My favorite is Lord of the Rings too :) I liked the movie better than the books, but in the case of Harry Potter it's the reverse. I liked the books, more than the movies. They messed up somewhat in the movies :(

By the way i watched Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull, and it really did not meet my expectations. Especially the ending, with all the aliens, which i thought was, really stretching it a bit toooooo far.

I mostly like fantasy movies, with wizards and magic, and also superhero movies like Supermn, Batman, Etc. Can't wait to see Hancock :) A superhero, who is a loser, and a drunk? That is definitely worth a watch.

I would like to direct a movie too, some day

I really enjoy watching the The X-Files because of the drama and mystery, plus the sci-fi feel of the show makes me want to watch the reruns.

I have never watched the first movie but I'm planning to use my ZoomPoints on that DVD. I'm really looking forward to the new movie called The X-Files: I want to Believe.

Alien Autopsy Roswell (1947) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCUxSZjrq2w) (10:43)

This is the filmed autopsies of aliens at Roswell, New Mexico. In the mid to late 1990's, the United States Air Force responded to a General Accounting Office inquiry regarding what has become known as the "Roswell Incident" with two reports explaining the Air Force's version of the events. The "Roswell Incident" refers to witness accounts of debris from an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) and alien corpses from the alleged UFO crash near the town of Roswell, New Mexico. The second of the reports addresses the likelihood that the "alien corpses" seen in the New Mexico desert were actually anthropomorphic dummies from high-altitude parachute drops conducted with dummies from the Aero Medical Laboratory at Wright Air Development Center, codename, "Area 51".

I am unable to see that video because it's "inappropriate for some users" and I don't like I would want to watch it anyway. I don't really consider that a movie. It's more as a user create video.
It's probably fake anyway.

Film footage, purporting to show an alien autopsy, was promoted during the 1990s by Ray Santilli, a London-based video entrepreneur. However, Santilli announced in 2006 that the film was not entirely genuine. This announcement was made by Santilli in the TV documentary film "Eamonn Investigates: Alien Autopsy", made by British Sky Broadcasting. In the documentary, Eamonn Holmes repeatedly refers to the film as a "fake", while Santilli patiently insists it is a "restoration," because he maintains that his film is a reconstruction of an actual alien autopsy film that he viewed in the early 1990s but has subsequently been lost. Santilli further claimed that a few of the frames embedded in his video are from the original, although he was unable to identify these with any certainty.

A Hard Day's Night (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Hard_Day's_Night_(film)) (1964)

British critic Leslie Halliwell states the film's influence as "... it led directly to all the kaleidoscopic swinging London spy thrillers and comedies of the later sixties..." In particular, the visuals and storyline are credited with inspiring The Monkees' television series. The "Can't Buy Me Love" segment borrowed stylistically from Richard Lester's earlier The Running Jumping & Standing Still Film and it is this segment, in particular using the innovative technique of cutting the images to the beat of the music, which has been cited as a precursor of modern music videos. Roger Ebert goes even further, crediting Lester for a more pervasive influence, even constructing "a new grammar": "he influenced many other films. Today when we watch TV and see quick cutting, hand-held cameras, interviews conducted on the run with moving targets, quickly intercut snatches of dialogue, music under documentary action and all the other trademarks of the modern style, we are looking at the children of A Hard Day's Night".

Independence Day

http://lani.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/425px-independence_day_movieposter.jpg

On July 2, a mammoth alien mothership enters orbit around Earth and deploys several dozen saucer-shaped "destroyer" spacecraft, each 15 miles in width. As the destroyers take positions over most of Earth's major cities, David Levinson, an underachieving MIT-graduate working for a cable company in New York City, discovers hidden satellite transmissions which he believes to be a timer counting down to a coordinated attack by the aliens. With the help of his ex-wife Constance Spano a White House employee, he and his father Julius gain entrance into the Oval Office to warn President Thomas J. Whitmore of the impending attack. The President orders an evacuation of the targeted cities, but soon afterwards the hovering spacecraft incinerate the cities using advanced directed-energy weapons, killing millions. The President, portions of his staff, and the Levinsons narrowly escape aboard Air Force One.

The movie was filmed mostly in Montreal, and, as of today, is the highest grossing Hollywood film in history to be filmed in Canada.

http://www.feoamante.com/Movies/Terminat/T3/T3mp.jpg

Because of the events shown in the second film, Judgment Day did not occur as originally predicted. However, John Connor still doesn't believe the future war has been totally averted. He is living "off-the-grid," in Los Angeles, California with no permanent residence, credit cards, or mobile phone, and is working freelance so he can't be tracked. Skynet sends another Terminator, the T-X, back to July 24, 2004, Judgment Day, to kill the human resistance's future lieutenants, because Connor could not be located through any information databases. The T-X, later dubbed the "Terminatrix", is armed with a full arsenal of advanced weapons from the future, avoiding the restriction of non-living tissue by carrying them internally, including the ability to remotely control most machines.

