING THE SCREENING ? AND THEN GETTING THAT MESSAGE
May 6th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Today I received 2 surveys from them… and guess what? I didn’t qualify for either
Unlike Eddie, my problem is not RECEIVING surveys from them… is QUALIFYING
May 9th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
Today I sent the a message to the Opinion Outpost consumer servive. This is the message:
I have been an member of Opinion Outpost since October of last year. I always enjoyed participating in all the surveys I was invited to. But recently, I have not received a survey in almost three months. I’m worried that if I don’t take a survey soon, then my current points will expire. Please sent me at least one survey so I don’t have to see my points disappear. Thanks
They say that most of their message are responded to in a 24 hour period. That was true the first time I sent them a message telling them I liked the new layout of their website. Hopefully they will respond by the end of the day but I mainly want them to send me a survey invite.

Today I saw that they responded to the message I sent them yesterday. I got the email yesterday at 10:55 pm, but I saw it today. Here is what they told:
Thank you for contacting Opinion Outpost Support!
Your account shows that you were opted out of the panel because your Inbox has been rejecting mails or survey invitations from us. I have however reactivated your account for you. Please add http://www.opinionoutpost.com and myopinioncounts@opinionoutpost.com to your safe list to make sure you receive mails from us.

When I first read this message, I was confused because I NEVER opted out their panel. I waited to damn long to complain to them. That is a big mistake. Now I added their email to my contact so I can start getting survey invites. I will post a message here when I get my first survey for them. 4(4)

Today I finally received my first Opinion Outpost survey invite in almost three months. The survey was the same one maplaver took from Survey Spree and the same one I completed from Mindfield Online. After I finished this survey for the second time, I got 20 opinion points. I’m glad I finally got a survey for one of my favorite survey panels. Hopefully they will keep the survey invites coming. 7(2)

I got $10.30 from Opinion Outpost today! Wendies’ Value Menu here I come!
June 12th, 2008 at 12:39 am
I just finished taking a 5 minute Opinion Outpost survey that was worth 50 Opinion Points. That is $5 and if I qualified I would participate in a $100 focus group. This was the second best survey I EVER took in terms of reward. But of course I did not qualify. I was screened out when I entered my age.
June 12th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
NICE ONE EDDIE!!!
June 13th, 2008 at 1:22 am
yeah, but it would have been a whole lot nicer if I QUALIFIED for the $100 focus group!! But I guess they were looking for old people…
June 15th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
Hi,
Does opinion outpost pys by Paypal? Please let me know. I think they don’t.
Regards
Bill
June 15th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
Hi Bill! You are exactly right, Opinion Outpost only pays by check. I’m not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that. Thanks for correcting me, I’m going to edit it now! Heath
July 25th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
I signed up & was deleting there surveys due to lack of time (Bad move!) because I then saw how much they paid. I took 2 surveys and now have 7.00 in my account. WhoooHoooo. So basically every survey you qualify for pays you cash. AWESOME SITE! My only regret is I wish they paid by PayPal.
July 26th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Jen,
Yes I agree with the paypal comment. Also SURVEY SPOT!!! I wish ALL survey companies offer paypal… waiting 4 a check is soooooooo long
October 3rd, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Opinion Outpost is easily my #2 favorite survey site overall (and #1 for points for cash) because 1) No other survey site even comes close to the earnings other than SurveySpot above, 2) they send a good number of surveys all of which guarantee you points for cash, 3) I qualify for the majority of them so their screening process is excellent and 4) they compensate you fairly for your time.
Here is my earnings record:
Opinion Points Balance Earnings Points Cash Value
Points Earned Since Joining 1342 $134.20
Points Redeemed So Far 1302 $130.20
Current Balance 40 $4.00

Yeah, I agree with the above post. Opinion Outpost is the best points survey panel and one of the best panels overall. I haven’t checked my account in a long time but I’m sure I have over $100 in my account.
Below I will rate Opinion Outpost on several very important elements that make a great survey panel. The scale in be from 0 to 10, the higher the number the better.
Layout of webpage: 10 Their account section is very good will a full report on all the surveys you attempted. Finding the FAQs and a contact form is very easy just like attempting to qualify for one of their surveys.
Customer Service: 9 I have contacted them two times I the past and their respond is fast. Usually with in a day or two.
Reward System: 9 Their Opinion Points system is a very efficient way of making money. Some surveys are have a very high time over reward ratio meaning the time is low, reward is high. But other surveys have a fair to moderate ratio. It all depends on who is hosting the survey.
Redeeming Rewards 7 You can redeem cash when you have 50 points in you account, which is really easy to do. The check have about three to five weeks for delivery. I kind that normal for most survey panels. If they had Pay Pal, then this # would been higher.
Overall: 9 If you haven’t all ready joined this panel then you are missing on a lot of cash.

I just checked my Opinion Outpost account. Below is my current Balance:

Current Balance 1171 $117.10

Current Balance 15 $1.50

congrats 2 all who qualified for the 200 pts survey today. i didnt
October 24th, 2008 at 6:01 am
I am like you I need the the money, hey God sakes christmas Is coming soon so every little bit counts and point makes a defferents.
October 24th, 2008 at 6:11 am
In my postion I rather receive a paper check ,so let the points roll In with the cash yes!
October 30th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
Today I received the $40 check I requested back on the 12 of this month. It took 18 days for me to receive my check. That is a lot faster that the last time I requested a check from them. At that time it took 6 weeks for me to receive my reward. Also the check is in a different envolope where you have carefullly tear out the taps like Survey Spot checks… 30(2)
October 30th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
That’s another reason I prefer GlobalTestmarket, SurveySpot and OpinionOutpost to MyView is because they do not delay sending your checks like I have heard EVERYONE complain about MyView. Any site with PayPal should be the fastest, not the slowest! Take that Tik Tik Cash! Grrrrrrrr!
October 30th, 2008 at 6:28 pm
my 2nd myview payment was fast! it depends… same happens with lightspeed… some payments r like the very next day and some take a long time!
October 30th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
I still haven’t made any money with Lightspeed. That is the one survey company that I have heard the best things about that has not produced much for me yet.

