Global Test Market: Top 25 AND some random rambling
Random Rambles, Survey Site Reviews, Top Cash Paying Survey Sites January 25th, 2008Hey all, it’s still 25 degrees here in NC and I haven’t had a cigarette in 4 days (I quit a week ago, but cheated 2 days in…so give me credit for my honesty if nothing else).
Geez, I know I’m supposed to feel like a million dollars, smell great, not need Botox, have prettier lungs, train for marathons and all that, but all I want to do at the moment is strangle anyone that crosses my path. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Hopefully this too shall pass, I don’t think I’d much care for the Women’s Correctional Facility.
Thumbs up to Chantix though. I’ve been taking it for 2 weeks now, it won’t take away the urge to strangle people, but it does make smoking a lot less appealing. It blocks the rush, so there’s not much point in smoking one. Kinda like drinking a Coke without sugar or caffeine, why in the heck would anyone want to do that???

After a 45 minute survey, I just don’t feel like myself!
Anyway, enough about my misery and on to surveys. I joined Global Test Market last week, and I got my first survey invitation yesterday. It was a screener survey, very short (about a minute). It was about electronics, X-boxes etc., a category about which I know little and own none of, so it came as no big surprise that I didn’t qualify for the actual survey (which would have paid $5). But they gave me a few points for being electronically challenged anyway. I’ve heard and read great things about this company. They pay points for cash, no sweepstakes or games, and they are one of the most reliable. I did tons of searches on them (because I just joined and you would probably be thinking “what does she know yet”). They are consistently on the top 10 lists, and I can’t find any unresolved complaints on them either.
Now remember, Global Test Market is another one of those quality over quantity companies, so they won’t be one of the sites that sends you 5 “surveys”a day that waste your time. The surveys you get from them will be worth the wait and you’ll be getting money for your efforts.

I tried Global a month ago and I done 3 surveys so far. Not great but not bad either.

I have been paid from them 3 times with a check over $50.00 each time. They are a legitimate site that is honest and have some great surveys that are not too hard and fun to take. They even have some surveys for my kids to take and they love giving out their opinions. 100 percent overall great site.

I think I’m receiving fake emails from global test market. The fake ones are put in red by hotmail cautioning me about PHISHING and when I open them, they look exactly like the real ones. Do they do this to get my info?
April 10th, 2008 at 10:15 am
I’ve never gotten a fake email from Global Test Market. They usually come from banking institutions, Paypal etc. where your account info could result in theft of funds. I’ll look into it though!
May 22nd, 2008 at 6:47 pm
I don’t like that they use OTX ’cause I always end up getting this:
Come back soon
We’re sorry, but you seem to have reached the maximum number of surveys in our system for the time period. If you have joined several survey programs, you may have taken one of our surveys on another survey program.
We have many survey opportunities most of the time, so don’t hesitate to try again tomorrow for your next chance to give your opinion.
Note that we are temporarily unable to send you back to your survey program. Please accept our apologies.

NO! They are bogus! Global Test Market, is the VERY WORST survey company! I cannot imagine anyone being any worse or corrupt! I’m reporting them to the BBB as others have. But, GTM seems to always have an answer & somehow maintains a satisfactory record. More people need to make reports on them.
June 25th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
The thing w/ GTM is this, they send you surveys but the surveys always exclude you as not-qualifying. How can anyone ever reach the minimum 1000 points? They cannot. It is ridiculous. They dont want anyone redeeming points but they want to gather information so their sponsors will pay them for marketing info. What they do is fix the surveys to exclude everyone at some point after fact gathering enough information of value to give to their sponsors. This way, they get info from you then disqualify you but they can send info to their sponsors. They are corrupt and evil – DO NOT TAKE THEIR SURVEYS – you will end -up spending lots of time for nothing and not get paid.

I have been a member of GlobalTestMarket for two years, and have cashed out about 15 times. They are one of the only survey companies to give points when you screenout. Other survey companies give you an entry to a sweepstakes.
Also, the screener portion of the survey asks the generic demographic information. So if they want to hear from 25 year old guys that like soda then they ask a few questions to focus the members they want to complete the survey. The screener portion of the survey usually takes 20 seconds to complete.
They also offer online focus groups which pay huge amounts of points.