As before, a reprogrammed Terminator, identical to the Terminators from the previous films, has been sent back in time to protect Connor and his future wife, Katherine Brewster. In a plot twist, this particular Terminator killed John Connor in 2032, before being reprogrammed and sent back in time by Connor's wife. After rescuing them from an initial attack, the Terminator leads them to Sarah Connor's coffin, which her friends filled with weapons in the event that Judgment Day was not prevented. The T-X and the police arrive, and the three narrowly escape in a hearse.

After the destruction of Cyberdyne Systems in T2, the Air Force has taken over the Skynet project as part of its Cyber Research Systems division, headed by General Robert Brewster, Kate's father. In an attempt to stop the spread of a computer supervirus, they activate Skynet, allowing it to invade all of their systems. John, Kate, and the Terminator arrive just a few minutes too late to stop them. The T-1 terminators, under control of the T-X, start killing office personnel. John, believing that Judgment Day can still be stopped, asks where the Skynet system core is, and just before General Brewster dies, he tells John and Kate to go to Crystal Peak, a base built into a mountain

These movies make me want to laugh

http://www.momentumpictures.co.uk/assets/posters/Waiting_-_website_poster_-_280px_.JPG

The film focuses on several characters. One of the main protagonists, Dean, has been a waiter for four years since graduating high school and has never questioned his job at Shenaniganz (a parody of Bennigan's, a casual dining restaurant; this name is also a reference to the film Super Troopers). He hasn't earned a degree after four years of community college. When Dean learns a former high-school classmate, Chet, now has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, he is thrown into turmoil about his seemingly dead-end life. Dean's lecherous friend and co-worker, Monty, is in the exact same situation, but couldn't care less and has accepted the fact that his future lies with Shenaniganz. While being more concerned with partying and girls, Monty is put in charge of training Mitch, a newly hired waiter who never seems to get a word in edgewise.

The film was a major critical and commercial success when it was released and has remained a popular favourite since. Kline received wide acclaim and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work. Cleese and Crichton received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

In 2000, readers of Total Film magazine voted A Fish Called Wanda the 37th greatest comedy film of all time. In 2004 the same magazine named it the 41st greatest British film of all time. In 2000, the American Film Institute ranked the film 21st on its list of the 100 funniest movies ever made. This film is number 27 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies". It is also included in the Reader's Digest list of the "100 Funniest Films" (a list rather than a ranking). A Fish Called Wanda was one of only 24 movies to be named on all three of the A.F.I., Bravo and Readers' Digest "top 100 funniest" lists. The movie also garnered an impressive and rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In 1989, a Danish audiologist, Ole Bentzen, died after laughing while watching the film. His heart was estimated to have beat at between 250 and 500 beats per minute, before he succumbed to cardiac arrest.

Caddyshack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caddy_shack) (1980)

Despite the film's reputation as a bona-fide cult classic and its many inclusions on lists of funniest films, reviews at the time of the film's release were generally negative. Gene Shalit called it a "hazard", and David Ansen of Newsweek wrote that "The writers have saddled themselves with a bland hero and a perfunctory drama that will be of interest only to the actors' agents".

Nevertheless, the film has slowly gained a massive cult following among those of the younger generation as well as in the golf world (Tiger Woods has said that it is his favorite film) and many of the film's quotes have entered the lexicon of pop culture. Ramis notes in the DVD documentary that TV Guide had originally given the film two stars when it began showing on cable television in the early 1980s, but over time, the rating had gone up to three stars.

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut

http://images.businessweek.com/ss/06/11/1106_banned/image/14.jpg

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is an Academy Award-nominated animated satirical comedy/musical film released in 1999 and based on the animated television series South Park. The film parodies animated Disney films such as Beauty and the Beast and the Broadway musical Les Misérables, and satirizes the controversy surrounding itself. It features 12 songs by Trey Parker and Marc Shaiman with additional lyrics by Matt Stone. The song "Blame Canada" was nominated for an Academy Award and the song "Uncle _0_a" won an MTV Movie Award for Best Musical Performance. It was produced by Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures in association with Comedy Central.

Plot
The Terrance and Phillip movie "_0_ of Fire" opens in South Park's movie theater, and despite the R-rating for the film, Stan Marsh, Kyle and Ike Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick manage to pay off a homeless guy to act as their guardian. Nearly all the dialogue in the film has swear words in it. After three hours of non-stop swearing and profanity, the boys come out with more foul language in their vocabulary than ever before. They utter many of the profanities in the film to their peers, causing most of the rest of the student body to eventually sneak in to watch the film and subsequently utter similar profanities, despite efforts by the school's teacher Mr. Garrison and school counselor Mr. Mackey to teach the students to not swear. The only students not to succumb to the film's lure are Wendy Testaburger, Stan's crush, and Gregory, a new and better educated transfer student, to whom Stan takes an instant dislike. Gregory is a complete genius and Wendy falls head over heels in love with him.

