One of the best survey sites is Pinecone Research (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/links.php?id=49). There are many things that's good about this site but there is only one that matters to me. And that is the fact that I have made over $40 with them. In this thread you can post any thoughts or comments about Pinecone Research. Your comments can either be positive or negative, it doesn't really matter. This will help new people learn more about what they offer as a survey site.

Pinecone is #2 in my ratings : http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1

Pinecone is old reliable to me. Real steady. I get 2 to 3 surveys a month with no hassle or telling me I didn't qualify. Checks ( or paypal) are automatically sent. You get the occasional product test.

The only downside is the surveys are only $3.00 a pop.
And I got an invite for a sweepstakes entry only the other day. I hope that is not the trend for them or they will fall really quick.

Pinecone Research (http://www2.pineconeresearch.com/index.htm) is another survey site that is always listed in every Top Ten list, because they pay $3 for each and every survey, which usually last about 20 minutes, and the checks always arrive very soon after the survey closes without having to request them. Pinecone also pays through Paypal! Although I have only earned $6 from Pinecone so far since I joined on March 25, 2008. I have a feeling that once I am 'in' with them, I will receive surveys more often. Here is what I found out about this survey company.

http://i25.tinypic.com/hrzxqh.jpg

PineCone Research is at the forefront of “online research”, today’s sophisticated and leading-edge approach to gathering consumer opinions. Consumer input is vital to the development of new and improved products. Traditional survey methods, although effective, can be inconvenient and time consuming. Online research helps solve this dilemma. With online research, you can answer surveys from the comfort and convenience of your own PC and at a time that is convenient for you.

We will notify you by email of upcoming product surveys.
You will be provided with a password which will enable you to access the survey at a designated website.
We will pay for completed product evaluation surveys.
Occasionally we may ship you a product to test.
Project evaluation surveys average 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
Occasionally we may ask other members of your household to complete a questionnaire if the product is more appropriate for someone in your household other than yourself.
From time to time we may send you a few questions regarding your household. These questions assist us in sending appropriate product surveys to you. For example, we may need households who are pet owners or households who do not have pets. Your voluntary participation in these questionnaires is extremely important.
Remember... you complete all product surveys from the comfort and convenience of your PC.

Survey payments are processed Monday through Friday except on national holidays. Product evaluation surveys completed during the week will be posted on the next day. Those completed during the weekend will be posted to this page on Monday. PineCone members are not compensated for the household questions (requests ending in 3001) that you may be asked to complete. Your responses to these brief 2-5 minute questionnaires enable us to send you product evaluations, which are paid, that are more specific to your household.

How long are PineCone checks good for?

The PineCone checks are good for a period of 120 days. If you run into difficulty cashing one of our checks, please let us know.

I misplaced one of my PineCone Research checks and now it's expired. Can you replace it for me?

Due to the high volume of checks that we generate on a weekly basis, we are unable to replace lost, stolen or expired checks. The compensation charges for each product evaluation survey are immediately passed along to the sponsoring manufacturer and the accounting records are closed within weeks of the projects end.

How do I start receiving my PineCone payments through PayPal?

To switch your PineCone Research payment type from check to PayPal, you must have an existing PayPal account. If you are a first time PayPal user, it is imperative that you complete all registration requirements, including confirmation of your PayPal account email address. Once you've setup your PayPal account, please update your PineCone Research personal profile with your PayPal account email address and email us at scott@pineconeresearch.com with your request to change your payment type along with your name and user ID. For faster processing, please include your PayPal account email and use "Switch to PayPal" as your subject line.

How do I sign up for PayPal?

To sign up for PayPal, go to www.paypal.com and click on the "Sign Up Now" link. For further assistance with questions pertaining to the PayPal service or navigation of the site, please contact PayPal directly through their PayPal FAQ (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-general) link or PayPal Customer Service Center (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-phone).

Pinecone is at the top of my "top 10 list". The only drawback is that they have so many people wanting to join this panel that the link to join is only available sporadically. It was available on Yourfreesurveys (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com) about a month ago, and I suspect that we will have the link again in the near future. I'll post the link here and on the blog when we get it.

