A Big Thank You AND A $200 April/May Contest!
Random Rambles, Survey Ramblings April 17th, 2008First of all, let me say that I appreciate all of the new subscribers to our blog. Since installing the new email subscription option and moving the RSS feed to the top of the page, we have gotten 30o new subscribers in a month! Our readers are commenting more than ever which makes this blog more interactive AND more informative for everyone. So many of you have let your opinions be known, and that makes the content here invaluable to those of us who are trying to find their way through the sometimes frustrating world of online paid surveys.
I think you’ll find that my reviews of surveys and offer sites are more honest (sometimes brutally so
) than you’ll find anywhere else. But it’s only my opinion, so the more we hear from the more seasoned survey takers the more we have to gain in terms of knowledge. And input from the newbies can help me to provide the information that you are looking for to make this blog even better. For those of you who are already subscribers, just click on the title of blog post in your email which will take you to the blog, where you’ll just click on “comments” at the top of the post to read and add your own.
So for a little fun and reward for participating, from now until May 15th we are going to have a contest, and the winner will get $200 added to their Yourfreesurveys account (with immediate payment to your Paypal account) Here’s how it will work:
1) For every 3 comments that you post during that time, you’ll get one entry into the contest.
2) For any of you who have your own blog, you’ll get 2 entries for blogging about this blog or the contest ( send me your blog url after you post it)
3) And finally, everyone who subscribes by email or RSS will get 1 entry (send me an email to let me know that you have subscribed and to which feed reader)
Again, thanks to everyone who has subscribed and participated! And good luck with the contest!

April 17th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
WOW! Are you serious? Thats Great!!! First thing I going to do tomorrow is visit my blog that I have used in a long time and post an entry about the Paid online survey sites like yourfreesurvey. Just a couple of questions about the contest. What email to I send my blog url? and Are there any other rules or regulations to this contest that I should know about?
I mainly want to know your email so I can send you my blog url.
Damn this blog just got a lot better!!!!!
April 17th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Thanks Eddie, good question. You can email me at mark@yourfreesurveys.com. Blog about this blog and what you think about it, or about the contest itself. No rules except maybe a limit of 5 comments a day. And the comments for the contest should be adding to the discussion at hand, not just “great post” or something. Glad you like the idea! I think it will be fun. Heath

hello,
I love the information you share.
How can I subscribe to received updates via email on your latest posts?
I tried several times (right hand side) subscribe) i a stuck at the security image.
What is wrong?
April 18th, 2008 at 2:16 am
Hi, I read your posts about surveyspot.
That is interesting because i just cancelled my account a week ago.
i only receive offers that will reward me with a chance to win, I was looking for ral surveys taht offer me money. But so far I only receive survey that offers $1.00 to $2.00.
April 18th, 2008 at 7:31 am
Hi ch88ss, I put your email in for you. You should be getting an activation email soon.
April 18th, 2008 at 11:38 am
For ch88ss:

I used to be very dissapointed at SURVEYSPOT because it would only offer me surveys for ‘a chance to win’. At the begining, I used to do them to see if later on I would get better ones… and it happened
Now, I receive surveys from $1-$3… and for the higher surveys, I’m still having trouble qualifying.
I do still receive the no cash surveys, but I ERASE them form my email
HANG IN THERE!!!
April 18th, 2008 at 11:45 am
For Heath:
I received an invitation to join usasurveypanel.com from ‘Global Survey Group’ (which by the way, can you review it please?!).
Before recieving this email, I had alreay being there and did not join because I didn’t like the FAQ section. It had some mispelling errors like ‘cheque’ instead of ‘check’. and THEY DON’T PAY YOU but the companies you do the surveys for, so you gotta keep lots of records… and that look shady to me:
“How will I get paid and by whom?
You will get paid by the company for whom you are completing the survey (our clients). The method of payment may vary among companies but is usually done by cheque or through Paypal. Please read the information that each company will provide you with carefully in order to find out all the details.”
Can you review that site also… thanks

Has this every happened to any of you guys:
Today I was invited to take a $3 movie survey from Clear Voice Surveys. The movie was The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. This survey was easy to qualify and easy to complete but it require several fill in the blank questions. I was shown a movie commerical then asked several questions about it. I think the survey took 20 minutes to complete.
About three hours after I finished this Clear Voice survey, I was sent a $5 movie survey invite from Survey Spot. When I clicked on the email link, I asked for a code and password. At that time I was confused because they didn’t give me that information. So I send them a message about this problem. Several hours later I got another email from them with a link that works. After I entered the survey, I quickly realized that this was the same email I got from Clear Voice. It was about the same movie and had the same questions. I also qualify for this survey. So I made the promised five dollars.
This sometimes haapeneds to me more than once. Taking the same survey with different survey panels
April 22nd, 2008 at 5:35 pm
I really like My Free Surveys. I’ve just signed-up and
already have accumulated over $10. I complained to the
support@ipsos-i-say about only rewarding LONG surveys with
“chances to” win. After doing quite a few, I quit in the
middle of the last one and jotted off my complaint. They
responded by saying that they are now crediting with points, that will turn into cash. They stated that they had quite a few complaints. At least they “heard” and
responded with a change in mind…
I enjoy your blog. I, too had difficulty signing-up
for the email (off to the right.
Thanks for all your efforts, Mark.
April 22nd, 2008 at 5:49 pm
Thanks Virginia! I put in your email address and it seemed to go through. Just look for the email from feedburner so you can activate it to start getting the blog posts by email. I’m glad you got a response from Ipsos, it makes a lot of difference when you feel like someone is listening to your concerns.