Here are some funny quotes from the movie:

1) Mr. Garrison: ...I'm Sorry Wendy, but I don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.

2)[Kenny has just died in the hospital]
Cartman: I bet him he couldn't do it. I bet him a hundred dollars.
Kyle: It's not your fault, Cartman.
Cartman: Dude, I know, I'm just 0_0 stoked I don't have to pay him.
Kyle: Oh, that's real nice! He was your friend, you fat 0_0!

3) Chef: Haven't you heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?
General: I don't listen to hip-hop.

4) Gregory: I'm here for "la resistance."
Kyle: What's the password?
Gregory: I don't know.
Kyle: Guess.
Gregory: Uhhh... bacon.
Kyle: ...okay.

5) Saddam Hussein: Hey Satan, I got some new luggage for our trip up to Earth. Let's 0_0 to celebrate.

6) Satan: You have spilt the blood of the innocence, now begins 2,000,000 years of darkness!
Chef: [sarcastically] Oh, good job, Mrs. Broslofski! Thanks a lot!
Sheila Broslofski: [innocently] I was just trying to make the world a better place for children!
Saddam Hussein: Yeah, and brought enough intolerence in the world to allow my coming. Now everyone bow down to me!
[the Canadians and Americans do so]
Saddam Hussein: [laughs] Yeah!

7) Satan: The time of prophecy is upon us!
Saddam Hussein: I love when you get all biblical, Satan! You know exactly how to turn my crank.
Satan: No, I'm being serious!

Groundhog Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day_%28film%29) (1993)

Groundhog Day was a solid performer in its initial release, grossing $70.9M in North America and ranking 13th among films released in 1993, but did not achieve blockbuster status. It found a second life on home video and cable, entrenching itself as one of the great American films of the late twentieth century. The film is number thirty-four on the American Film Institute's list of 100 Funniest Movies, and Roger Ebert has revisited it in his "Great Movies" series. After giving it a three-star rating in his original review, Ebert acknowledged in his "Great Movies" essay that, like many viewers, he had initially underestimated the film's many virtues and only came to truly appreciate it through repeated viewings.

This film is number 32 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies". In Total Film's 1990s special issue, Groundhog Day was deemed the best film of 1993 (the year that saw the release of Schindler's List, The Piano and The Fugitive). In 2000, readers of Total Film magazine voted it the seventh greatest comedy film of all time. The Writers Guild of America ranked the screenplay #27 on their list of 101 Greatest Screenplays ever written. National Review magazine featured the movie on its cover on February 14, 2005, saying that it "will almost undoubtedly join It's a Wonderful Life in the pantheon of America's most uplifting, morally serious, enjoyable, and timeless movies." It maintains a 95% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I watched wanted, it was okay. But have u noticed how all the main characters in todays movies have some sort of super powers? :p

I thought the beginning was a bit too much, with that guy jumping from one building to another , like in the Matrix. Nothing is ordinary nowadays, people are even beginning to curve bullets, wonder what they will do next :D

I heard hell boy wasn't so good, so maybe i won't watch it . But i am definitely going to watch the Mummy 3 , and Dark Knight .

I disagree, Superheroes movies are one of the best movies genres because of the action and adventure. The are very popular now and will be for many years to came because the "14-21 year old demographic" run to the movie theaters to watch these kinds of movies. Walk-on Extra?? The film opens with an arms deal taking place at a port in Tampa. Bobby Saint and Micky Duka meet with their contact, Otto Krieg, to provide him with the payments, but at the last moment, the FBI intervenes, and in the ensuing confrontation, Bobby and Otto are shot dead (Bobby is killed by one of his own men, and Otto by the FBI), and Duka is taken to prison. However, it is then revealed that Otto Kreig is in fact FBI agent Frank Castle, who was undercover and wearing a bulletproof vest. Shortly thereafter, Castle celebrates a retirement party with his friends, and heads home.

Meanwhile, it transpires that Bobby Saint is the son of the ruthless and powerful mob boss, Howard Saint, who is inflamed by the death of his son and almost kills Duka (who was bailed out). Instead, Saint and his associate, Quentin Glass, bribe the FBI to provide them with confidential information about Otto Krieg, who brokered the arms deal, and find out his true identity. At Bobby's funeral, Saint learns that Castle is at a family reunion in Puerto Rico and will be heading for London, England soon. He requests that Castle be killed, but at the last moment, Saint's wife, Livia, demands that they murder Castle's entire family as well, in a twisted act of (what the Saints believe to be) revenge.

