Online Paid Survey Sites That Pay Cash
Survey Site Reviews, Top Cash Paying Survey Sites May 19th, 2008I’ve had numerous
requests for lists of top online paid survey sites categorized by cash paying, cash and Sweepstakes, Sweepstakes Only, Points (for cash and gift cards) and offer sites. I’ll be doing one each day, and then I’ll have them listed in the index for future reference.
Click on the link to read the full review and comments.
1) Pinecone Research: At the top of everyone’s list, this is a survey site that pays cash by check or Paypal. The link isn’t always available (it’s not at the moment) but I’ll put the link here as soon as it’s available again.
2) Survey Saavy: Another of the top survey sites which pays by check. They don’t send out surveys as often as some of the other sites, but they are worth the wait!
3)American Consumer Opinion Panel (ACOP): Not frequent in the amount of surveys they send out, they are worth your time and pay well when they come. Pays by check for surveys completed, and sweepstakes for screener surveys. I’ve placed it in the cash only list, because they pay cash for completed surveys.
4)Esearch: Pays cash by Paypal after each survey you complete. Another one that doesn’t send out many surveys. But it does pay cash, so I’ve put it here.
5)Brand Institute: Paypal or check
6) Mindfield Online: Payment by check
7) Surveys.com: Payment by Paypal for every survey.
Clear Voice: Payment by Payoneer or prepaid debit card.
I hoping for feedback from you guys on this before I add it to the list. Please let me know if I have left any out, or need to take one of these off. Any comments are welcome. Tomorrow I will be doing the list of the points for cash or gift card sites that is quite a bit longer than this one. Suggestions on categories are welcome as well!

I would also add Opinion Outpost, SurveySpot, Your2Cents, Valued Opinions, HCD and Socratic Forums to this list. If a survey company has a point system, but pays in cash, I would include them in this group.
Also, slightly more problematic, are InBox Dollars and Send Earnings, both subsidiaries of Cotter Web Enterprises, but they do have daily $0.50 surveys as well as paid-to-click emails that lead to trial offers. These could be considered hybrid survey/trial offer/paid to click sites.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:29 pm
Addendum: Greenfield Online would be the very last survey on this list. Other good ones that would qualify would be Buzzback, Lightspeed (points for cash), Survey Saavy, IPSOS and Global Opinion. I would only disallow companies that have a point system that ONLY rewards you with gift cards, prizes or sweepstakes entries such as Opinion Square, Opinion Central, Polling Point, Harris Polls and E-Poll.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Lee, deciding on categories is a tough one! How about doing your list as a separate list titled “Point system that pays cash”? Or do you think it’s more helpful to do it all in one?
May 19th, 2008 at 11:39 pm
You could break down paid surveys into two sub groups of point-based for cash and cash only. I also notice that the link for 4) esearch.com leads to links in your review for the e-Survey Group, which appears to be an offers site that allows you to join legitimate survey sites, along with less legitimate offers. You may want to double check that.
May 19th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
That’s a good idea. I’ll do the points for cash tomorrow and then put them together under “Surveys that pay cash”. I noticed the dead link today and let “the guy in charge” know about it. He’s changing it tomorrow. I also found out about the Pinecone/Vindale issue. Pincone did that redirect, which I think is odd. But they don’t have an active link at the moment. Go figure.

May 20th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
You’re right. I forgot about the $5 PayPal for 800 points! I can receive that now that I have a PayPal account again.