April 23rd, 2008 at 7:45 am
On global test market, if you earn a thousand points. You’ll get a check for $51.00 dollars. I’ve done it more than once.
April 23rd, 2008 at 1:53 pm
Hey I never knew that I could be entered to win a cash price just by entering a blog.
Thanks for the opportunity!!!!!
April 23rd, 2008 at 2:27 pm
Hi
This is my 1 time that i do surveys. Can you explain me how this 200$ surveys work and what should i do?
April 23rd, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Hi Alan. It’s not a $200 survey but a $200 blog contest. For every 3 comments you post on this blog, you get one entry into the drawing for $200 on May 15th. You also get an entry if you blog about this blog or subscribe to this blog by email or RSS. If you’ve never taken surveys, you’ll get lots of information here!
April 24th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
Sign me up buddy! I just left you a whale of information above that should cover this gratuitous comment…keep up the good work!
April 25th, 2008 at 12:40 am
Good Buddy, Good contest ahead
April 29th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Just took another YourFreeSurveys.com survey! Is that affiliated with this blog? I am assuming so.
April 29th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
This is kinda cool. I’ve never done an RSS feed and I’m not really sure what its all about but I’l llearn. Thanks!!
April 29th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
what do we have to do to win the 200.00 dollars?
April 29th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
FOR MICHELLE & OTHERS:
IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE POST AND THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS, YOU WON’T FIND YOURSELVES ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Michelle, I probably need to explain the subscription process. You’ll get an entry into the drawing if you put your email address in the box to the right where it says “get new post delivered by email. subscribe”. That way you’ll get each new post by email. Be sure to activate your account by clicking on the link from feedburner. You won’t get the emails or be entered into the contest until you do that. You’ll also get an entry for every 3 comments you make here. The drawing will be May 15th and I’ll announce it in the blog. Thanks and welcome to the blog! Heath
April 29th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
[...] Don’t forget, the blog contest ends May 15th. You still have time to earn multiple entries by either subscribing to this blog by email, by RSS feed, by blogging this blog or leaving 3 comments. All this and you’ll stay up to date on all of the survey news! For more information, click here. [...]
April 29th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Well I will start by explaining what a RSS is to Mary. An RSS stands a Real Simple Syndication and it is a XML code the lets you get news and other things that interest you delivered to your My Yahoo page or other page that appects a RSS feed. Making a RSS is a really complicated process that requires advanced computer skills. But subcribing from an RSS Feed is so easy that anyone can do. All you have to do is click a button.
Well I have one more questions that might keep the comments coming. Here it is:
1) What is your favorite subject to complete a survey about? (for example: food, clothing, travel, sports, etc.)
2) How long do you think you will taking online surveys?
3) Do you think you will win the $200 blog contest?
Of couse, your free to answer these questions, but I will only help you win that contest.
April 29th, 2008 at 5:23 pm