At the reunion, Saint's cronies, Quentin Glass and John Saint (Bobby's twin) among them, kill everyone present. Castle and his father bring down many of the attackers, but Castle Sr. is eventually killed, and Castle is shot multiple times and left for dead on a pier, which Saint's men torch and destroy. Castle, however, does not die, but is blown away from the explosion, and nursed back to health by a witch doctor. That night, at Saint's club, the Saints drink a toast to their revenge.

Annie Hall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Hall) (1977)

Annie Hall is a 1977 romantic comedy film directed by Woody Allen from a script he co-wrote with Marshall Brickman. It is one of Allen's most popular films: it won numerous awards at the time of its release, including four Academy Awards, and in 2002 Roger Ebert referred to it as "just about everyone's favorite Woody Allen movie". Allen had previously been known as a maker of zany comedies; the director has described Annie Hall as "a major turning point", as it brought a new level of seriousness to his work, in addition to consolidating his signature cinematic style, which includes long, realistically written scenes of conversation, often shot in uninterrupted takes, and an equal thematic investment in both hilarity and heartbreak.

Well I never watched the two movies above so I can't say if they are good or bad. I think the Zohan movie is not disrespectful to Middle Eastern culture because the purpose of the movie is to entertainment. I watch a lot of shows like Family guy, which have some fun moments that some might find disrespectful. I like does kinds of shows because they are afraid to "go there". If you find Zohan disrespectful then you will not like Family Guy.

The Time Out Film Guide noted that some of the film's sketches are "dross, but the parodies of Antonioni (all angst and alienation of a wife who can achieve orgasm only in public places) and of TV panel games ('What's My Perversion?') are brilliantly accurate and very funny. Best of all is the sci-fi parody entitled 'What Happens During Ejaculation?'." In 2004, Christopher Null, founder of filmcritic.com, called it a "minor classic and Woody Allen's most absurd film ever."

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/39/Borat_ver2.jpg

Borat Sagdiyev, a popular Kazakh television personality, leaves his homeland of Kazakhstan for the "Greatest Country in the World," the "US and A" to make a documentary film at the behest of the fictitious Kazakh Ministry of Information. He leaves behind his mother, his wife, Oxana, and the town rapist, and brings along his producer Azamat Bagatov, and his pet chicken, Buh-Kaw. Much of the movie features unscripted vignettes of Borat interviewing and interacting with Americans, who believe he is a foreigner with no understanding of American customs.

While in New York, he sees an episode of Baywatch on television and immediately falls in love with Pamela Anderson. While interviewing a panel of feminists, he learns her name and that she lives in California. Borat is informed via telegram that his violent wife has been violated and killed by a bear. Delighted by the news, he secretly resolves to go to California to make Anderson his new wife. Borat and Azamat were supposed to remain in New York, but Borat justifies the trip by telling his skeptical producer that "Pearl Harbor is there. So is Texas." Because Azamat is afraid of a repetition of the September 11, 2001 attacks, which he believes were the work of the Jews, he will not fly there, so Borat takes driving lessons and buys a dilapidated ice-cream truck for the journey.

I also like superhero movies my favorite was Spider-man 1 and 2 because of the action and adventure. I also hope The Punisher War zone is a lot better than the original.

I do like FAMILY GUY, SOUTHPARK and THE SIMPSONS. But the Zohan is different... it mocks things that shouldn't be mocked

I tried using the Vidincs link but it was to hard to find the Zohan movie. I did a search with the full name of the movie and the name did not came out in the page. So this one is NO GOOD.

And lastly the Free TV Video is NO GOOD. I tried to watch a South Park episode but I was unable to. When the video player opened in a new window, I clicked on the play button. After that the following pages opened at the same time: Chat and talk.net, Adult Sex Finder, then something called #1 Adult WebCam service.

So basically ALL of those links are useless and don't work for ME.

Fight Club (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight_Club_%28film%29) (1999)

Fight Club was considered one of the most controversial and talked-about films of 1999. The film has been perceived as the forerunner of a new mood in American political life. Like other 1999 films Magnolia, Being John Malkovich, and Three Kings, Fight Club has been recognized as an innovator in cinematic form and style due to its exploitation of new developments in film-making technology. Following its initial release, Fight Club grew in popularity via word of mouth, and the positive reception of the DVD established it as a cult film that Newsweek conjectured would enjoy "perennial" fame. The success of the film has also propelled the novel's author Chuck Palahniuk to global renown.

A Sound of Thunder is a 2005 film directed by Peter Hyams, which is loosely based on the short story of the same name by Ray Bradbury.

The movie was originally planned for a 2002 release. However, flooding in Prague (where the movie was shot) and other financial difficulties--including the bankruptcy of the original production company during post-production--resulted in a delayed release.