From the Pinecone website:

Where can I find the PineCone banner ads?
Unfortunately, there is no one site that I disclose to you. The banner ad placement is not fixed over the life of the campaign. The web sites that our banner ads may appear on are constantly changing during the course of the campaign.

Yourfreesurveys (http://www.yourfreesureys.com) is one of the top websites for this banner ad. We will also send out an email to our members as soon as it becomes available.

Pinecone has been absolutely AMAZING to me! I've been a member for about 2 months or so. I've received eight checks for a total of $24 and they are always prompt with payment.

And it's crazy, but the last three surveys I've taken have been product reviews, which they've sent me without warning! :D. You know how a lot of surveys word the question, saying something like "if we pick you to try this product, we'll sent it right away", or "would you be willing to try this product if we sent it to you?". All three times, I wasn't expecting to be picked but I was.

I have only received $9 from Pinecone Research in five months that I have been a member, placing them rather low on my Surveys That Pay! (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1&postcount=1) Could you tell me which products they have sent you to review? Also, we have a thread where people are encouraged to tell a little bit about their demographics so as to know why one person might qualify for surveys from certain companies, while others may not. It can be found here (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4).

I love pinecone research! I have been getting 7-10 surveys a month from them plus they send me quite a few products to try. When you are sent a survey you are not disqualified like on other sites.

I would love to join Pinecone but they aren't accepting members right now through their website. I can't wait to join this panel and so far my attempts via e-mailing customer service to join has not worked. They say they are accepting members through advertising on particular websites so they can get the right people they want. If anyone knows how i could join that would be great.

PineCone Research - This is the best panel I have ever found. This company pays you 3 dollars for each survey you take for them, questions known as Household questions are short and do not pay but may qualify you for an upcoming paid survey. Each email will tell you if the survey is Household questions or a paid survey. I receive one or two paid surveys from this company most months of the year.

Thanks for the Info. I filled this out sometime back and I never heard back from them either way whether I was in or not. I finally emailed them and asked them when I would be getting any info on the survey site. They said I didn't qualify because my husband worked for a manufacturing company with produced paper products. Well this was incorrect. He's only a machinist that makes machines that wrap paper products. My sister made it in with no problem..

And By The Way - This is my first post on this site. Just wanted to say Hi and I really enjoy all the info about the Sites that Pay Cash.

PayPal Members (http://www1.pineconeresearch.com/faq.asp#paypal1)

Is it necessary to have a separate personal PayPal account setup for PineCone?

If you already have a personal PayPal account, you are welcome to use it for receiving your PineCone payment. Please note: a merchant account can incur additional charges. The PineCone Research database can accommodate a separate e-mail address for your payment.

Can I have both Personal and Premier/Business Accounts?

Yes. PayPal members may have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account. However, each account must have its own e-mail address and financial information. To learn more about PayPal accounts, click on this link.

How can I tell the difference between a real PayPal e-mail and a fake one?

The address at the top of the browser window you're brought to should read exactly https://www.paypal.com. PayPal e-mails will address you by first name and last name, and NOT by Dear PayPal User or Dear PayPal Member.

Who should I contact with questions; PayPal or PineCone?

Questions about the PayPal service or navigation of the site should be directed to PayPal through their Contact PayPal Customer Service link or Customer Service Center. For all other PineCone Research survey inquiries, feel to contact us at Scott@pineconeresearch.com.

Will I incur any fees if I opt to use my business/premier account to receive my PineCone Research payments?

The Business/Premier account can incur additional fees. To learn more about fees that may be associated with their use, click on this link (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside).

What is the minimum withdrawal amount and is there a fee?

$1.00 USD is the minimum. PayPal provides cost-free withdrawals to your local bank account as long as you meet the minimum threshold values defined on the Pay Pal Withdrawal Fee page. To learn more about minimum withdrawal amounts, click on this link (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-withdrawal-fees-outside).

When can I expect to be compensated for my participation?

Your payment is processed the next business day following the completion of your product evaluation survey. Your notification of payment will come to you from our panelpayment@pcrint.com e-mail address. Please be sure to make a note of this new e-mail address.

Will I be compensated for completing the household questions?

PineCone members are not compensated for the household questions that you may be asked to complete. Your responses to these brief 2-5 minute questionnaires enable us to send you product evaluations, which are paid, that are more specific to your household.

