Datatelligence: Improved survey site?
Survey Site Reviews December 8th, 2009I reviewed Datatelligence in Feb. of 2008 and didn’t find it to be a survey site that I would recommend. I stuck with it, though, and am happy to report that there have been improvements made. Don’t get your hopes up though, even with a few improvements it’s not in the top tier of surveys sites for me.
I’ve been a member for close to 2 years, and it has taken me that long to reach the 1000 points to redeem my points. Points are redeemed at Perks.com where there is a long list of merchandise from which to choose. I always opt for a gift card because it makes my head spin trying to find prize values for items that I generally don’t need. It takes 1293 points for a $10 Amazon gift card which I have in hand. I still feel like that is a long time to wait for $10, but I have gotten several surveys which pay directly with a gift card, one for $5 and one for $15 which makes up for the oh so slow trek to point redemption.
surveys come in for me at a rate of a couple every few months and range from 100 to 500 points. I’ve found the surveys take from 10 minutes to 30 minutes for the higher paying ones. You’ll know the point value upfront or be advised that a particular survey will pay an Amazon gift code directly.
You won’t get rich from Datatelligence but it is a legitimate survey site. And if you are a member of enough legitimate sites, it will add up in the end. Let us know what you think of Datatelligence!

With Datatelligence you might need to join every “panel” they have and keep your info updated. I get two to three surveys from them per week and am currently doing a product trial for $10. I’ve qualified for one survey so far (300 points) but haven’t been keeping up on surveys lately so that’s not as bad as it sounds.

Funny Datatelligence was your topic today. I’ve been working on a product test for the last month and did the final follow up this morning for $25.00. But as far as other surveys go I haven’t had one in a long time, but do have 780 points. I have only cashed in once before I beleive. But it’s worth staying with when you also belong to other sites.

Datatelligence is one of the truly legit places, although, I wish they would offer more surveys. It’s not their fault, though. Thanks for reminding me about them. When I worked with them, they did tend to send more than one every few months, though.

THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THEM WHEN IT COMES TO CASHING OUT IS THAT IT TAKES MORE POINTS EARNED FOR WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO REDEEM FOR, COMPARED TO SOME OTHER SURVEY SITES (NAMING ONE IS “LIGHTSPEED”).

I will never have enough points to cash out , but they do send me products every now and then to evaluate for cash. That’s just fine with me.

I just recently joined this website after reading the review on here. I haven’t received any surveys from them yet though.

Datatelligence…how do i hate thee?…let me count the ways.
They have this sneaky practice of changing the incentive AFTER you take a survey with them.
I took a survey in November, and the survey invite says that it was for a $10.00 Amazon.com gift code, and that it would be sent within 2 weeks of taking the survey. It also said that if after taking the survey, you haven’t received the survey incentive, or heard from them after 2 weeks, that you should let them know.
So, i let them know this week that it’s been 5 weeks since this survey, and i haven’t received my $10.00 Amazon.com gift code. They sent me back a message saying that the survey incentive was changed to something else (what, i have no idea as of yet, all they said in the email message back to me is that it would be coming from some other “vendor”), and that SUPPOSEDLY the survey invite said it would take 6 to 8 weeks from the time the survey completed “in-field” before the incentive (whatever that turns out to be), would be sent.
They told me to refer to the original email invite for the survey to reference these things, and even sent me a supposed copy of the supposed original email invite to supposedly verify that what they were telling me was true…only one problem…the original email invite i have says exactly what i said earlier ($10.00 Amazon.com, and in 2 weeks, or let them know).
This is not the first time this issue has raised it’s ugly head with Datatelligence, but for me, it is the last, FOR CERTAIN.
The survey i did before this one was a multi-day survey, for a $25.00 Amazon.com gift code, and it took WAY longer to receive the incentive than what was said in the original email. In that instance, i even received MANY emails form them, telling me that they were having a “difficult time with their vendors”, but to be assured that the incentive would be received in 2 weeks…and then another email that would push the date forward 2 weeks…and then another…and so on.
What i ended up receiving (after MANY delays), from them was a gift certificate for…get this…AMWAY!…for j-u-n-k JUNK…that NO ONE would want.
So, fool me once, shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me.
I am SO done with Data-un-intelligence…
All they are is Scammers!!!
P.S. When i called them to ask what in the world was going on, they gave me over to some fellow who asked me what the problem was, and when i told him, the only response he gave me was a question…”How many survey companies are you signed up with?”…as if this question had anything at all to do with the issue at hand.
Can you say “deflection?”
Nothing but a bunch of shysters, and the fact that i haven’t ever read anything good about this “survey company”, and that i have never read about anyone actually cashing out with them, tells me that they are NOT a legitimate survey company.
My advice…STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM DATA-UN-INTELLIGENCE.
The saddest thing about all of this, is after doing it to me…TWICE…i’m the one who feels unintelligent.

I also took the Datatelligence survey on chocolate for a $10 Amazon gift certificate and they changed it to a $30 Rewards Point gift certificate and the only thing I could find that was interesting was an ipod clock radio that was the cheapest piece of junk one might imagine. Here is what Survey Police has to say about them: http://www.surveypolice.com/datatelligence

I didn’t like the rewards they offered either. If I wanted to buy junk, I would go to the dollar store and get something in a lot less time than taking all the surveys.

They scammed me on the $20 Chocolate survey too. The invitation said you would receive $20 for taking the full survey. Then months after completing it they pulled a bait and switch and pretended they were doing me a favor by giving me a $30 “gift code” which IMO was for products that were a bunch of worthless crap. I have not done a single survey since nor will I. After the fact they made the statement below, but it was too little too late. They had already screwed me by not being up front about the reward in the first place.
“Datatelligence wants its panelists knowing exactly what they are getting for their time, so they can decide if it’s worth their time”

I received a $10 Amazon gift card from Datatelligence on February 23. They are far from the best of my survey sites.