I have a question has anyone heard of Survey Advice Inc? Their address is 500 N. Michigan Ave Ste 301 Chicago, IL 60611 I got a check in the mail for almost $4K and they want me to deposit into my account and then withdrawl when the check is clear and then Western Union the money and I keep $400. I even spoke with someone but nothing makes sense when their address is in chicago in which I could not find and their number is from Canada and the stamp on the envelope was from Canada with no return address. I think this is a Fraud. Has anyone ever heard of this company. Oh and one more thing I cannot find their website. I did ask the lady how she got my name and address and she said that I register for online surveys. This seems to strange for me.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Since I started doing surveys I get those “checks” all the time! It’s a scam designed to get you to send your own money to someone before you find out the check won’t clear, it’s a fake. I shred them and forget it.

I first joined Global Test Market a year ago when I started join more survey panels. At that time, I had NO IDEA how many surveys panels were out there so I joined websites that were useless like Paid Expressions and Survey Panel Group. This are websites are not a legitimate market research panels. They bomdard your inbox with useless emails and offers. That is what happend to me when I first joined Global Test Market. I was getting about 20 to 30 emails for alot of things and I accidentally deleted their conformation email that activated your account. Since then I have NEVER been able to join their because it would say you already have an account with them.
Well in early May or June I decided to sent them an email so they can send me a confirmation email. The responded and told me to they were going to send me a link to open my account. I have NEVER received that will after contacting them two or more times. I will send them after email soon asking them to DELETE my account so I have re-register to their panel. Hopefully this will Work…. 4(2)

8. GlobalTestMarket $62.60 ($10 po) ($52.25 rec’d) ($10.35 req’d)
GTM is #8 on my highest paid survey sites and #2 on my points for cash sites after Opinion Outpost and you can earn a lot of money with them. The $10 pay out point is reasonable and they compensate you fairly for your time. I receive two to three surveys per week and qualify for most. Although they do not track your earnings online, they do offer you 5 Market Points for surveys that you do not qualify for.

I also received a letter from Survey Advice Inc. August 4, 2008. Enclosed was a check made out to me for $3,850.00. My pay would be $400.00 for going to Western Union to perform the survey, amount to be transfered (wired by Western Union to Duane Cheers, whoever he is from Atlanta, GA = $3,280.00), and Western Union service charge = $170.00. This seems like it is a scam! I can’t get my so-called agent to answer the phone because she is always unavailable at the moment.

I just received a check for $51.75 from GTM today! They have now moved up to #4 on my Highest Paid Surveys list and #2 on Points For Cash behind Opinion Outpost.
4. GlobalTestMarket $104.00 ($10 po) ($104.00 rec’d)

Wow Lee that is really good!! I wish I was able to join GTM but they still have not send me a activation link and I still have not emailed them to cancel my account. Well I guess this is one less panel that I have to record data for so in a way it’s goood thing. But I would not mind receiving a $50 check from them. 23(1)

im not a fan of them… i never seem 2 qualify for their surveys or i dont get credited when i do
October 28th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
My experience with GTM has been good. I have gotten 2 $50.00 checks. That has helped pay for cloths for my children.
November 3rd, 2008 at 2:04 pm
I have been using GTM for over a year, and have managed to earn $150 (£75 GBP). Compared to many other websites, this one sends you invitations regularly, with acceptable rewards and, generally, I have no problem with them. On the other hand however, when it comes to surveys being cut short at the end, resulting in no reward, I have had MANY experiences of this happening. This has occurred at least 15-20 times within the last 6 months, and most of which have taken 20-30 (sometimes even 45 or more!) minutes to complete. When I contact GTM about this, I either receive a generic response (the usual… “there was must a problem with your internet connection”, or ” you used the forward/back button on your browser, which resulted in the survey being interrupted” – none of which are true), or you receive no reply at all. They will completely ignore you almost every time you contact them, so you’re even lucky to get a response at all. They have cheated me out of at least $50 in the last 6 months alone which is completely unacceptable and fraudulent (they always ensure they have enough information to submit to the companies employing them, then terminate the survey claiming that there was a technical error, so they can get away with not paying you.) I am currently in need of as much extra cash as possible (as I’m sure many people taking part in surveys are), so I am reluctant to cancel my account, and it’s this very fact that GTM will play on. They must remember that without us they wouldn’t have a business at all, however whilst there are people willing to put up with it, they will carry on as they are.
November 3rd, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Great review Victoria and, while I agree with you on some of the technical issues, I have not had quite as much trouble with GTM and they have replied to my questions, but never reimbursed me for anything regardless of the error, unlike SurveySpot, which has been very quick to respond and very generous in correcting their mistakes. GTM is still in the Top Five on my list.