I haven't received payment for my survey; whom do I contact?

Participants can expect to receive their payment 3-5 days after survey completion. If your payment is not listed in your PayPal personal payment history, please contact us and we'll be happy to investigate this further.

How can I identify my PineCone Research survey payment from others that I may receive?

Your payment will be posted to your PayPal Account from our panelpayment@pcrint.com address. The payment detail will include “PineCone Research” in the subject line and the study number in the accompanying message.

Can I update my PayPal Account Email using my PineCone Research personal profile?

Yes. If you have selected PayPal as your PineCone Research payment method and received confirmation of this, the personal profile can be used to update your PayPal account information with us.

What does a Status of Unclaimed mean?

A payment may be Unclaimed for one of the following reasons:

Your recipient did not sign up with PayPal using the same email address that you used to send the money. The recipient simply needs to add this email address to his account (he can add up to eight addresses) and confirm the new email address. The money will then immediately appear in his balance.

The recipient may not have confirmed his email address. Any payments sent to an account will not appear in the account balance until the user has completed the registration process by confirming his email address.

The recipient must manually accept or deny this payment.
For further troubleshooting assistance on this topic, please contact Pay Pal directly through their PayPal FAQ (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-general) or PayPal Customer Service Center (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-phone).

If you have a denied PineCone Research payment in error, please contact us at Scott@pineconeresearch.com and we'll be happy to assist you.

The following is for useful information that new members of Pinecone Research should consider reading:

Can I suspend my surveys for a short time if I'm going to be out of town, on vacation, or my computer goes down?
Yes. Please call or e-mail us and we will be happy to put you on temporary hiatus for the amount of time you request. This way you will not miss any assigned surveys.

Can I update my household information online?
Updating your household information online is quick and easy to do. Simply go to the Pinecone Research website and enter your login information. From there, you can access your personal profile and make any necessary changes. Unfortunately, this option is not available to those with WebTv at this time. If you are a WebTv user, please feel free to contact us by e-mail or phone, and we'll be happy to make the change for you.

Do you recruit new members through your website or take referrals?
Presently, we do not recruit new members through our website or take unsolicited referrals. However, we will be posting recruitment opportunities through banner ads on various websites from time to time throughout the year. If you see one of these ads, please feel free to sign up with us.

Where can I find the PineCone banner ads?
Unfortunately, there is no one site that I disclose to you. The banner ad placement is not fixed over the life of the campaign. The web sites that our banner ads may appear on are constantly changing during the course of the campaign.

If I'm unable to complete the survey, can someone else in my household fill it out for me?
Unfortunately, no. Our panelists are pulled for studies according to certain demographic requirements. While there may be opportunities for other members of your household to participate from time to time, you are the only person who should be completing our studies.

If I make a mistake in the interview, how do I correct it?
It's okay to finish the interview first, then e-mail us the incorrect and correct information for us to change. The "BACK" browser button does not allow you to change any information concerning the survey. The only way to correct this is to finish out the survey and alert us.

Do you ever remove members for missing surveys?
We routinely monitor member participation. Members that are identified as "at risk for removal " are notified of this via e-mail. Those who are unable to maintain acceptable participation levels thereafter are removed from the panel.

Are the survey results ever posted on the web site?
Due to the confidential nature of the testing done on the manufacturer's behalf, the results are shared with the survey's sponsor only.

Is it ok to sign up my spouse for the panel as well?
Participation in the PineCone Research panel is limited to one member per household. While there may be opportunities for other household members to participate from time to time, there can only be one designated spokesperson for the household.

Why am I being asked to complete a survey for a product I haven't tried?
In some instances, panelists are testing the merits of a product idea rather than an actual product that is already in existence. Your feedback helps the manufacturer determine what appeals most to consumers in a product.

Have you stopped using e-mail to notify members of their new assignments?
Your first survey notification will always come to you by e-mail. If you are not receiving these notices, check to make sure your PineCone Research personal profile contains the correct e-mail address. If your address is correct, we recommend checking the e-mail filter setting on your computer and/or contacting your Internet Service Provider.