I just play an INSTANT WIN game after not qualifiying for a survey. THIS IS A 1ST FOR ME IN OPINION OUTPOST!!! there were 3 options: instant win, sweepstakes and donation.
October 31st, 2008 at 9:56 pm
ll, u havent made ANYTHING AT ALL with lightspeed???
October 31st, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Yeah, I also was sent to pick one of three options after not qualifying for survey #36024234. This “small thank you reward” is also a first for me. Here is the message I was given:
We’re sorry. You were not a match for this survey.
Whenever you are not a match for a particular survey, you will receive a small thank you reward. Because we want to make sure you get the best possible reward, you can choose either a small donation to charity, a play in our instant win game, or an entry into our sweepstakes.
Good Luck!
I accidentally clicked on the donation button which is the last time that will EVER happen. Donation is a waste!!! 31(2)
October 31st, 2008 at 10:16 pm
If I am reading this correctly, then he has made $20 from Lightspeed which is not bad at all. It just says that this panel can be slow or low in terms of earnings for some people and fast for others.
22. LightSpeed $20.00 (500 points = $5 po) (PayPal) ($20.00 rec’d)
Personally I think this panel has been good to me. I have redeemed $40 from this website and currently have about 6000 or more points in my account. 31(3)

January 11th, 2009 at 1:27 am
Here is why OpinionOutpost is one of the best survey sites in my opinion.
2. Opinion Outpost $181.00 ($5 po) ($169.80 rec’d) ($10.50 req’d)
Opinion Outpost is a solid Number Two favorite survey site because: 1) No other survey site comes close other than SurveySpot (and now YourFreeSurveys), 2) they send paid surveys frequently, 3) their screening process is excellent so I qualify for most surveys and 4) they compensate you fairly for your time.

Let me throw this out there, please. I have 2 surveys started w/ 0.0. But one keeps telling me to answer, which i had already(100 times)and it simply won’t let me proceed. the other one ,started on 1/5 tells me “down for maintance try back in 2 hours.” Obviously it has said this since 1/5. And obviously i’,m madder than brittany spear’s hairstylist. But i’ve not heard of anyone else having any problem. any suggestions? Thank You.
January 11th, 2009 at 4:54 am
STAN,
some of their surveys will stay as STARTED until the study closes. if u finish it, just check ur rewards when it dissapears from the SURVEYS AVAILABLE. DONT KEEP DOING THEM OVER AND OVER cuz that could that could dq u or be seen as fraud. and if nothing gets better, just contact customer service!
April 7th, 2009 at 2:10 am

April 8th, 2009 at 9:53 am

August 14th, 2009 at 8:42 am
hi all,
i am very much excited to receive my first check of 5 dollars from opinion outpost. really this is the site which i trust and everyone can trust.
August 14th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
simply amazing.I the last two mths since i joined I made $ 145.there was a $ 40 study recently on Tv viewing habits which really helped to reach this sum…
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:10 pm
i won the instant win game on opinionoutpost! never thought i would so witht hat instant win game i made 63 dollars in about 3 days, 73 dollars total and i rarely ever even go on….! i love this site!
September 17th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
i have been with opinion outpost for about 2 1/2 months now and have made $11. when i requested the first check of $5.50 it took about two weeks for me to receive it. the second check, also $5.50, took only 4 days for me to receive it! so far this is the best survey site i have found. they send your check in a resonable amount of time. also, the minimum payout is only $5, unlike other sites that require a minimum of $30 to receive a check(which takes forever to reach that amount)..

amazon and debit cards
We at Opinion Outpost are excited to announce two new and improved ways to cash Opinion Points. Ojae Barnes, Director of Opinion Outpost, explains how these upgrades will affect panel members.
We are committed to offering you compelling rewards for participating in surveys. We will continue to look for better ways to say ‘thanks’ with our guaranteed rewards for surveys you’ve completed.
I want to share some exciting news about our up-coming reward options. Our popular Opinion Points program will not change (10 points per dollar) – however, you will now have more options for cashing out your rewards faster and easier than before.
1. Soon you will have the choice to redeem the full cash value of your Opinion Points for Amazon.com gift codes. The best aspect of this incentive is that you will receive your gift code instantly on screen and by email*.
2. Before the end of 2009 you will also be able to redeem your Opinion Points for a Citi prepaid debit card. You can either receive a virtual debit card or choose to have a physical card** mailed to you.
Currently we send a check in the mail to panelists for their redeemed Opinion Points. This process was slow and frustrating for everyone and we feel our new options will be a vast improvement. As a result, we will phase out sending checks as a means of cashing in points early next year. Of course, your point balance will remain unaffected through this transition.
December 8th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
I LOVE Opinion Outpost and get a lot of surveys from them. It is one of my favorites.
April 27th, 2010 at 3:59 pm
I have made quite a few $10 checks from Opinion Outpost. It takes a while to accumulate the points. I think its one of the better sites. You won’t get rich on it, but it is one of the sites that I can regularly get a payment. It seems that I qualify for most of the surveys and I believe I get more checks from them, then any other survey site that I belong to.
April 27th, 2010 at 5:09 pm
I just received a check for $46 from Opinion Outpost, the first check of the year from them. It arrived in less than a week also.
