Lightspeed (http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/index.html) has a well laid out member page, with easy access to information. You’ll be able to check on available surveys, your account information etc. with just a click. They pay with a point system (75 to 1000 points per survey) with 1150 points = $10. They are very upfront about what you will receive in terms of rewards.
I have gotten several surveys a week from the beginning. I haven’t qualified for all of them, but I have accumulated about 1500 points so far without spending too much time on it.
As on many of the survey sites, you’ll find member profiles to take so that they can better match you up with available surveys. It’s important to take those to get your demographics in the system. You’ll find a column for Current surveys, which pays point, and mini-polls and quick match surveys, which enter you into a sweepstakes. You can pick and choose what you want to do.

I finally cashed out for $10 with 1150 points since I joined on March 2, 2008. Most people love Lightspeed and include them in their Top Ten, but I am not part of their key demographic, I suppose. :(

They are #8 (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13&postcount=3) in my rankings.
But they will jump big time this month because they sent me a copy of Works to review and gave me 2000 points for the follow up survey.

I currently have total of 5610 points in my Lightspeed account. I have made a total of 7910 since I joined their panel on November of last year. I have redeemed 2300 for $20 PayPal cash. I will soon request the remaining points for $40. As you can see, Lightspeed has been really a good survey site for me.

I've been with Lightspeed for a couple of months. I haven't earned many points but that's mainly my fault. They've sent me plenty of surveys but they're always 30 minutes long and I just never get around to completing them. I do like the company, however.

This is one of my favorite survey sites. I had mostly a positive experience using these sites except for one interactive survey I attempted to take. Well now I’m going to comment on a unique survey:
Last December I took a 20 or 30 minutes survey about beverages. I got 1000 points for completing it and was also invited to participate in a 2-week survey where I was sent a Zire Palm Pilot to record all the beverages I consumed. I would get 60 dollars if I returned the material they sent and if my answers were chosen.
Well to my surprise I got $10 of the $60 they promised when I received the package with the Palm Pilot. So I recorded all the beverages I consumed with the little pen for two entire weeks. Then on the 15th day, which was December 25, I took a short survey in the Palm. After that I mailed all the materials in a FedEx bag they sent me. Then the long waiting game began.
Then I finally got a letter from them in February. I was mad when I read this part of the letter:
“Upon further review of the palm that was assigned to you, our records indicate that you did not qualify for the final incentive due to one or more of the
following reasons”
They then listed several excuses why I did not get the $50 dollars I was entitled to. That’s a whole lot of BS!!!
Oh well, at least I got $10 dollars for my effort. I should have called them to ask why I didn’t receive the full incentive, but I was too lazy to do that and too busy with other paid surveys.
Overall, this unique survey was very different than any other survey I have taken and I did learn something new about the research process. This experience was somewhat bad because I didn’t get the $60, but it did make me more excited about taking other survey that paid like this one.

That's great maplaver, 1000 points is a lot! I think the most points I've earned with one survey is 500. I like lightspeed. I have redeemed $15 since joining. I had a problem with one of their surveys. I contacted Lauren but never got a response. I think this is quite common for them to not replies to emails. Other than the occasional technical problem and lack of email support, this is a good panel. And you can't beat paypal payments.

Yesterday I got a email survey invite while I was taking a 75 point Lightspeed survey. I completed the 75 point survey but I did not get to the new survey because I didn't have enough time. Today I saw the email invite and it said the following:
Time: 5 minutes
Lightspeed Points: 35 points
I have taken a survey like this before and it was an invation and screener to a interactive survey hosted by Invoke Solution. I'm 100% sure that every survey that says "5 minutes" and "35 points", will always be interactive survey that most of the time pay 1000 points. I recommend you take these kinds of survey AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because if you don't then the survey will most likely be closed. That's what happen to me when I logged in on my account today.

Hi Eddie,
I also cashed out on the 13th and was wondering why I haven't received my paypal money yet either. Last time I received my cashout in one day. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one not getting their payout. Maybe for some reason they just have some kind of delay. I will wait a few days too and then I will contact them also. I just recently received an invite to an affiliate panel through one of Lightspeed's screening surveys yesterday. The reward was 2000 points, but I have no idea whether I successfully completed the screening or not since the invitation is still there, although I know that I am fully registered on the affiliate site through it with no hitches.
Has anyone else received this invite, and if so, have you been rewarded yet?
In other news, I received (rare) and successfully completed (very rare) a 300 point survey that was surprisingly short (extremely rare) today. I'm hoping I get the 2000 points as well, because now that would just be a darn feel-good moment, you know? :)
I'm also a bit miffed that the new semester left me with little time to take several of Lightspeed's previous surveys over the past two weeks. I'm sure I might have qualified for quite a few of them.