If my e-mail is missing my survey and ID number, will I still receive a response back from you?
Absolutely! However, including your ID number and the survey number in the message assists us in providing you with a speedier response.

If I'm unable to see the product concept, should I complete the survey anyway?
Your ability to view the product concept in the survey is a requirement for participation in the study. As a member of the PineCone Research panel, you directly influence which products get developed and help ensure that these products meet consumer demands. Your opinion will have an impact on everything from product performance to style, varieties, features, pricing...you name it.

If you are ever unable to view the product concept in one of our surveys, whether it's presented in a picture or video format, please contact us at scott@pineconeresearch.com for troubleshooting assistance. Surveys submitted by those who were unable to view the product concept are not included in the study data.

Do you remove panelists for reasons other than survey non compliance?
Yes. We reserve the right to remove members from the panel without notice for variety of reasons. The list below represents reasons for removal outside of survey compliance and subject to change or update without prior notice.

Violation of the Confidentiality and/or Membership Agreement
Multiple person or household registrations on the panel
Panel composition maintenance (to mirror changes in general population and provide clients with the broadest possible spectrum of consumer opinions)

How long can I be a member of the panel?
Your participation is always entirely voluntary and you may discontinue your panel membership at any time.

Periodically, we have found it necessary to refresh the composition of our panel to stay current with changes in the general population and provide clients with the broadest possible spectrum of consumer opinions. Memberships may be discontinued during panel composition maintenance.

I was not aware that Pinecone Research had a sweepstakes and I also was not aware that they sent out unpaid household questionnaires, which I have now filled out twice.

Sweepstakes Entry Confirmation

Dear Panel Member:

Thank you for participating in the household questionnaire(s) recently assigned to you. We’ve received your information and noted it as complete in our database for you.

As a panelist enrolled in our cash plus sweepstakes incentive program, you automatically received an entry into the bi-weekly sweepstakes for each household questionnaire you completed and increased the number of chances you have of winning the $500 cash prize in the next scheduled drawing.

We appreciate your prompt response to our survey requests and continued interest in the PineCone Research online panel, and we look forward to including you in future surveys.

Best of luck to you in the upcoming sweepstakes drawing!

I don't get many surveys from pinecone research too. I think i have only done a couple. Maybe i should change my profile. Say that i am married, and also probably have kids. Then i would get lot's of opportunities :)

My survey earnings have dropped somewhat after survey spot deactivated my account. The idiots haven't even replied to my mails :( But i still get checks for surveys i did previously.

So,this month i am really concentrating hard on offer sites. I have already made $160 from different sites, and am trying hard to make $300 this month.

Pine Cone Research is very reliable research company. They send you two or three surveys a month and couple of surveys with household questions. You are paid $3 for each survey. The good thing is that you don't have to wait to get paid and don't have to accumulate any amount. They pay via check or paypal and the payment is received without any hassle. The household questions survey is for getting information about you so that you could receive surveys relevant to you. You are entered into sweepstakes for such surveys.

1. yes
2. yes, $3 for each survey they send you about the product you're testing (I've done a minimun of 1 survey per product and a maximun of 2 surveys per product once the product is in my hands [meaning, not counting the survey about the product that you did before receiving the product to test]. The time between each survey follow-up for testing is 2 weeks.

It took me about 3.5 years of searching before I was able to find a link to sign up with Pinecone. Lately I have seen links to sign up (with Pinecone) on several websites. I, too, have come home to products from Pinecone Research, Toaster Struedels for myself and daughter, body lotion and a $10 :D check after doing my review and bottled flavored water. Your household was on the list for deactivation and subsequently removed from the panel. Although we are unable to reactivate your membership, we appreciate your
past participation and interest in the panel.

Thanks

I just wanted to make a correction on my earlier reply. I was paid $10 "cash" after I completed my follow up on the body lotion sample. Which by the way is a 20 oz bottle of a fabulously scented moisturizing lotion that I use daily! Sorry for the mistake!

Well Hunky, I NEVER received $10 from Pinecone after completing a follow up survey. All surveys I complete with them including follow up surveys pay $3. I also tested and used a new body lotion product. After I completed then survey I was asked to send them the product emptied. I did that in middle May I think. They said I would get a $5 incentive after they receive the product. I NEVER to the $5 after over two months. Oh well, I guess they got the box.