April 29th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
IMPORTANT
-MUST READ-
I have a good survey site: opinionplace.com
It lets you take a survey every 7 days.
I always choose PAYPAL CREDITS… $3.25 for every survey… and they post it in your account fast.
The other reward choices are:
-AA miles
-AOL credits
-Sweepstakes (FOR THOSE WHO LIKE THEM… I CERTAINLY DO NOT)
Just thought you all should know about this one!!!
April 29th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
Well I went to the their home page opinionplace.com. The website did look like a legitimate survey site. So I click on the “Take a Online survey Now” button. Then I answer all the questions, but after I finished with the questions this message appeared:
“We’re sorry we were unable to find a survey today that matched your qualifications. As A thank you for participating in Opinion Place, you’ve been entered for a chance to win $1000 in our monthly drawing. Please keep in mind that we are putting new surveys up every day, and you may try to qualify after May 3.”
After that it asked you if you want to receive email survey invites. Of course I click yes.
question mop: have you earned money for them? yes right because I don’t see why you would recommend this site if you didn’t.
April 30th, 2008 at 12:16 am
Opinion Place is a good site managed by AOL. Rewards are credited to your PayPal account or you can accept various other rewards such as AOL® Credits, AAdvantage® Miles or Sweepstakes entries. You can take a survey every 14 days. Unfortunately I cannot accept payments to a Paypal account due to a problem I had with eBay/Paypal several years ago that will never be resolved, so I will not be joining this one.
April 30th, 2008 at 12:40 am
Wow this is getting really annoying. I posted two comments and both said “You comment is awaiting moderation.” Whats up with that? It should say that because I’m regular in this blog.
Anywho, thanks for the recommendation maplaver. But I don’t think I will make any money with them. more on tomorrow
April 30th, 2008 at 9:03 am
Sorry Eddie. Any time there is a link in a comment, it will automatically hold it for moderation. It can’t recognize what kind of link it is, in your case it was our link. But you wouldn’t believe the spam comments I get that will take you to all sorts of strange and inappropriate places, so it’s a good thing
April 30th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Hi! I’m new to these paid survey sites, and I have no idea what blogging means. If I did this correctly, thanks for my entry into your contest. I really like doing these surveys. Have a great day. God Bless!
April 30th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Hi Rachel! You did it correctly, I saw that you had subscribed. But it hasn’t been verified yet, so you’ll need to look for an email from feedburner and click on the link provided in order to activate it. Thanks!
April 30th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
FOR EDDIE,
I have been paid 3 times $3.25 from them.
The 1st one in march 31.
Sometimes I get the same message that u got, but then they let me come back before 7 days… they make it like in 3 days from the day I tried.
The surveys that they email u if u put ur address are SPECIAL SURVEY INVITES. What they pay you varies. I never qualify for those
If u don’t like it that’s ok… maybe others will… is EASY $ every time they find a survey 4 u
April 30th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
post # 2…i’m beginning to think i will never qualify for a survey…just didn’t take 2 but at least i’m getting a chance i guess…anyone know the survey site i mentioned in my first post???ps sorry admin if your’e not a miss and i too reside in nc for the time being, charlotte area, thanx rick.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Hi Rick! Yup I’m a gal, and you are right down the road from me, I’m in Salisbury. I’ve never heard of a website that pays for cut and paste of confirmation emails. Anybody out there heard of this one??? I’ve been doing a little research on it for you, but no luck just yet. I’ll keep looking though. Heath
April 30th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
hey heath…they will prolly contact me again to cut and paste for the $10.00, i’ll let all know, it’s a pain but i have a file of about 50 confirms all ready to go…i just want to see something for my efforts…oops forgot this is post #3 so my $200 is in the bank, right???cheers and thanx rick.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
ps…i quit smoking on feb 15…hope you are still hanging in there…the gum helped me ALOT…peace rick.
April 30th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Well its not that I don’t like Opinion Place, its just that it a new survey site that I have never heard of before and don’t what to expect from them. I did enter my one of my emails in the box to get survey invites. If they email me then I will participate in their surveys, and I might even visit their website again and try to qualify for one of their paided survey.
May 1st, 2008 at 5:28 pm
yep the site is called thesurveypro and it is a total rip…they make it so you can paste about 18 sites and the other 2 on their list are imposible to get so don’t fall for this one i just wasted 1.5 hrs…oh well live and learn and i still have alot to learn.
May 1st, 2008 at 5:43 pm
I have surveypro.com in my list of NOT TO JOIN SURVEY SITES.
It has 6 complaints in ripoffreport.com and several complaints of SPAM in McAfeeSiteAdvisor.
Next time tell us the name of the site to give u advise BEFORE u join them!!!
May 1st, 2008 at 6:48 pm
Ditto on SurveyPro. You sign up for legitmate survey companies through them and do not earn anything directly from them.
May 1st, 2008 at 9:13 pm
i wish i would have known about you guys before i signed up for half the sh*%$@** i signed up for…i’m thinking i will need to open a new email account once i sort out all the good from the bad…the spam is beginning to get outa hand…the better sites are begining to show themselves…this site has been a BIG help, koodos to heath whom makes this site enjoyable to read and very informative for rookies like me…mapl, where did you get your do not join list from???…is there a must join list out there???i’m tryin to research as much as possible but sortin thru the bull sh@#&*% takes time…peace rick.
May 1st, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Rick, I’m actually working on a “do join” and “do not join” list but it will be a week or so before I get it up as a blog post. Still tweaking it
You’ll definately need to open a new account. I’m on #2 but never have signed up for anything with my personal email account. That’s a nightmare waiting to happen. Thanks for the compliment, I’m glad you found us.
May 1st, 2008 at 10:55 pm
Well Rick I bet you are really pissed at that Survey Pro site. I don’t blame you for that because I would be enraged if I was fooled like that. But since that has never happend to me I don’t know how annoyed you really are.
Anyway, I’m going to give you a short “must join list” of paided survey sites to help you out.
1) Pinecone Research: This survey panel is in it’s own league. It has so many positive attributes that make it one of the best survey sites out there. I had a good experience taking their online surveys. The more surveys you take from them the more survey invites you will get in your inbox. NOTE: I don’t know how to join this site because there is not link to register with them in their home page. I joined them by clicking on one of InboxDollars email links.
2) Survey Spot: This sites give you a good have to make a lot of money with them. It might start out slow but as you take more surveys regardless if they are paided or not, then you will most likely get more invites, this may or may not be true for every one.
3)Opinion Outpost: I might not have received a survey invite from them in a while, but thats not going to stop me from recommending this site. Everyone has different experiences with survey panels and sometimes there are up and downs in the big online survey world. If you joind this site them you will must likely have a big up.
4) Survey Savvy: I have only made $2 from them but their panel has a unique refer system that can benefit you if you have a lot of friends that are interested in online survey. The more friends you refer to their panel, the more more you can make. Below are the two things that make Survey Savvy a one of a kind survey panel.
A)You get incentives when the friends and family you have referred complete surveys.
B)You get incentives when referrals of the friends and family you have referred complete surveys.
5) That the next one is kind of hard to decide which survey panel stands out above the rest. But the following panels are really legitimate paided survey panels: MySurvey (NFO), American Consumer Opinion (be patient for this one), and Your2Cents. That is just a couple of panels that are worthwhile.
Now to the “do not join” list, well I don’t reall now all the scams out there, but I bet are a plenty of people out there that want to manipulate market research for the own gain. But I personlly do not like offer sites like Fusion Cash, Cash4offers, and cashcow4me. I would recommend you avoid those kind of sites.
May 2nd, 2008 at 9:45 am
thanx eddie, i really appreciate your input…i think i’m a member of all you listed, even do not join sites unfortunatley…i just created a new personal email so i now have to explain to all my friends and family why???…i think i will tell them i accidentally opened a porn email and had to commit cyber suicide with that account…i don’t feel like explaining my new hobbie to all my judgemental but well meaning loved ones…
keep up the good fight admin…rick.
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Your welcome Rick! Hopefully you will never fall for any other scams and I recommend you only give your new email address to survey panels you trust or to panel that are reviewed in this blog as legitimate online paided survey sits.
I have a question about the $200 blog contest which will be ending soon. How will the winner be chosen? and How many winner will there be?
May 2nd, 2008 at 1:35 pm
[...] NPD Online Research (NPDOR): Online Survey Site Review Advice, Survey Site Reviews May 2nd, 2008 What I know for sure about NPDOR is that you either love it, or you hate it. I’ll have to go with the latter, but that’s only because I don’t have the patience needed to participate. But there are scores of folks out there who say that this is one of the better survey sites in terms of customer service, payout, number of surveys sent, etc. see details [...]
May 3rd, 2008 at 5:46 pm
For this comment I will answer the questions in the comment I posted on April 29. Feel free to do the same.
1) What is your favorite subject to complete a survey about? That would be surveys about entertainment like movies, music, TV shows and consumer electronics.
2) How long do you think you will taking online surveys? I don’t know the answer to this one. I guess will stop whenever they stop offering paided online survey, only time will tell.
3)Do you think you will win the $200 blog contest? Yeah I think I have a good chance of winning this contest. I’m not sure how many entries I have but I hope it’s enough for me to win this contest.
May 4th, 2008 at 12:13 am
1) What is your favorite subject to complete a survey about? (for example: food, clothing, travel, sports, etc.)
I like surveys on cars, TV commercicals, brand names, music and political questions from HCD. I do not like financial, insurance or cosmetics surveys.
2) How long do you think you will taking online surveys?
Until I get a real job!
3) Do you think you will win the $200 blog contest?
No, I think Eddie will win because he always has the last word…
May 5th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
1) What is your favorite subject to complete a survey about? (for example: food, clothing, travel, sports, etc.)
i don’t have one yet since i don’t seem to be qualified enough to have an opinion???
2) How long do you think you will taking online surveys?
long enough to make back the 34.95 i spent on a list that i could have gotten for free from here!!!
3) Do you think you will win the $200 blog contest?
yep, right after i instantly win the surveyspot scratch off or slot machine game…
cheers all, rick.