LEE, u can also join OPINION PLACE
May 20th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Heath,
I think u need 2 re do that list more carefully.
U’re missing several survey panels that pay cash, some named by LEE… others like OPINION PLACE, SURVEY SPREE and SURVEYS.COM
I think u should divide in SURVEYS THAT PAY CASH BY CHECK OR PAYPAL, SURVEYS THAT PAY CASH THROUGH POINTS, SURVEYS THAT PAY WITH GIFTCARDS, SURVEYS THAT PAY WITH PRIZES, AND OFFER SITES WITH DAILY SURVEYS.
May 20th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
LEE,
Besides the HARRIS POLL mistake, there’s another 1: POLLING POINT pays cash 2!!! $100 is the top prize
May 20th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
With Polling Point you need 100,000 points for $100. They pay 500 points per poll, so you will need to complete 200 surveys. I receive between 1-2 surveys per week at most, which would take me 200-400 weeks, or about two to four years, to complete enough surveys to cash out, assuming you qualify and complete every survey. That would be $25 to $50 per year. I am earning close to that much per month from a few surveys.
May 20th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
Yup, I’m working on the list for tonight that is “points for cash”. Some people don’t like having to keep up with points and their values, so I had the request to separate it out. There are folks out there that don’t want to bother with anything that doesn’t say “take this survey and you’ll get $5″ or whatever. Heath
May 20th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
Polling Point is really a points for prize site in my opinion, because no one is EVER going to win that $100 in this lifetime.
The important thing is to get the offers sites in a separate category because NOONE wants to get involved with those and no one should either. I am beginning to feel very sad at clicking on all of those TikTik Cash emails even though I am already up to $43 after three months. It’s just not worth it in the long run. You should have a Paid To Click category also.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
I agree with Lee’s comment #14. Polling Point is mainly a “points=prizes” site even though it offers $100. Their site is mostly focused on offering prizes because they don’t have other lower cash prizes. Now I think HarrisPollOnline should be put on the “points=prizes” even though they do offer $5 for 800points. But I understand why some people want it to be put on the “points=cash” section.
I also agree with Lee’s second statement. The main point of this is to separate the many survey panels reviewed in this blog is to get the goods sites in one pile and the bad sites (i.e offer sites) in another stack. And yeah offer sites can make someone sad when after three months they don’t have $50 with them. I made more than $100 from Survey Spot, a legitimate survey panel, in less than three months.
May 21st, 2008 at 12:07 am
I don’t see why u can’t put the same survey panel in different lists. It should be like that because not everyone likes all types. So 4 example, HARRISPOLLONLINE should be named in the POINTS 4 CASH list and ALSO in the POINTS FOR PRIZES list.
May 21st, 2008 at 1:29 pm
I think Harris Poll is definitely a survey for cash site because you can cash out every 800 points for $5, while Polling Point is clearly a survey for prizes site because it would take far too long to cash out 100,000 points for $100. A true paid online survey company would not make you wait longer than one year to cash out.
May 21st, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Surveys.com aka GfK DOES NOT for every survey. They ONLY pay you if it states that the survey has an incentive in the email invite. For example today I got a survey invite from them. The subject was “A Short Survey with Incentive from Surveys.com is Available Now”.
Here is what it said in the email: “Reward- Everyone who completes the full survey will recieve $1 via PayPal. In addition, upon completion of this survey, you will be entered into our $5,000 monthly cash giveaway where you will have a chance to win up to $1,000. Each survey you complete gives you another chance to win.”
So they do pay for surveys but ONLY if it the email invite says that an incentive is offered.

Eddie, the same applies 2 SURVEY SPOT.

January 26th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
I have been doing surveys just since October of 08. And alot of them I found were for points which you exchange for cash through paypal or check. But on some of them, it takes so many points to even $5 that it would take a year to make the $5. So, the best site for surveys I have found and they keep they’re word and pay through paypal is this one at YourFreeSurveys.com. I have not found another like it yet. Thanks.
February 2nd, 2009 at 4:51 pm
I got an email today about a survey site called cashback research they say they pay once a month to paypal and you can take 2 surveys a day 10$ payout does anyone know anything about this site?

When will I start seeing some type of benifits from doing the surveys. Every survey I do always tells me I am not
needed for the survey. So I’m finding that it is not worth my time and effort
May 8th, 2009 at 12:11 am
read ALL the reviews here and join only the good panels!