I haven't email Karen because I figured if they did not sent me the $5, then they must not have got the box with the product. I'm guessing they NEVER got what I sent them, but your right I should contact them. I have been lazy for long enough and hopefully I will contact them this week.

I should email them either way so I can see how good their customer service is.

Dear Panel Member:

Summer is a time of food and friends, warm days and fun times. While we at PineCone Research can’t wait for you to share those special months with us and take part in many studies with new and exciting products, we need to ask you today to renew your commitment to security. You, the member, are the foundation of this important principle.

We are a new products panel. Just as we take great care in preserving our members’ personal information, we need to protect the intellectual property entrusted to us by manufacturers. For this, your continued support is necessary.

What this means in real terms is that PineCone concept and product evaluations are to be kept confidential. At the beginning of every concept and product evaluation survey you will be asked to agree to the security and confidentiality agreement. When you type ‘I AGREE’, you are promising that you and all the members of your household will keep the subject matter of your PineCone experiences confidential. As tempting as it may be to share these experiences, remember that the products and ideas we test with you belong to the client. Violating your agreement to confidentiality by discussing questionnaire topics, product ideas or samples with people outside your household will lead to swift action in accordance with our policies. Remember that discussion outside the household includes but is not limited to Internet chat rooms, blogs and postings on bulletin boards.

Please click on the link below to learn more about member confidentiality.

Thank you again for your interest and confidential participation in the PineCone panel! We look forward to your participation in future surveys.

Karen Scott

I also received that email today. It was just a basic reminder to keep all new product ideas and concepts confidential. That means membes can NOT give away information about the new products though chat rooms or forum (like this one). I think this agreement should be taken seriously because Pinecone Research has the right to delete any members account when they feel this agreement has been violated.

Today I completed my first paid Pinecone survey in three weeks. I have been waiting for a survey for a long time, but this survey could not come at a better time. The survey was about a new hair product that I'm very interested in and I would definitely buy if I see it in a store shelve. Like Lee said in a previous comment, sometimes surveys open your eyes to better products that improve all the small faults for other products. I think this new product does that and it also introduced a new line of hair care products. That's all the information I will give since this is Pinecone and they do have a strict silent agreement.

Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers hoping they will send me this product so I can be among the first person to try it!!!!

Did you get the product yet? I keep hearing how wonderful Pinecone Research is and I agree that they are a straight-up, no-nonense company that pays $3 by check (and soon by PayPal), but if they don't send more than one or two surveys per month then how good are they really? I have them ranked at #23 for the $12 I have received over the past six months. Has anyone else done better?

I have not received that product. If I don't get it by the end of this week then I probably wasn't selected to test it. I have made over $40 with them during the past three months. Anway, today I received my $3 for completing that survey on Saturday.

You're right (as usual). Pinecone research started offering PayPal on July 11, but I haven't rceived anything via PayPal from them yet.

I was wondering if any sites I'd signed up for had slipped through the filter cracks, so I ran 'survey' through the search function in my gmail spam, and lo and behold, I found an email from Survey Panel Group 120 spam mails in. I clicked it, thinking it was some other survey group I may have overlooked, but, the subject line mentioned something about PineCone Research. I clicked the link, and was redirected to a page requesting the standard survey site info (so I don't think the link was necessarily fake. If it does turn out to be, that's just 500 more instant mails in my spam folder--big whoop). Anyway, after filling it out and clicking submit, this is the result.

Thank you for signing up!

You are now on your way to becoming a PineCone Research Panelist! If you qualify, you will receive an email in a few days which will include your own unique Household ID number and password. Then you are ready for your first survey! If you have any questions, please email Scott@PineConeResearch.com.

I will report back with the results in a few days.

Dear LEE:
PineCone Research is ready to grow and we need your help! If you have ever told a friend about doing surveys for PineCone Research, it is likely that they have asked, "How can I join?" Well, now you can tell them how to become part of this elite group of households. We are offering select members the opportunity to recommend membership to a friend or relative who is NOT a member of their household.