The film received overwhelmingly negative critical reviews. Common complaints against the film included its poor special effects, uninvolved performances, scientific errors, Ben Kingsley's hair, and lack of respect for its source material. As a result of poor reviews and lack of promotion, the film--which was estimated to have cost $52 million--grossed less than $8 million in worldwide release.

Plot

According to the film, the established rules of time travel are:

Don't change anything in the past.
Don't leave anything behind.
Don't bring anything back.

These rules were established by a businessman who has recently developed a service, based around a newly invented time machine, which offers prehistoric safari trips to wealthy hunters. Travis Ryer has been trained to lead these safaris. On one of these time-safaris, the guides are escorting two men along a path. They are attacked by an Allosaurus and the leader's gun fails, so the allosaurus does not die when it was scheduled to do so--thus breaking one of the rules of time travel.

Panicked by the attack, one of the explorers steps off the path in an attempt to ensure his own safety. The guides exchange gun parts with another gun, kill the allosaurus and return through the time portal. Unseen to the explorers, a muddy footprint has been left on the path, indicating that someone has stepped off of it.

On the next expedition, Ryer is taking two other hunters on the time travel safari. As they wait for the Allosaurus to arrive, Ryer checks his watch, realizes it's late and that the Allosaurus should've already arrived. Instead, they find it has already died. Furthermore, the volcano, which erupts after the explorers return to the future, is already in the process of erupting, and they are forced to return to the present.

The time safari business calls on Sonia Rand, who invented the time travel machine, but she refuses to help anyone. Rand does explain that since they altered something in the past, the future will proceed to change in a series of "time waves." She says that the changes can't all happen at once, and that they will proceed in order of evolution: first, everything will reset, then the vegetation will change, then wildlife, and finally humans.

The business attempts to send Ryer back to fix the past, but a time wave hits and all the electricity goes out. Ryer and Rand must determine what caused the change before he can fix the past. They discover that a butterfly was stepped on during one trip into the past, and it critically altered the evolutionary chain. Another time wave hits just before they reach the portal and they must continue on foot. They reach the portal, but it doesn't work, so they decide to try to reach the university where there is a particle accelerator which can be modified with software to function like a time machine,TAMI's hardrive is needed, therefore they salvage it.

They manage to reach the university, but various creatures(such as a monster that looks like a cross between a dinosaur and a baboon) attacks the group, eventually only Ryer and Rand are still alive. Rand manages to send Ryer back 65,000,001 years to dodge the time waves, then he is sent forward one year to the point when the original explorers traveled into the past. In the present, the final time wave hits and Rand is turned into a fishlike being. Meanwhile, Ryer tells the explorers about everything that will happen in the future. He stops the explorer from stepping off the path and killing the butterfly, and thus the future is saved.

Back in the present, Ryer is shown the video of the alternate Ryer who saved the future. He requests that they shut down the time portal to stop such an occurrence from ever happening again.

Wild Wild West (1999) is a science fiction action-comedy film directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, starring Will Smith, Kevin Kline (in two roles, Artemus Gordon and President Ulysses S. Grant), Kenneth Branagh and Salma Hayek.

In the spirit of the original TV series, the film features highly advanced steampunk technology and many bizarre mechanical inventions, including innumerable inventions of the mechanological geniuses Artemus Gordon and Arliss Loveless, including nitroglycerine-powered penny-farthing bicycles, spring-loaded notebooks, bulletproof chainmail, flying machines, steam tanks, and Loveless's giant mechanical spider.

Plot
The film is set in 1869 during the Reconstruction Era and presidency of Ulysses S. Grant. The film opens in a Louisiana forest, where a man, later revealed to be Thaddeus J. Morton, is running away from a lethal flying disk. Morton keeps running until it catches him and decapitates him. Soon after, a man stands over his head with the disk, says, "And they say you scientists are supposed to be smart" and takes the disk out of the ground.

After the opening credits, viewer go to a railroad water station in Morgan, West Virginia. Trigger-happy Captain Jim West (Will Smith), one of the main protagonists, is hiding in the water tower, spying on the actions of a group of ex-Confederate soldiers working under General "Bloodbath" McGrath, a personal rival of West's. Following a runaway ride on a wagon filled with bottles of nitroglycerin, West arrives at a saloon where General McGrath and his rag-tag band of rebel soldiers are enjoying a raucous party. McGrath, whose head is fitted with a small swiveling trumpet to replace a missing ear, is seduced by an unlikely prostitute who, having seen McGrath's men carrying a man out of the building, attempts to hypnotize the general and learn his plans for the kidnapped man.