Of course we wouldn’t! What’s your address again…I wanted to send you flowers and candy for Mother’s Day. *whistling innocently*
May 5th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
On May 2 I posted a comment (#46) that had a question on it. I am still interested on the answer for that question. Here is question again: How will the winner be chosen? and How many winner will there be? Thanks
I really enjoy this blog and reading about others positive and sometimes negative experiences with online surveys. I’m really excited about the blog contest and I’m looking forward to finding out the answer to my question.
May 5th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
Sorry Eddie. You guys are doing such a great job of commenting that I’m missing some! It’s set up for 1 person to win $200. I have downloaded a list ranomizer to pick the winner. As we get closer, I’ll let you know how many entries the most active commenters have.

Rick, don’t forget that u have to do 3 POSTS in order to get 1 ENTRY in the $200 contest.
Give me a list of all the sites u have in roboform after printing it and I’ll help u… I’m sure the others will help too!!!
DON’T GIVE UP
May 6th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Rick I’m wondering which Roboform program you are using. There are two different kinds of Roboform, one is for your desktop and is installed in the hard drive. The other one is called RoboForm2Go and it’s for your U3 Flash Drive. Personally this is my favorite out of the two because you can carry your password information where ever you want without worring if your info is left on the host computer. U3 can be used to install any program for Open office to Roboform. When I want use Roboform, I have to enter a password to be able to start a program, then enter other password to be able to access my Roboform2Go files. This guarantees you are the only one using Roboform.
And if you are having problems using Roboform then the following link will probably help you out:

maplaver Says: Give me a list of all the sites u have in roboform after printing it and I’ll help u… I’m sure the others will help too!!!
wow thanx map and eddie…trust me you don’t want to see the list nor do i want to publish it, “embarassed”…i just returned from a long bike ride so i have a wee bit of a clearer mind, wee bit…i’ve decided to start a “forsure” list beginning with surveyspree, thanx admin,…the usuals are also on the list which i will post shortly…problem is this computer has something wrong with it so as some of them, (for eg. greenfield), i get a never ending hourglass and others i get just blank pages, aaarrrggg….bless greenfield though they are dilligent about keeping me and trying to solve my problem, however it is this millenium opperating system on this compaq computer that is sh@#$%^&#…not thier fault…thanx to yall and our gal heath we will surely prevail…i know patience is a recurring theme in heaths’ prose, however i find it to be somewhat ellusive and extremely evasive at times…oh well, thanx again and cheers rick.

i just realized my household dynamics are going to change with the move also so i need to change all my profiles as well, yikkess!!!…so i will need to begin fresh, one by one thus making the case for only keeping the worthy survey sites even more critical…i will compile a “howbouthis” list and post it as soon as i can, kind busy with the move and all…until then the good news is i just won 5 entries in the surveyspot sweepstakes slot game!!!…cheers rick.
May 6th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
You ARE right again Eddie! Posting war!
May 6th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
I had the problem with the ever ending hourglass back in last December. I sent GFO a message about this problems. They responded my telling me that I might have sypware or adware in my computer. I uninstalled a program called Permission Research for my computer and then I was able to access their Surveys. That program keeps track of your internet habits for the purpose of market research but I had to get rid of it so I can earn money from GFO.
I have a Compaq Presario computer with Windows XP what is not as fast that I would want it to be but it get the job done. The Spyware Doctor, Spyware Blaster, and AVG Anti-Virus keep my computer running at a respectable level and it makes taking surveys easy.