I started keeping records of my paid online surveys January 31, 2008. It has been 15 months since I started. I spend an average of two to three hours per day taking surveys. Here are the amounts that I have earned from 32 paid online survey sites. I have earned $2570.74 in 15 months from 32 survey sites, which is $171.38 per month. My actual receipts are $2422.79, which is $161.52 per month. The average survey site earned $5.36 per month, but that does not take into account how recently I joined some sites, so I predict that this number will go up dramatically. I have added the dates that I joined each site as well as whether they have PayPal, Invokes or product trials. About 15% of my earnings are from product trials and Invoke Interactives. I just joined Viewpoint, SurveyHead, Paid Survey Rewards and Web Cash List in the past month or two. I have retired Tik Tik Cash, a trial offer site, that I received $100.06 from and the invitation-only Capital One forum, which not only earned me $80.00 in Amazon gift certificates, but also awarded me an Apple MacBook ($1300) and Apple 8gb Touch iPod ($200) in their forum-ending contest.

Surveys that Pay Cash
———————————————————-
There are five basic types of incentives that online paid survey sites reward you with: cash, points for cash, points for gift cards, points for prizes and sweepstakes entries. I will briefly describe the advantages and disadvantages of each type over the next few articles. I prefer survey sites that pay in cash or points for cash and I do not like survey sites that pay only in sweepstakes entries; but, there are valid reasons why you should have a balance of different survey sites in your survey site portfolio and I will discuss these reasons and explain which sites in each category are better and why.
The number one survey site that pays in cash, in my opinion, is Survey Spot ($370.80 earned, $351.80 received since 2008-01-30) because they not only pay in cash, but they pay me the most per month on average ($24.72) of any other site. They currently only pay by checks, but they recently announced that they would begin to implement PayPal, making them perfect in nearly every way. This brings us to point number one: survey sites that pay via PayPal as opposed to checks are preferred as your payments are generally received much quicker. There are exceptions, such as Surveyhead ($25 since 2009-02-05), another fairly good paying survey site that pays in cash via PayPal, but whose payments often do not arrive in your PayPal account for two weeks or longer after they have been requested. Greenfield Online ($104.00 since 2008-02-13) is another survey site that now pays via PayPal and though I have not earned nearly as much with them over the past eight months as I did during the first six months, they do send out plenty of surveys, including lucrative Invoke Interactives that pay between $25 and $35 usually and sometimes as much as $100 or more. Another very solid survey site that pays in cash via PayPal is Pinecone Research ($66 since 2008-04-03). Their $3 survey payments via PayPal are almost instantaneous once their surveys have closed; although, many people complain that they do not send out enough surveys. Remember: everyone wants more frequent, higher paying surveys, but if a site is a consistent, hassle-free earner that provides you with regular, shorter, well-constructed surveys and no surprises regarding payments, that is a very good site to include in your portfolio.
I am biased in favor of YourFreeSurveys ($225.00 since 2008-03-01) because I am a moderator on the forum and compensated for that, but they do have daily surveys for $1.05 (OTX) and $0.90 (GiveUsYour2Cents), send occasional surveys that pay and hold frequent contests for $200-300, which I have won three times. They also offer PayPal, which means fast payments and they have Heath, who administers the YFS forum.
Next we will consider survey sites that pay in cash via checks. Hopefully, payment by checks will soon be a thing of the past, as checks can sometimes take as long as two months to arrive. Such is not the case with American Consumer Opinion panel ($77 since 2008-03-01), as their checks arrive promptly after they are requested and, as with Pinecone Research, they are a very legitimate, professionally run survey site that should be included in everyone’s survey portfolio. Although they may not earn you the most money, ACOP is a hassle-free survey site that you will never waste time haggling over payments with. The same cannot be said of BuzzBack ($27 since 2008-03-01), who have promised that improvements are on the way, but who have also made me wait over eight months for a $3 survey check. SurveySavvy is much better in the time they take to deliver checks; however, the problem with this site is waiting for completed surveys to clear, which usually takes six weeks. Fortunately, their customer service is excellent and most disputes are cleared up quickly. Netverdix ($64), Mindfield Online ($62), Socratic Forum ($60), Elite Opinion ($30 since 2009-03-11) are a few other sites that pay by check that you should add to your survey portfolio.
Finally, I just want to note that I also am a member of several sites that are hybrid survey/trial offer sites, which are also very good earners and pay in cash incentives. The most well-known of these sites are InboxDollars and SendEarnings, which are identical for all practical purposes. It’s easy to get caught up in trial offer sites and not cancel offers in a timely fashion so it’s probably best for most people to avoid these sites.