West breaks in and attempts to kill McGrath, but he is stopped by the prostitute, allowing McGrath to escape. West fights off a number of McGrath's men and finds himself in a Mexican standoff with the prostitute, who unmasks his disguise to reveal himself as the second protagonist; gadget-obsessed master of disguise U.S. Marshal Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline). The two escape from the saloon as the wagon-load of nitroglycerin tumbles down a nearby slope, destroying the building.

In Washington, D.C., West and Gordon meet at the White House with President Grant, who informs them of the disappearance of America's key scientists. Grant charges the two with finding the scientists within one week, before he inaugurates the first transcontinental railroad at Promontory, Utah.

American Pie is a 1999 teen comedy film directed by Paul Weitz and Chris Weitz and written by Adam Herz. This was the first film directed by the Weitz brothers and the first of the American Pie Presents series. The movie is centered on four boys who make a pact to lose their virginity by their high school graduation, and their subsequent adventures. As the theatrical poster implies, the title of the movie refers to a scene in the film in which the lead character is caught masturbating with a pie after earlier being told that "third base" feels "like warm apple pie". It was a box-office hit and spawned two direct sequels: American Pie 2 in 2001, American Wedding in 2003. Singer Don McLean was credited for allowing the name of his hit song to be used as the title.

This film ranked number 49 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies", and ranked number 22 on Entertainment Weekly's list of the 50 Best High School Movies. In 2000, readers of Total Film magazine voted American Pie the 6th greatest comedy film of all time.

Since the conclusion of the American Pie trilogy, featuring the courtship and marriage of Jim Levenstein and Michelle Flaherty, the American Pie name has gone on to be used as an entity similar to National Lampoon. The American Pie entity has spawned three spin-off films: American Pie Presents: Band Camp, which was a direct to video release in 2005, and American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile was released on DVD in December 2006. The latest film, American Pie Presents: Beta House was released in 2007.

Here are some quotes from the movie:

1) Finch: God bless the Internet.

2) Jim: Guys, uh, what exactly does third base feel like?
Kevin: You want to take this one?
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Like warm apple pie.
Jim: Yeah?
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Yeah.
Jim: Apple pie, huh?
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Uh huh.
Jim: McDonald's or homemade?

3) Jim: She's gone! Oh my God, she used me. I was used. I was used! Cool!

4) Jim: Did you see 'The Little Mermaid' on TV yesterday? Ariel, she's so hot!

5) Kevin: [Stifler is vomiting in a toilet] Hey, Stifler, how's the "Pale Ale"?
Steve Stifler: [vomiting] 0_0 you!

American Wedding (also known as American Pie: The Wedding outside of America or American Pie 3) is a 2003 sequel to the comedy films American Pie (1999) and American Pie 2 (2001) it is the third film in the American Pie Presents series. It was written by Adam Herz and directed by Jesse Dylan. The story has the friends from the first two films getting together again, this time to celebrate the wedding of Jim and Michelle.

The film was released in the United States on August 1, 2003, and grossed $104 million in the USA and $123 million overseas on a budget of $55 million. The film is notable for the absences of several of its supporting characters from the first two films, including: Oz, Sherman, Heather, Vicky, Nadia, and Jessica. This is because the creators of the previous movies noted it was near impossible to create interesting story lines for all of the main characters, exception being the character Oz, who was originally going to be included, but was written out due to scheduling conflicts. It is also the first (and only) film in the series to be shot in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.

Woh! Cool.. Does that mean you are a celebrity in the small town of Lynchburg?
Not exactly, but my girlfriend was able to spot me for the two seconds that I was walking down the sidewalk 50 feet across the street from the cafe scene with Dianne Keaton and Michael Murphy. I had just walked out of the Museum of Natural History and had no idea they were filming until I crossed the street and saw the camera crew. I didn't know what film it was until a year later when I saw it at the theater and recognized myself. I had a weird Deja Vu experience during that scene and the more I thought about it I realized that I had been in that exact spot in New York while they were filming.

I also met and stayed with Don 'The Dragon' Wilson (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0933310/) for 12 days while I was in LA during the mid-80's. I videotaped his boxing sparring sessions when he decided to switch from kickboxing to straight boxing. Later he got a small recurring role on 'General Hospital', which eventually led to a film deal. His best known role was as a gang leader in 'Batman Forever', but he was the star of the 'Bloodfist' series, which had seven sequels. That's about it for my 'brushes with greatness'.

American Pie Presents: Band Camp is a 2005 direct-to-video spinoff to the American Pie trilogy of films and the first film in the American Pie Presents series. It was directed by Steve Rash and written by Brad Riddell. The film centers on Matt Stifler (played by Eli Marienthal in the original films), younger brother of Steve Stifler. In this film, Matt (now played by Tad Hilgenbrink) is sent to the infamous band camp, where he meets a young woman and is compelled to change his ways.

It was released on DVD in the UK on October 31, 2005 and in the U.S. on December 26, 2005.

