20/20 Research: Make Money with Focus Groups
Uncategorized December 10th, 200820/20 Research Inc. is an innovative market research company which specializes in focus groups, online bulletin board discussions and personal interviews. It was established in 1986, and has been online since 2001. What I find the most interesting about this particular market research firm is their “online bulletin board” technology, called Qualboard, where participants log on to a study whenever they have time, and a moderator leads the with questions, where you interact in real time with other participants. From the website:
| What are the basic parameters of online bulletin boards? | |||||
The beauty of the online bulletin board methodology is that the parameters can be customized to the needs of the study. It could be a straightforward in-depth inquiry over four or five sequential days, or it could be ongoing. With online bulletin boards a discussion can be initiated for a few days, respondents can then take time off to use a product or service or complete some “homework,” and return to the bulletin board on a subsequent date to participate in follow-up research. Each day a group of pre-determined questions are posted. Respondents agree to visit the board two or three times a day, and to watch for follow-up questions throughout the discussion. The moderator visits frequently to assess participation and to post additional probes.

I had heard about 20/20 research on the forum, and joined in August and was somewhat discouraged that I hadn’t been contacted yet. But I got a phone call a couple of weeks ago, and I was selected! After logging in for 3 consecutive days, 30 minutes, twice a day, I received a check for $75! It was very professionally done and they were very thorough in verifying of information and quality control.
Even though you may only be asked to participate a couple of times a year, I think this is one of the best survey companies I have joined so far. Unlike many of the “focus group” sites that you see all over the Internet, this one is completely legitimate. And just to let you know how legitimate I think it is, I gave out my REAL phone number for the first time ever! Now that’s saying something!
They have focus group facilities in Memphis, Miami and Charlotte, so I’m hoping that eventually I will be contacted to participate in a face to face, round table, focus group. I live about 40 minutes from Charlotte, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I’ll keep you posted.

I completed a very interesting study that required me to log into a bulletin board for four days and give my opinions on a new developing product and reply to further questions from a moderator. I was awarded a $100 Amazon gift certificate delivered promptly.

I’ve signed up. Sounds perfect for me now that I am eliminating these Tik Tik Cash offer sites and others that send too many emails for too little cash.

does not anyone see that the person that supposedly signed up for 20/20, later responds with “our clients and we”, they obviously work for 20/20 and probably the respondents as well.

No, Stan, I write all the blog posts and I join each and every one I review. I think you must be referring to the part of the blog where I quote from the website. What is written after I wrote “from the website” was taken from the 20/20 website. (The quoted portion is the portion that is indented.)Heath

Joined last year to 2020. Never heard a thing until last night. A very bored humorless woman went through what seemed to be a sales pitch for a life insurance company, though she assured me every 2 minutes she was not selling anything. She finally disqualified me, I was relieved and cheerfully said goodbye. I get this feeling ever again from them, Auf Wiedersehen