Hold on, don’t start the war just yet! Eddie asked me if there were any other rules and here’s my comment #2:
Thanks Eddie, good question. You can email me at mark@yourfreesurveys.com. Blog about this blog and what you think about it, or about the contest itself. No rules except maybe a limit of 5 comments a day. And the comments for the contest should be adding to the discussion at hand, not just “great post” or something. Glad you like the idea! I think it will be fun. Heath
Don’t let that keep you from posting though
May 6th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
I just posted a link on my MySpace about Your Free Surveys and emailed Heath. here is the link for others that want to see my blog:
http://www.myspace.com/lapisconnection
May 6th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
HEATH:
Shouldn’t it be a LIMIT OF 6?
’cause every 3 COMMENTS give us ONE entry.
So if we post 6, we get 2 entries
But if we post 5, we only get 1
May 6th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Good point, Maplaver. 6 is officially the new number.
May 6th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Well I think the rules to this contest should have been made more clear when this blog post was first posted. In the second comment in here it says “No rules except maybe a limit of 5 comments a day”. I will place a lot of emphasis on “maybe” because factmonster.com defines “maybe” as “a possibility or uncertainty.” Again I will place a lot of emphasis on uncertaintly meaning I did not know if that rule would be enforced in this contest.
Anyway, this $200 contest is a good addition to this blog, but it should have been better organized with a concrete set of Official Rules. If there are any other rules that have been failed to mention, then now is the perfect time to speak up.
May 6th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
P.S. MySpace and similar sites like that make me want to VOMIT.
May 6th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
Eddie, I didn’t fail to mention it, I added it in response to your question, just so it wouldn’t get out of hand. But I see your point about the “maybe”, and since this only concerns you, Lee, and Maplaver, I’m good with counting the comments over and above the 6 up to this point. But the 6 holds from this point forward until the end of the contest.
May 6th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
nice… thanx
May 6th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Starting now!
May 7th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Well admin I didn’t mean to you a failed to mention, what I meant to say is “If there are any other rules that have not been clearly explained”. I guess I have to a little bit of adrenaline when I was typing that comment. And for me “Adrenaline keeps in the game.” So thanks for including all the old comments in the contest, that will surely help my odds of winning the $200.
But since now six comments equals two entries in the contest, then you might as well add 18 entries (nine days left until the 15)for me, lee, and maplaver because I know they want to win that cash as much as I do.
Anyway “It’s time to play the Game…”
May 7th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Heck yeah Eddie!!! I’d luv 2 win those $200 ’cause my online income is my ONLY income since jan of this year. And is not enough 2 pay my bills
By the way, I was wonderin’ how old r u?

May 7th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
question for you guys…if you were on a desert island and could only take 5 survey sites with you, which 5 would you take???…cheers rick.
May 7th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
Thats a good question. Well my favorite survey sites are:
1) Survey Spot= $100 +
2)Pinecone Research= $40+
3)Lightspeed Consumer Panel= more than 5000 points ($40)
4) MySurvey.com= more than 4000 points ($40)
5)surveys.com aks GfK= $55 (two surveys!!!!) 1(5)
May 7th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
If I were on a desert island and really wanted to clean up on five surveys…I would just take Eddie and his wireless laptop.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Huh? Well first of all first of all don’t have wireless laptop but I do WISH I had one. But I wish I would win a laptop from a NPDOR survey or probably buy one with the money I wish I could win from the $1000 HomeScan sweepstakes.
And why would you take me when you can take the five survey sites I listed above. They are all good and can be a site where someone can make a lot of money. 1(7+)
May 8th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Because I already have those…
My Top Five:
1) Survey Spot $71
2) Inbox Dollars $38.32
3) Opinion Outpost $32.40
4) Greenfield Online $21.49 (Because it would get very boring without a lot of surveys to fill out)
5) Send Earnings $17.63
Keep in mind I just started doing surveys on Feb. 1, 2008 and some of these I did not join until March or April.
Honorable Mention:
Your Free Surveys $18.00
Your2Cents $14.00
HCD $14.60
PineCone $6
ACOP $6
May 8th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
thanx you guys and/or gals???…your expert input is much appreciated!!!…here are another couple a Qs,
1.) do you also participate in paid e-mails?
2.) do you ever join offers just to get the $ and then
cancel them after you get credited?
peace rick.
.
May 8th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
one other Q…are thier any sites you automatically go to every day or so to check for surveys?…in other words, sites where you don’t wait for them to send you an invitation via email?…thanx rick.
May 8th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
I tried Cash4Dollars and they terminated my membership for ‘multiple completion of offers’ after I had $15 towards their (then) $50 (and now $25) cash out point. The only pure no survey trial offer company I am still with is TikTikCash because I have $43 towrds their ridiculously high $100 cash out point. I would advise you to NOT get involved with Paid To Try companies, because:
1) it’s difficult to keep track of the offers and cancel them in a timely fashion after 7, 14 or 30-day trial periods;
2) their cash out points are too high the first time, but they are impossible to reach the second time because you have done all of the good offers that you may be interested in and cannot duplicate them;
3) Paid To Try companies are the most notorious for spamming your email account and the companies you sign up for will call you relentlessly to get you to sign up for their offers even if you show no interest
Paid To try or Trial offer companies are just not worth it. The only exceptions I make are for InBox Dollars and Send Earnings because they have genuine paid surveys also, although they have recently reduced their daily paid surveys to $0.50 each from $1.00.
May 8th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Well maplaver I’m probably the youngest person in this blog.
Answers to Rick’s Questions
1) Do you also participate in paid e-mails? Yes, I’m a member of InboxDollars and SendEarnings.
2) Do you never join offers just to get the $ and then cancel them after you get credited? Yes I do join only and ONLY if it does not require that you enter a credit information. Basically I do the paided surveys.
Well Greenfield Online always offers surveys on their website but don’t expect this surveys to be paided. Offer sites like Memolink, Inbox Dollars and Send Earnings give you the chance to qualify for a paid surveys when ever you log in their surveys. Most of their surveys are from OTX (Online Testing Exchange). 2(4)
May 9th, 2008 at 8:58 am
well thanx again gang…this whole moving, changing computers etc yhing has been a good thing actually…it has forced me to organize all this bull sh&^%$# password, profile, gpt stuff!!!…i am going with 11 sites to my new location, here they are..synovate global opinions, acop, mysurvey, pinecone, surveyspot, opinionoutpost, greenfield, lightspeed, inbox$, sendearnings, your2cents…if anyone can think of a must have that is not listed please inform me, i probabally already have an account there but will need to update new address, otherwise i think i will stop with the tiki sh*&^% since 100$ at 2 cents an email is not worth it, thanx lee…this computer has problems because greenfield surveys i just get never ending hourglasses and others don’t work either so a new computer will be good…sorry admin i’m heading back to midwest, wi. to be exact, nc was a nice break however i’m a north woods guy…quick question, what is your best ESTIMATE for your AVERAGE survey payoff and time to complete…thanx all rick.
May 9th, 2008 at 10:04 am
Rick, I would add these to your list:
ClearVoice, ValuedOpinions, HCD, SocraticForum, BuzzBack, GlobalNet, GlobalOpinion, GlobalTestMarket, SurveySaavy and mindField Online.
May 9th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
thanx lee…that HCD site is just a mkting co, i didn’t see any survey signup area however i did join buzzback, socratic and clearvoice, thanx…the others i had already joined, just didn’t remember, they are now updated also, much appreciated again…my mistake was i joined too many sites at first and became overwhelmed by spam, so i had to abort my old email and start fresh…so i now have a good base of 20 sites that i will focus on, complete all profiles etc…i am now comfortable purging the hard drive on this computer and downloading a spankin new roboform on my next computer, i have a hardcopy of ALL my sites, it took about 8 hours to do today with waiting for email replies and all…i assume that the more surveys i try the better the companies will be able to fine tune the offers to better fit my demographics and interests, correct???…patience ehhh???…thanx again and cheers rick.