Plot
The movie focuses on Matt Stifler, the younger brother of Steve Stifler from the previous American Pie films. Matt is eager to enter the family business of making films, so he can prove to his older brother that he is "up to the standards of the Stifmeister." Stifler and his friends play a prank on the band students during the seniors' graduation ceremony by spraying pepper spray on the mouthpieces of the band's instruments. Matt narrowly escapes getting caught and stows the can of pepper spray in his front pocket, which subsequently leaks onto his genitals. The band members begin to play "Pomp and Circumstance," only to become too irritated by the pepper spray to continue. During the commotion, one of the students trips and pulls down the back curtain, which reveals Matt, who is washing his pepper spray soaked genitals in a drinking fountain, in front of the whole school.

Elyse demands that Stifler be punished for ruining their performance, stating that he always gets away with his pranks because he is the school's star football player. The school's guidance counselor Chuck Sherman ("The Sherminator") decides that a worthwhile punishment would be for Stifler to attend band camp, in the hopes that he would make friends with the bandies and not follow in the footsteps of his much-hated brother. When first arriving, Matt is very disrespectful to the rules and also everyone at Tall Oaks and gets his band group in trouble. Mr Levenstein recommends that he try to fit in and earn the band's trust, this inspires Matt to be much more respectful and humble towards the band, but is only doing it to film them. Matt also finds out that his dorky roommate Ernie has extensive knowledge with spy cameras and technology, so Matt agrees to let him help with the filming, making his first friend at Tall Oaks. As Matt "is earning the band's trust" he gets into a big confrontation with their rival band leader, Brandon and even going as far as to accepting a duel challenge made by him, but having no idea what a duel is.

But as fellow card counter, Jill Taylor, predicts, Ben becomes corrupted by greed and his arrogance at winning which lets his feelings get in the way, and it also puts Professor Rosa, as well as the group, on the radar of a brutal casino security enforcer, named Cole Williams, who holds a personal grudge of some kind against Rosa which threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned.

American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile is a 2006 comedy film released directly to DVD on December 19, 2006. After the commercial success of the direct-to-DVD production, American Pie Presents: Band Camp, Universal Studios Home Entertainment decided to produce another sequel to the American Pie film. This film is the second in the American Pie Presents series, and fifth in the overall American Pie series.

The Naked Mile of the title refers to a real event that was carried out annually by students of the University of Michigan until 2004. University of Michigan's naked mile traditionally occurred on the last day of classes each school year. The participants, mostly senior students, would run or bike a pre-designed course through campus while partially or entirely nude. The last "Naked Mile" was in 2004 after the University worked hard to end the tradition through arrests and threats to students who ran. Participation in the event also reportedly suffered as it attracted the attention of internet pornography operations.

Pulp Fiction (1994) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110912/)

"Pulp Fiction" is one of those roller-coasters of a movie. It is both a joy and a trial to sit through. Amazingly original and unforgettable, Quentin Tarantino's trash masterpiece never gets old or seem outdated. It put a face on American independent film making in 1994. Miramax had been around since the 1970s and no one had heard of it before this film. Studios went into a panic when this film came out because they knew it would be an amazing hit. Of course it was. Independent film making became the rage and hit its peak in 1996 when four of the five nominated Best Picture films were from independent studios. The screenplay and direction by Tarantino are quite amazing, but the cast makes the film work. John Travolta (Oscar nominated) re-invented his career with this film. Bruce Willis cemented his celebrity. Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman (both Oscar nominees) became marketable superstars. Others who make appearances include: Ving Rhames, Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette, Steve Buscemi, Frank Whaley, Harvey Keitel, and of course Quentin Tarantino himself. They all leave lasting impressions as well. Samuel L. Jackson stood out the most to me, his lack of substantial screen time may have cost him the Oscar. Just an amazing accomplishment, all involved deserve recognition. Easily 5 stars out of 5.

American Pie Presents: Beta House is a 2007 comedy film that was shot in Toronto and Hamilton (some scenes at McMaster University), Ontario. This film is the third in the American Pie Presents series, and sixth in the overall American Pie series.

Plot
"Beta House" reunites most of the The Naked Mile cast and places them in the college setting, working to defend Dwight Stifler's Beta Delta Xi (ΒΔΞ) Fraternity against rival fraternity Epsilon Sigma Kappa (GΕΣΚ). While defending the house, Erik Stifler's new love, Ashley (Meghan Heffern), feels that the fraternity is nothing but trouble.