Yes you are allowed to give out the #, but don't give out the survey link. Some panels like Test Spin don't like it when you post their survey links on forums like this one. Also don't give out information if the survey is about new product that required you to keep the product Confidential.

Dear Panelist,
We apologize for the delay in responding to your issues. Please be aware that all point redemption issues should be sent to Perks, the company that handles all of our prizes.
You can send your issue to them by doing the following:
Sign in at our website: http://us.lightspeedpanel.com
click on the Lightspeed Points Account link at the top
click on the REDEEM button and this will take you to the Perks Redemption Page
From here you will need to click on the CONTACT US button at the top right
This page has a Contact Form that sends your issue straight to Perks
If you have a problem with not receiving an Amazon Gift Certificate you can typically get the discount code from the Perks website by doing the following:
Sign in at our website: http://us.lightspeedpanel.com
click on the Lightspeed Points Account link at the top
click on the REDEEM button and this will take you to the Perks Redemption Page
From here you will need to click on the REWARDS ACCOUNT button at the top
This page has records for all of the prizes you have requested
Click on the link in the Reference Column that corresponds with the date you redeemed your points
Then click on VIEW eCERT on the left to get your code or a status on the code
Perks handles all of our prize redemptions and sending your issue directly to them is much faster and more effective than sending your issue to us. They can also cancel orders and return your points back to you. Please note that they cannot help you with survey related issues.
I hope this information is helpful; please let me know if you need any clarification.
Sincerely,
Lauren

Oh Paddysmum,
I don't think you should have any problem with that payout. I think the best way to go for payout it always by Paypal - then we don't have to worry about getting our Amazon Gift Ctfs. I'm sure glad I didn't go that route for any of my payouts. I've always received all mine and real fast too.

I have still received no reply from Lauren at Lightspeed Rewards (lauren@us.lightspeedpanel.com) concerning the two $5 PayPal redemptions that I never received. From their FAQs:
I redeemed my Lightspeed Points for an Instant Reward e-Certificate or Paypal. When will I receive my reward?
Most e-certificates will be received within 24 to 48 hours. If certificates are unavailable, your order will remain pending until the certificate can be fulfilled. For Paypal redemptions, Paypal will send you an email within 5 - 7 business days that includes a link along with information regarding your funds.
This is what you read after sending an email via the Lightspeed site to Lauren:
Thank you for your email; it will be sent to Lauren. The Lightspeed Panel Support team will try to respond to all emails in a timely manner. However, please be aware that in some instances (ie. point redemption, reward redemption, etc.) you may not receive a response from us but your issue will be resolved.

Wow - Something surely isn't right Lee. Maybe for some reason they sent it to a wrong paypal address. Since you received payments before, this sure seems weird.
I also don't like their customer service either, you try to write to them and never get a response. That is so frustrating !! :o

I checked to make certain that Lightspeed account had correct PayPal email address, since I use a different gmail for PayPal than the one where I receive my incentives, but I have also been receiving payments reguarly in the past to the exact same PayPal account address, so I doubt that is the problem. How long does it take for Lauren to respond when you send an email inquiry from the online Lightspeed Contact Us form?

Lee, to tell you the truth I've Never gotten a response back from any of my emails. I've totally given up and hope I don't have any more problems with them. I think that would be the last straw if I was to get an incentive and didn't receive it. I've had points promised to me in a few days to a week after doing a survey and I've Never gotten them. So that is also like taking money from my pocket.
Their customer service is not the greatest and I know others are having the same issues with trying to get a reply back from them. I've had No problems with receiving any payments and if I ever did, I seriously would have to think about continuing with doing any further surveys from Lightspeed. I like a survey site to be able to at least email them and get a response in a day or too, not None at All !!
I'm sure Lee it's probably a problem on their end with you not receiving your incentives, but as to how you can get a response I just don't know.

I'm having the same problem with Lightspeed. I have 2 incentives redeemed through PayPal in June that have yet to be posted to my account, and all emails go unanswered. I'm not going to unsubscribe, but they've moved FAR down my list. Too bad, up until this point they were one of my favorites--interesting surveys, quick payouts. Maybe they're having financial issues, but i plan on sending emails every couple of days until they're sick of me...