Wow! I’ve been reading all the information you have so far on survery sites that do and do not pay cash. I had no idea there were so many sites to choose from! I will definitely put any information I learn to good use including letting all of you know anything new that I think may be of interest. So nice to meet such an informative group!

Top 30 Paid Online Survey Sites
——————————————————————————–
I started keeping records of my online paid surveys January 31, 2008. I spend an average of two to three hours per day taking surveys. Here are the amounts that I have earned from my 30 best paid online survey sites. I have earned $2983.98 in 17 months from 30 survey sites, which is $175.53 per month. The average survey site earned $5.85 per month, but that does not take into account how recently I joined some sites. My actual receipts are $2793.01, which is $164.30 per month. I have added the dates that I joined each site as well as whether they have PayPal, Invokes or product trials. About 10% of my earnings are from product trials and Invoke Interactives. I do not keep track of prizes or free products, but I do include contest wins. I only add in points accumulated after they have been redeemed due to the difficulty of calculating point values. I just joined EliteOpinion, MakeExtraMoneyOnline, Paid Survey Reviews, Viewpoint and Surveyhead earlier this year.

I don’t see a review of SayNation – can you please review their site? I’ve been with them for a few weeks and am thinking of leaving. They repeatedly send surveys I would never qualify for (for teen boys and I don’t have kids, for example). Also it seems like it would take FOREVER to get the 29,000 points required for a PayPal payment ($25). Thank you!

Can anyone explain what invokes means? I am pretty new to surveys, but opinion outpost has been by far the best for me. I get daily surveys, but do not always qualify. Made close to $30 this month.

I did a ten day survey with Focus Forward. I finished the survey about 10 days ago, and just received a $200.00 check in the mail today. I couldn’t believe it!!!!!!!!!!

I need some help- first do you pay for the join to test product and is it woth it? How do you keep up with your companies nad what they owe is there a trick? Have you ever heard of roboform to do surveys? I always heard not to pay for surveys, but to pay for a trial period is that not a scam? Thank you Please help I do not know which ones to join you do 1 and so many come f rom nowhere

Hi- I had sent you the note above (wow) do I need to look at my spelling before I send it- anyway-does someone know the answers or how do I find out? Where do I find your response?

