I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Socratic Forum yet. This is definitely a legitimate and worthwhile survey company. They don't send out surveys very often, but when they do they are always well-compensated. I have only $15 in earnings with them since I joined on March 17, 2008, but I still enjoy taking their surveys and consider them a solid company that everyone should join. A bit more information.

Socratic Forum members participate in state-of-the-art Web-based surveys about the hottest new technologies and software, e-commerce innovations, business-to-business products and services, and forces driving the global economy. Survey participation is always 100% voluntary, and all information provided to us remains confidential. I am very happy with the way the Socratic Forum does business, but once again, as with Pinecone Research and ACOP, how many surveys do they send out? I have them ranked at #17 for the $20 I have made with them over the past six months, but that really isn't very spectacular. Has anyone else done better?

Member Referral Sweepstakes Draws To A Close

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Member Referral Sweepstakes that began at 12:00:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on Friday, March 6, 2009 and ended at 11:59:59 a.m. PT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. The program resulted in over 10K new members signing up to join the Socratic Forum. Many of these new members have already begun participating in research and have been banking their incentives & Prizes.

Our lucky member who made the referral has been a member with the Socratic Forum since April of 2006. The winning referral entry has already responded to and completed a survey. Winners of the sweepstakes have already been notified via email. They are:

The Socratic Forum is an excellent cash-based site that has earned me $71 since March 28, 2008 and which currently ranks 17th out of my top 25 survey sites. Although the Socratic Forum does not send out many survey invitations, they are very legitimate, interesting and well compensated. I have completed 17 surveys over the past 15 months for incentives of $2 to $5 on the topics of spending, music, entertainment, eating habits, webcams and other computer peripherals. Most surveys are between five and 25 minutes, with longer surveys earning higher amounts. They pay by check in increments of $5 with a minimum $5 cash out, which usually arrives in about six to eight weeks. If you invite your friends to join, using a special code tied to your member ID, you and your friend have the chance to win $5,000 each. They also have a monthly sweepstakes which you are entered into automatically each time you complete a survey. Here is a list of the amounts earned by winners:

Although surveys are available for three to five days after the email invitation is sent, it’s best to complete them as soon as possible because they often reach their quota of respondents quickly. If you are unable to complete a survey for some reason, you are usually able to rejoin the survey at the point you left off. To resume the survey, either click on or copy and paste into your browser the original URL you used to start. Be sure to use the same email address to enter the survey that you previously used. Customer service is readily available through their website or by calling 1-800-5-SOCRATIC (1-800-576-2728).