RICK,
I’M FINALLY ABLE 2 ANSWER UR QUESTIONS… HOPE THEY HELP:
“If you were on a desert island and could only take 5 survey sites with you, which 5 would you take?”
I chose these ‘cause they’re the ones that have paid me already since I joined them in feb/march of this year…
1. pinecone research
2. survey spot
3. opinion place
4. lightspeed
5. harris poll online
“Guys and/or gals?”
Gal
“Do you also participate in paid e-mails?”
Yes, I do.
1. my points
2. send earnings
“Do you ever join offers just to get the $ and then cancel them after you get credited?”
Yes, I do some free trials like that but only if I’m really interested in the trial. I always cancel in the trial period even though I don’t know if I’ll get the credit or not ‘cause it takes longer than the trial days. I’ve only done trials with MYPOINTS.
“Are there any sites you automatically go to every day or so to check for surveys? In other words, sites where you don’t wait for them to send you an invitation via email”
Yes.
-my view
-survey spot
-polling point
-opinion central
-opinion place (every 3 or 7 days, they give u the date that u can come back)
-rewardtv
-fusion cash (2 surveys per day)
-send earnings (1 survey a day)
-reward port (1 daily survey and 1 survey every 48 h)

EDDIE,
The youngest? Y can’t u just say ur age?
Basically u don’t do the offers RICK is talking about ‘cause they require credit/debit info ‘cause they are trials. I assume he’s talking about trials ‘cause he says that he’s able 2 cancel them.
Don’t u hate OTX? I do!!!!! I have trouble qualifying 4 their surveys… and they’re everywhere… mypoints, the daily survey of send earnings and reward port. And sometimes they don’t let me do all the daily surveys ‘cause there’s a limit of OTX surveys u can take per day like LEE explained in another comment.

May 12th, 2008 at 5:34 pm
Since you mention Opinion Central, which I am a member of and which Heath has not yet reviewed, I will just mention that they are a points for prizes site and I have 2850 points so far. The prizes range from a cosmetic bag with make-up mirror, zipper compartment and velcro closure for 3700 to an iPod Classic Silver 80GB for 95,000. I will probably claim an inexpenisve gift and cash out relatively soon. Gifts are not of much interest to me.
May 12th, 2008 at 5:49 pm
RICK,
ABOUT YOUR NEVER ENDING HOURGLASS, HERE’S A COMMENT FROM EDDIE UNDER PERMISSION RESEARCH THAT WILL PROBABLY HELP U (if u have that program, read the post about it):
Eddie Says:
February 23rd, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I have been a member of Permission Research since for almost three months now. When I first joined this panel I did install the program that you are talking about. I did have my suspicions about the program but I still installed it. I soon learned that was a bad idea. I am a member of many survey sites including Greenfield Online. They send me many survey invites that some give cash and others don’t. Well after I installed Permission Research program, I couldn’t can any of their survey. I was always stuck on the page where you have to verify your identity. I send Grenfield Online an email and they told me that I might have spyware on my computer. So when I found out that Permission Research was responsible, I quickly uninstalled the program. And when I attempted to enter a Greenfield survey I didn’t see any “never-ending hour glass”. Since then I never installed that software but I’m still an active member with that panel. Permission Research is an “ok” survey site. The only bad thing about it is the program that they asks you to install. I really don’t care that it monitors my Internet activity, but it does annoy me when it interferes with Greenfield surveys. If people do want to join them, I only advise them not to install their software(The software sometimes gives you pop up surveys meaning a new window will pop up asking you to take a survey).
I DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS QUESTION “what is your best ESTIMATE for your AVERAGE survey payoff and time to complete?”
I would add ESEARCH, EPOLL, HARRISPOLLONLINE, OPINION PLACE, SURVEY SPREE, SURVEYS.COM, IPSOS I-SAY, and MY VIEW.
**4th comment**
May 12th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
Why are you so interested in my age? Thats what I am wondering. My age is irrelevant in this blog!!!
Yes its true I don’t do the offers Rick is talking about “‘cause they require credit/debit info”. But I am a member of sites like IndoxDollars, MyPoints, and SendEarnings.
Well I wouldn’t say I hate OTX, but I would say it annoys me sometimes. I regularly qualify to their survey that I get from MyPoints, MindfieldOnline and other survey sites. It annoys me when I’m screened out of a movie survey just because they there was a technical error. Movie survey are when you get to watch a movie trailer of an upcoming movie and then answer questions about. When I’m watching a movie trailer, it sometimes takes me out of the survey when the video is not streaming correctly. They say it is cause my other windows open or downloads running, but most of the time I’m not doing any of those things. And yeah it also annoys me when I am told I have reached my limit of the day. OTX is definitely my least favorite internet domain to take a survey from. 6(2)