Do you know of households that would like to join the PineCone Research Panel? If so, please FORWARD A COPY of this email to each household you would like to refer so that they may click on the registration link shown below. That household should complete the registration form themselves and submit it. REMEMBER THAT ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD MAY REGISTER. Multiple registrations of the same Household will void all registrations.

Here is the link to the registration:
http://www1.pineconeresearch.com/signup/RR523DS1.asp

As a member in good standing, you've already seen the benefits of being part of PineCone Research. So please, share the benefits of membership with a friend. Just don't forget, please don't tell them about any of the products that you have seen in our questionnaires or tried in your home. Remember, it's important that your PineCone Research survey and product testing experiences remain confidential.

If your referral has any questions, they can email us at scott@pineconeresearch.com or click on the attached links to learn more about PineCone Research.

I've been trying to get back onto Pinecone for about the past year. I guess that explains why, although I've filled out several forms to join, I've never gotten anything from them except a "don't call us, we'll call you" email.

I'm surprised that they're only paying 3 bucks per survey- way back in 1998 when I was doing surveys for them they were paying 4 bucks. I guess they've found that it's easy to get people for surveys?

I really did like doing surveys for them- they seemed to be way more professional than some of the sites I've seen lately.

I was wondering when doing a survey for Pinecone and you click Agree that we would be willing to test a product at home. Is this certain that we will receive it for testing or is this just that we Agree to it if they would send it to us??

I did my last survey on 8/13 and I thought that maybe I was going to receive the test product but as of today I still haven't received it. The last time I had a test product it came in (3) days after I did that survey. Does anyone know

It just means that you are agreeing to test the product, but it is up to the company to select who they send the samples to. You have to realise that a very large no of people agree to test products, so the companies have lot's of choice, and they select a few candidates depending upon their demographic needs.

Also if you have already tested a product for them, there is little chance of you being picked again. I know this since, considering the no of products i agreed to test, i would never have to buy anything, if i were sent all those samples. ;)

But, don't worry just hope that you are selected next time. :)

I've been receiving a steady stream of surveys from them over the past two weeks. I've successfully completed 3, as of today. And I logged on the site to find out that there are even some they don't email to you. So, hopefully I can turn that 3 into a 5.

Thanks for clarifying about the product testing, maplaver. I was curious about why I hadn't seen two of the three products I'd been surveyed on in the mail. By the way, how do you know if they'll send you a product? Do they give prior notice, or does it just mysteriously appear on your doorstep? :p

You can't do the surveys that are not emailed to you. And if you are allowed to proceed with them, you won't be paid so it's a waste of time.

All the products I've received from them have mysteriously arrived at my home :D They come with a letter from KAREN SCOTT explaining what you have to do and in how long you will receive the email invitation for the follow-up survey that will be $3 too!

I think there is a better chance of winning with Pincecone because they do not have a link to join their panel that is easily accessable like Survey Spot. That means there is probably less people how are members of Pinecone which would give someone a better chance of winning. But it the chances would still be 1 in 10000 for higher. One thing is certain, that there are more people with Survey Spot than Pinecone since membership is limited...

I took three surveys with Pinecone Research today, one of which utlilized the new video download program.

Dear Panel Member:

I’d like to take a moment to wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year and thank you for your participation in 2008.

I hope the surveys were relevant to your household and trust that your overall membership experience with Pinecone Research has been a positive one.

As a valued member of the PineCone family, I need to ask you to renew your commitment to preserving security. You, the member, are the foundation of this important principle.
PineCone Research is a new products and ideas panel. Just as we take great care to safeguard our members’ personal information; we need to protect the intellectual property entrusted to us by manufacturers. For this, your continued support is necessary.
As tempting as it may be to share these experiences, remember that the products and ideas we test with you belong to the client. Violating your agreement to confidentiality by discussing questionnaire topics, product ideas or samples with people outside your household will lead to swift action in accordance with our policies. Remember that discussion outside the household includes but is not limited to casual conversations, Internet chat rooms, blogs and postings on bulletin boards.

Please click on the link below to learn more about member confidentiality.

Also coming in 2009…

As a PineCone member, you will soon be asked to participate in studies with a new product picture format. If the computer that you are accessing the survey from is incompatible with this new format, the survey will prompt you to download ArtistiScope’s CopySafe Web plug-in. Feel free to download the plug-in. This will be required for future surveys and will avoid interruption to your survey participation.