Never pay for anything, not lists of surveys, not trial periods or ‘offers’ or product tests. Just join the sites below along with YourFreeSurveys, which does have some offers along with daily surveys.
1. SurveySpot
-$39.50 on March 31, 2010
-$536.00
Joined: 2008-01-30
Now that SurveySpot has finished revising its new website and points policy, payments arrive almost instantaneously in your PayPal account. You will receive products for testing and also lucrative Invoke Interactive surveys with this site.
2. Global Test Market
-$52.00 on March 29, 2010
-$460.15
Joined: 2008-03-01
Although $50 is the highest cash-out threshold of any legitimate survey site, GTM is still one of the fastest places to earn that $50. They also offer lots of product tests.
3. Opinion Outpost
-$10.00 on February 26, 2010
-$391.80
Joined: 2008-02-04
No one ever complains about not receiving enough surveys or of not qualifying for enough surveys from Opinion Outpost. If they added PayPal this site would be perfect in every way.
4. Surveyhead
-$25.50 on February 7, 2010
-$261.80
Joined: 2009-02-05
As you can see, I have earned more from this site over the past year than I have earned from many sites over the past two years and I don’t even have time to do all of the $1 surveys that are offered.
5. Toluna
-$20.00 on March 19, 2010
-$247.02
Joined: 2008-02-11
The secret here is to log in every day and click on everything that offers between 15 and 120 points. These add up much quicker than doing the 900 point ($0.30) surveys that take 20-30 minutes and often lead to higher paying surveys.
6. Valued Opinions
-$20 Amazon gift card on March 22, 2010
-$241.30
Joined: 2008-02-18
If you are patient, then redeem your points for a pre-paid VISA debit card, which arrives by mail and can be used anywhere that a VISA debit card can be used; otherwise, Valued Opinions is the absolute best place to earn Amazon gift cards.
7. MyView
-$50 Virtual Prepaid Visa® Card on February 17, 2010
-$136.00
Joined: 2009-03-01
Some are not happy with the newly redesigned MyView website and points system, but I like it; although it does take quite awhile to earn enough points for the $50 pre-paid VISA card that can only be used online.
8. MySurvey.com
-$10.00 on February 13, 2010
-$130.00
Joined: 2008-02-02
Don’t let the total amount earned fool you. If I were to count all of the free products I have tested and been paid for using from MySurvey.com this total would be at least twice as high.
9. Pinecone Research
-$3.00 on March 8, 2010
-$129
Joined: 2008-04-03
Pinecone pays $3 for each and every survey and the surveys come slowly, but just like clockwork every month. They also offer product testing which would make the total even higher if I were to count these products at their retail value.
10. HCD
-$10.50 on March 4, 2010
-$124.05
Joined: 2008-02-27
I don’t earn as much with HCD as I do with other survey panels, but their surveys are brief and by far the most interesting. I always look forward to rating the Super Bowl commercials and also to the one question surveys on American Idol for $0.50 each week while the show is airing.

I am a person that really…really…REALLY needs money to help out with the financial situation at home, which, of course, many people do. I’m VERY nervous about giving up my personal information to certain sites, namely survey sites. Seems that most of the ones I’ve gone through these past six months have been bogus, full of crap, and untrustworthy while others aren’t what I had expected them to be as my e-mail account gets bombarded with countless spam and what not. I have signed up for a few such as Survey Spot, Inbox Dollars, NASP (I think that’s what it’s called, it’s been a while for that one), and a great deal of others that I don’t recall now, but each one either sends surveys every tenth blue moon or not at all or has types of surveys that’ll keep you going forever like those “Which [such and such] do you like, [this] or [that]?” where you –have– to sign up for something in the end just to get what you wanted. Surveys like that are those I try to completely avoid because I don’t have money for them and don’t want to end up getting into something I won’t be able to cancel when needed. My biggest questions are what sites would you recommend for me sign up and how do I enhance my chance of qualifying for surveys, since that does seem to be yet another big problem of mine?
While I wait for your answer, I’ll go back over the information here and take a few notes of things that have caught my eye and tempt me beyond belief. ^^ Love your info, btw, it does help me plenty and I can’t wait to hear your answer, should you give one.

Okay, so far, I signed up for the second and third sites Lee posted, and, I have to say, I like them so far. Mainly because they have two of the trusted logos on there that I look for on other sites. I’ve taken the basic surveys so far, so now I’m just waiting on them to send me new surveys.
Because the other sites Lee posted are either pending with payment or aren’t paying as much as I would like, I’ll be waiting to see updates and to see if he gets his money or not before I go signing up for some of the others.
The only one I’m not really signed up with now is Survey Spot. I didn’t really like the place and the surveys seemed like they were going nowhere for me, so I left them earlier in the year. ^^; I think that I’ll have some of my friends join some of these sites once I see if I’ll get paid or not. I’d rather not get their hopes up and have them join a place, only to be disappointed in the end.