LEE,
How good are HCD, SocraticForum, BuzzBack?
Cash?
Points for money?
Points for prizes?
I haven’t really looked at the prizes of OPINION CENTRAL.
I was invited once with a pop up window in Spanish asking me if I wanted 2 take a survey with them and that’s about it.
I visit the site now and then but their surveys are SOOOOO long I get bored
Are these “cosmetic bag with make-up mirror, zipper compartment and velcro closure for 3700 to an iPod Classic Silver 80GB for 95,000” the only prizes or that’s just an example?
**5th comment**
May 12th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
HCD is worth a 1$ 2-3 times per week and the topics are always on political issues. SocraticForum is also cash and they send me about 1-2 per week for $3 each. BuzzBack pays $3 to $7 and they send you a check as soon as the survey closes. I haven’t received a check from BizzBack yet that I aware of as they do not keep track for you. I like all three and will be with them for a long time.
May 12th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
EDDIE,
Sorry about the age question. Just curious…
Would u recommend IndoxDollars? Have u cashed out and received the money yet? Does it have a daily survey? Do u have 2 complete an amount of ur money thru offers like fusion cash?
I’m a member of the other too but I’m not sure about IndoxDollars ‘cause I’ve read tons of complaints.
I almost never qualify for the OTX of mypoints.
I luv movey surveys
I’m a movie addict… I usually do them with myview and survey spot.

Thank you for writing to us at Greenfield Online Panel Support.
Here is exact message GFO sent me after I told them about the “NEVER ENDING HOURGLASS”:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that might have caused to you while taking part in our surveys. I have forwarded this information to our technical team . We have received a number of similar emails from panelists and therefore our technical team is continuously working on this to solve this issue. Could you please confirm whether there was a common program you had installed on all systems? You may have spyware and you may have adware or other software also that functions in a way that also affects the browser’s ability to communicate back to us. Contact your anti-virus program vendor for details on how to enable it to detect and remove spyware, or contact your internet service provider (ISP) directly. Many ISPs have tools that you can use to remove spyware as well.
Any software that filters browser transfers could be contributing to the problem. You should check into any popup blocking software you have, any other survey software, or any software you have added from free sites and review the license agreement/FAQ (Frequently Asked questions) sections to find out if the software does any type of filtering of browser transfers. You could try turning off all of these automatic programs that you may have running in the background, then try taking a survey again. But some of these programs also have auto startup features so while you may think they turned it off, it may not be truly turned off. If you com pletely disable and turn off the program, I am sure you would be able to take surveys again.
It will be my pleasure to render any further clarifications or assistance you may require.
We appreciate your membership and continued interest in our surveys.
Best regards,
Kaiser Sherwood

Well maplaver since you are so interesting: If I’m not taking a online survey or doing other things that interest me, then I’m probably tackling a tough calculus problem or writing a six page essay on one thing that is popular in our culture today and how it compares to ancient times. My age is x plus the derivative of y equals nine x squared?
I can’t recommend InboxDollars to you because I have not cashed out with them and I don’t even know how much earnings I have with them. I don’t remember the last time I logged in to my InboxDollar account. Yes I think InboxDollars have daily survey most which look like GreenfieldOnline survey or sometimes OTX surveys. They sometimes but not often send surveys from different survey companies. 6(5)
May 12th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
Ok EDDIE, thanx
funny by the way…!
LEE NEW, have u cash out and received the money from INBOXDOLLARS yet?
May 12th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
I have earned $39 from Inbox Dollars since feb. 5, 2008 and requested, but not received, a check for $19.10. You cannot request another check until the first arrives and they charge a $3 processing fee plus make you wait two months after you request a check before it is ‘processed’. My check, which I requested on April 1, 2008, is scheduled to be ‘processed’ on June 2. I think this policy is mostly annoying for the first check and after that, not so much.
May 12th, 2008 at 10:23 pm
LEE NEW,
y do they have that 2 month policy? is ridiculous!!!
plus that $3 fee… NOOOO!
this one is def. not 4 me!!!
thanks

Help..I began by filling out what I thought was going to be a simple 15-20 question survey and then redirect me to the “opinion” web site for entering your comments based on your last visit to Taco Bell with the chance to win $1,000. I enter these all the time, so this time I decided to enter my husbands name thinking he might have better luck than I. But, as the survey progressed I realized I wanted to sign up for all the surveys and mystery shopper opportunities, but I did not know how to go back to the beginning and enter my name instead of my husbands…He works full time and I am homemaker, so I doubt he would find being on the computer after 10 hours any kind of plus…how do I go about taking his name out and putting my data in?
Thanks

By the way…when I stumbled upon this site I found it quite comforting to know that there are some non-rookies at this. I’ve been reading these blogs for a good part of the morning, it has helped to answer alot of my questions. Thanks again.