i havent even cashed out once from them
i never get credited correctly!

i just finished a survey from them and instead of being told that i would be credited i got this:
This study has been closed. Thank you for your visit. We look forward to your future participation.

lee. how can u say that the po is $10? isnt it $50? cuz u re always confused u re confusin me!!!
November 26th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Once you reach 1,000 MarketPoints, you can redeem your balance for $50 U.S. dollars.
November 27th, 2008 at 1:16 am
Their points are worth so much more than other sites I got confused. Sowwy! I am kind of out of it on surveys now after 10 months. I have my little routine down where I spend two hours in the afternoon and two hours at night taking surveys and I no longer research or go to other forums much. I faithfully update my paid survey list on the forum and place ALL of the checks and PayPal payments down on my credit card. I buy DVDs and other stuff with the Amazon gift certificates.
I just put $40 worth of Amazon gcs down on a brand new Wii that cost $225 because it had a cosmetic blemish, so I guess I will be ‘gaming’ somewhat after Christmas. I am only doing it as a form of exercise though.
November 27th, 2008 at 9:28 am
it’s ok… enjoy ur future wii!!!

I love GlobalTestMarket surveys and here is why:
6. GlobalTestMarket $52.25 ($50 po) ($52.25 rec’d)
GTM is definitely one of the best points sites out there, after Opinion Outpost, and you can earn a lot of money with them. The $10 payout point is reasonable and they compensate you fairly for your time. I receive almost daily surveys and qualify for most. They are #6 on my Surveys That Pay! list.

LEE, AGAIN… they don’t have a $10 payout!!! is a $50 payout… plz check ur comments before posting cuz it confused ppl cuz u have a lot of experience and they believe u!

I love being a member the best thing is you really get paid
January 12th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
i was a member of GTM for a while. I earned about $100. My son had an account and earned $50. i am in process of emailing back and forth due to them cancelling account. trying to find out what is going on (they started sending surveys again, but cannot log into account)
January 16th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
I am not a fan of GTM. They may pay out, and I have seen many sites where people say they have gotten payouts, so I really don’t think they are scammers. However, I really did not qualify for a lot of the surveys (not their fault, I simply don’t fit the demographics), but when it comes to customer support, they simply SUCK.
I have unsubscribed through their site, and am told that I have gotten unsubscribed. I have emailed and used their “contact us” page to lodge a complaint, but despite both auto-replies and apparently legitimate live replies, they never stop sending me emails.
It is probably a technical glitch. I work for a software company, and I can understand that things fail. But they simply do not respond in any manner that makes me think they paying attention; that anything that does not work in an automated fashion is simply going to be ignored.
Until they publish a phone number that is answered by a live human, I will not deal with them, and will continue to report them.

Here are the dates that I have received checks from Global Test Market so far.
2008-06-02 $10.45
2008-06-27 $52.25
2008-10-23 $51.75
2009-01-15 $50.00
Total: $164.45

GTM is legit but it is true that it is not easy qualifying for their surveys. Im currently waiting for my 3rd $50 check from them to come in soon, and im very happy about that.
March 26th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
I did all the surveys and received no market points. its definately a scam. I thought i could make money but whatever