"Beta House" picks up where the Naked Mile left off. Erik and Cooze are attending their first year at college, and Dwight Stifler brings the boys into the Beta fraternity. In this film Erik is no longer with Tracy, his girlfriend in the last film, she has left him for Trent and is not in the film. The boys go through a long list of trials to get into the Beta fraternity. They end up being challenged by the GEEKs for their house to end their feud once and for all. Dwight wants to put an end to the Geeks who keep messing with the Beta traditions. In the end the Beta house beats the GEEKs and take their mansion house making them the dominant house once again. Mr. Levenstein is Dwight's lawyer and a former Beta, so he makes his appearance in the film.

Movies are not meant to be realistic and follow the natural rules of science. But some movies take this to another level. Click the link below to see a Yahoo! article about this.

Top 10 Scientifically Inaccurate Movies (http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/collections/gallery/903/)

If movies were completely scientifically accurate, they'd probably be as interesting as a Physics 101 lecture. In real life, there are no explosions in space, gas usually doesn't explode from a lit cigarette, and Bruce Willis/Jackie Chan/Will Smith would most likely be in a coma after getting kicked in the head. Some movies, though, put science front and center in the story and more often than not the science proves to be head-slappingly bad. Here are some of the worst offenders.

The Transporter is a American action / crime movie directed by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen. Luc Besson was inspired by BMW Films' "The Hire" series to create this movie. It was released in France on October 2, 2002 and in the United States on October 11, 2002. The Transporter stars Jason Statham as Frank Martin and Shu Qi as Lai Kwai. This is the first film in the series; it is followed by Transporter 2 and Transporter 3, which is to be released in 2009.

Plot
The film begins with Frank Martin (Statham), in his black BMW E38 735iL, alone in a parking garage, he proceeds to start his car and drive to the site of his deal. Martin arrives at a building as four armed, masked men emerge, carrying bags filled with money. The four men get into the car; however, Martin refuses to start the car because they have changed the deal, in which it was agreed that there would be only three men. The leader of the men threatens Martin, but due to Martin's car being coded, there is no other option but to shoot one of the men and push him out of the car. A lengthy car chase follows in which Martin's driving skill allows escape from the chasing police cars. At the end of the chase the men offer Martin more money to drive them further, but their offer is refused because "that was not the deal."

Gangs of New York (2002) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217505/)

In 1846, as waves of Irish immigrants poured into the New York neighborhood of Five Points, a number of citizens of British and Dutch heritage who were born in the United States began making an open display of their resentment toward the new arrivals. William Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis), better known as "Bill the Butcher" for his deadly skill with a knife, bands his fellow "Native Americans" into a gang to take on the Irish immigrants; the immigrants in turn form a gang of their own, "The Dead Rabbits," organized by Priest Vallon (Liam Neeson). After an especially bloody clash between the Natives and the Rabbits leaves Vallon dead, his son goes missing; the boy ends up in a brutal reform school before returning to the Five Points in 1862 as Amsterdam (Leonardo DiCaprio). Now a strapping adult who has learned how to fight, Amsterdam has come to seek vengeance against Bill the Butcher, whose underworld control of the Five Points through violence and intimidation dovetails with the open corruption of New York politician "Boss" Tweed (Jim Broadbent). Amsterdam gradually penetrates Bill the Butcher's inner circle, and he soon becomes his trusted assistant. Amsterdam also finds himself falling for Jenny Everdeane (Cameron Diaz), a beautiful but street-smart thief who was once involved with Bill. Amsterdam is learning a great deal from Bill, but before he can turn the tables on the man who killed his father, Amsterdam's true identity is exposed, even though he has concealed it from nearly everyone, including Jenny.

Gangs of New York won the Golden Globe Award of Best Director - Motion Picture for Martin Scorsese and Best Original Song for the song "The Hands That Built America" by U2. Daniel Day-Lewis won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role & the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. It was nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. However, the film was largely overshadowed by Chicago, which took half of the awards for which Gangs of New York was nominated.

Gladiator (2000) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172495/)

In Gladiator, victorious general Maximus Decimus Meridias Russell Crowe) has been named keeper of Rome and its empire by dying emperor Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris), so that rule might pass from the Caesars back to the people and Senate. Marcus' neglected and power-hungry son, Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), has other ideas, however. Escaping an ordered execution, Maximus hurries back to his home in Spain, too late to save his wife and son from the same order. Taken into slavery and trained as a gladiator by Proximo, Maximus lives only that he might someday take his revenge and fulfill the dying wish of his emperor. The time soon comes when Proximo's troupe is called to Rome to participate in a marathon of gladiator games held at the behest of the new emperor, Commodus. Once in Rome, Maximus wastes no time in making his presence known, and is soon involved in a plot to overthrow the emperor with his former-love Lucilla, Commodus' sister, after whom he lusts, and also the widowed mother of Lucius, heir to the empire after his uncle, and democratic-minded senator, Gracchus.

My Favorite movie is titled," Lost & Delirious". It's about the two teenage girls engaged in a love affair at an all girls school. It's touching but has a sad ending.