Yes, this blog is very helpful. When I found out about it, I also read ALL the old posts and comments. And subscribed to it when it finally was allowed by email. Now, I receive every new post in my email. You should do that if u haven’t yet!!!
I’m sorry but I can’t help u with ur question ’cause I don’t know 4 sure
but maybe if u try 2 access the survey again or if u rememember the names of the opportunities u wanted 2 join, u can google them… sometimes u can sign up directly in the website.

The only sites that I go to every day to check for paid surveys are InBox Dollars and Send Earnings, because I know they will always pay $0.50 per day and I don’t want to miss out on an opportunity by taking one of their surveys at GFO (both are owned by the same company as GFO: Cotter Web Enterprizes). InBox Dollars, Send Earnings and SurveySpot send me several emails every day so I always check those sites automatically.

RICK,
Why did u post in ur comment part of LEE’S and MYSELF comments?
Ur welcome… We’re all here 2 help each other
Ok, so COTTER ENT. owns GREENFIELD, INBOXDOLLARS and SENDEARNINGS. Is that correct LEE? Do they own others or just those 3?
Do u know if SENDEARNINGS has the same ridiculous policy that INBLOXDOLLARS has for cashing out?

I’ve never heard of OPINIONS TRONE. But I checked it in RIPOFF REPORT 2 see if there were any complaints and found none. Also, found this interesting review of it:

An excellent technique for determining whether or not a survey site is legitimate is to simply place the name of the survey site plus the word ’scam’ into your Google search bar and see what comes up.
May 14th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
LEE,
That’s exactly what I do.
And I did it 4 RICK 2, that’s how I found the SURVEYPOLICE article (it was listed 1st).
But I also go to RIPOFFREPORT ’cause they have all types of complaints, not only SCAMS.
Does anybody here uses LUCKY SEARCH?
If so, have u won anything yet?
I found out ’bout it here thru YOURFREESURVEYS (in that list at the end of every survey which said something like ‘would u like to end the survey and win prizes for searching in google’)

Hi,
Didn’t any of u get the $10 fro surveypro? Well i did, i joined up in all their surveys, and i got paid in 3 days, and then i unsubscribed from all those sites i did not like. I only gave ph no to a couple of sites and that too i gave it as 000-000-0000. Didn’t u try this?
Anyway didn’t any of u participate in the $35 focus group from survey spot? What about the relationship focus group for $5? I recently got another chance at another $30 group a few days back, but did not qualify.
I have done a couple of movie surveys, and i really like them, i.e the only reason i visit reward tv, i really don’t think u can get anything else from that site, the competition is too huge.
After reading all you posts i feel really lucky, according 2 my calculation, i must have made $80 till now, and i only started doing surveys,on 16th april. Maybe my luck won’t longer but now i am beginning to worry about taxes. What should i do if i get more than $600 for this year, how can the IRS check?
May 18th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
No I’m not a member of Survey Pro. I never visited that site and probably NEVER will because it sounds like a offers site or a Paid to try BS.
I also haven’t taken a focus group survey with Survey Spot but I have taken interactive surveys with LightSpeed Research. I think focus group are the same thing a interactvie surveys. Now I think that, I have received several focus group invites but I didn’t qualify for them.
Yeah its true, RewardTV is site that it’s really hard to win a prize especially in the auction. And the competition is so huge that I almost have six millions points. But that is not enough to compete with other people that have nine or ten million points.

This comment will be about the Zandl Group Survey.
I sent them an email that said I was interested in their panel on May 10 and then they send me an email on Thursday May 15 telling me to give me my personal information. Yesterday I sent then an email with all that information. Well today I got another email from them. Here is that it said:
“Hello, Click on the link below so you can take the Zandl Panel Lifestyle Survey. After completing the survey, I will email you with PayPal information so you can claim your $10 (within 2-3 business days). Let me know if you have any questions by emailing me at membership@zandlgroup.com . If you have friends who might be interested in joining, feel free to let them know they can email me at the address above.”
I was given the link to take a survey. So I guess I qualify for the $10 dollar survey. Thanks maplaver for introducing me to this panel.

I just finished the The Zandl Group survey. It was called Lifestyle survey. It took me about 20 minutes to finish because I was also taking a survey from Opinion Square. All the questions were fill in the blank so it took me longer to finish than other surveys. Overall the survey was easy to complete but I did have to but “N/A” for some of the questions because that didn’t apply to me. Now I have to wait until I get the $10 email.
May 19th, 2008 at 6:06 pm
Ur welcome Eddie

Yeah, it is true that all the questions are FILL IN THE BLANK but still, it’s an easy $10 to ur paypal account
I’m not sure if they really are a survey panel ’cause that’s the only invitation I’ve received. I think is a one time opportunity with them.

Hi,
Did any of u qualify for the $20 survey from survey spot? I did qualify, and i felt really happy,i.e until the next screen, of the survey said that since they already had more people than required i could not participate. I mean why ask so many questions, and say i qualified, only 2 say later that i could not participate? Just my luck!
Anyway, maybe if i had logged in 2 their website earlier i could have gotten lucky, but i could not since today morning i realised i wasn’t getting any mail in my inbox. I knew something was wrong because i get lot of junk mails, and there was no way i was so lucky, so I ran a scan and found out that a spyware had infected my laptop and had been monitoring all my activities and password info, etc. It took me 9hours 2 rid my laptop of the spyware, and change all my passwords( my laptop is really slow, it’s like the LIVING DEAD of Laptop’s), and since i access my bank account online, i was really worried, but thankfully nothing had happened. I think it was the first time that i felt happy on seeing junk mail in my inbox.
But i think u guys should also run a scan on ur pc’s since i am pretty sure i got the spyware when i downloaded something for a survey or offer site. Better 2 be safe than sorry.