To keep pace with the growing needs of our clients, you will begin to see more variability in our survey deadlines. The amount of time that surveys are available may be just a few days. We encourage you to check your e-mail regularly and notify us of any changes or upcoming absences.

Thank you again for your interest and confidential participation in the PineCone panel! We look forward to your participation in future surveys.

Does anyone know a current site that is posting the pinecone research site. Evidently this is the only way you can sign up. I would appreciate any help.
Thank-you

I am not very happy that Pinecone Research is now offering sweepstakes, along with Opinion Outpost.

LEE,

A new product concept study is ready for your participation! This project is #39926-1001 and is currently available on the PineCone website. For this survey, we are offering a sweepstakes with the chance to win one of four $1000 individual awards, one of ten $500 individual awards, or the grand prize of $5000! This questionnaire is somewhat different than our typical survey and we hope you will enjoy your participation.

Please click on the link below to go directly to the survey.

Official rules are posted on the Treehouse Newsletter on our website or can be accessed at the link below.

AMENDED BY ANNIKA!!!

I'd just like to update you further on yesterday's newsletter about Pinecone Research. A member (sundevilinok) in our forum was nice enough to post a topic concerning this issue. They shared a link that claims this could be a false positive and that Trend fixed this issue as of 2 weeks ago. Considering this didn't take place 2 weeks ago and all pattern files are up to date, I still have cause for concern, and felt it our right to alert you our members. I am sorry if any of you are or were offended by me sharing this information and you shared it with others and were perhaps knocked down because of it. We should always warn others when a cause for concern has been brought up. Imagine if this Trojan/virus caused great damage to people's computers and I/we said nothing. How could Annika's ever be trusted? If this information turns out to be false, it will be updated further, but as for now, I feel it's not. My sincere apologies for any harm brought to you, or your reputation. I hope you can forgive me for sharing what I feel is important, even if other's don't believe it yet, I meant well.

Today I received the above message after I finished a Pinecone survey :
Probably because some of their surveys are now for sweepstakes. This is a trend I am seeing with more and more legitimate paid sites recently.

thank you
Lisa W

ok, I went back and read everything a bit more closely cause when I get in a hurry or busy I can over look things. I did learn they are picking up any new people via specific websites using a banner. I emailed them and they sent me a nice reply. I hope they will take me on if I can be of help to them. I am disabled and can only work from home so the surveys are helping me pick up some work right now when money is needed and tight. If anyone has any other ideas how I can earn legitimate money at home with out scams, MLM scemes etc, I sure would be eternally grateful because I cant work outside of the house right now.
thanks

I've seen mostly good stuff to say about them and also a few bad things. to prove that they are very good, Here is my payment history for 2008. My not seem alot but along with my other surveys, I make more than enough for the extra things in life.

I have also received products from them but I won't say which since I take the agreement seriously not to talk about it to other.

Once in awhile (very recently) joining was open to Pinecone survey customers friends and family only. Also, someone said that they didn't qualify for some of the surveys but I beg to differ. I have never been disqualified for a survey. Mindfield is one that I haven't qualified yet and I've been with them for two years. That is on the bottom of my list.

Payment Date Survey Number Amount

Well this is a first for me... I usually never have any problems with Pinecone survey but yesterday I was unable to complete survey #40298-3001. This was a Household survey that was not paid. To make things worse, today I received an email about survey #40282-1001 which is a paid survey. I quickly sent a survey to Karen Scott which can be seen below...

I'm writing you this email to let you know that I'm having problems completing Survey #40298-3001 Household questions.

I log in the website normally and sent to the "Dear Pinecone Panelist" page, but after I click the forward button I get a Web Shield alert from AVG Anti-Virus with the following information...
File name: 78.110.175.249/cp/?M
threat name: Exploit JavaScript Obfuscation (type 609)
Process Name: c:\Program Files\Yahoo!\browser/YBrowser.exe
Process ID: 3956

I'm not redirected to the next page so I'm unable to participate in this survey. I tried to take the survey yesterday but I was stopped by this problem. Please help me solve this problem so I can take this survey

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem...