I like LightSpeed. The site is well designed and the surveys interesting. However, I do not qualify for many of their surveys. I'm afraid what might be occurs on other sites as well.
As a female, age 48, married, not working, and no children I frequently disqualify as my demographics are Redundant.
I have been doing on line survery since 2005.
One of the demogratic catories stump me. I do not work outside the home for pay but I do work but I am not a traditional homemaker. I have no chldren and I spend my time at home as an unpaid volunteer. I pay to have my house cleaned when I need it but I do have strong opinions about cleaning products and prices. Amy I a homemaker?
The reason I do not wprk for pay is relatesd to a medical condition that prevents me from being reliable with deadlines.. Does this mean I'm unemployed, looking for work or, maybe since I receive a disability benefits, I'm retired!
Any suggestions?

24. LightSpeed $40 (575 = $5 po) (PayPal) (product trials) (2008-04-02) ($30 rec'd) ($10 req'd)
I have not had as much luck with Lightspeed as others have reported above; however, they are still ranked 24nd on my list of 35 top paid survey sites, so they are definitely worthwhile. I only receive a few survey invitations per week and usually don’t qualify for most, but they are worth from 75 to 1000 points. 575 points equals a $5 PayPal incentive. They also offer $5 Amazon gift cards for 550 points, which I occasionally choose. You receive entries into the $5000 Lightspeed sweepstakes, but I rarely consider sweepstakes when deciding which survey sites are best. Sweepstakes are just a way to attract new members and keep old members hanging on when the frequency of and compensation for surveys is poor. Obviously, customer service is deficient, as I have now experienced firsthand after redeeming Lightspeed points for two $5 Amazon gift certificates, neither of which I ever received. Customer has not replied to any of my several emails for assistance. I will be unsubscribing soon from this below-par survey site.

Although I have already been paid now, Lightspeed was kind enough to respond AGAIN to one of the three emails I had sent over the past two months yesterday.
Greetings Lee,
Thank you for contacting us. Per the FAQS, all orders for PayPal disbursements are directly linked to the e-mail address listed in your profile at the time you place your order. If you link the e-mail address you use in your LightSpeed account to your current PayPal account, this problem will be resolved and all future disbursements will be added directly to your current PayPal account. Please follow these steps to have the email address listed in your LightSpeed account associated with your current PayPal account:
1) LOGIN to your PayPal account
2) Select the EDIT PROFILE link displayed next to your email address in the Personal Account Overview
3) SELECT the EMAIL link
4) SELECT the ADD button
5) ENTER the email address you wish to associate to your PayPal account
6) SELECT the SAVE button
7) SELECT the email address you just added (this email address does not have to be the Primary on the account)
8) SELECT the CONFIRM button to confirm the email according to PayPal instructions and requirements
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional inquiries.

Since June, I have received Opinion Survey #24000 6 different times and each time I completed the survey, I received this message:
Thank you for answering these questions. Unfortunately you do not meet the criteria we are looking for to continue with the rest of the survey. However, you will still be awarded with 150 Lightspeed Points.
To ensure you receive your entries you must click on the 'Next' button to be taken back to the Lightspeed Consumer Panel site
According to that statement, I should have received 150 point even if I was disqualified. Well that must be some kind of mistake since I ever get points for this survey. I think am not the only one who receives this survey multiple time because the survey look like a OTX type survey where the survey topic dependents on your answers...

I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else here yet, but for the past two days every time I try to login to Lightspeed my browser freezes. I mean every single time (I've tried at least five times already). Which is pretty inconvenient since the site has chosen now of all times to keep sending me surveys everyday ): . With the little I've read through this thread so far, I'm assuming e-mailing for help on this just isn't going to cut it, is it...?

Just received this news in my e-mail this afternoon:
MySurvey.com & Lightspeed Join Forces
In the June 2009 Edition of Opinion Matters we let you know that the parent company of MySurvey.com became part of WPP's information, insight and consultancy division, The Kantar Group. Another very similar online panel, Lightspeed Consumer Panel, is also a part of The Kantar Group. Because MySurvey.com and LightspeedPanel.com are owned by the same company, we are able to join forces to make your membership a more rewarding experience. Watch for exciting changes over the next few months, including more ways to share your opinions through surveys from both MySurvey.com and Lightspeedpanel.com

I'm Sorry to hear that Maplaver. :o
I haven't had any problems but I'm getting sick of doing their surveys. They seem so long and the pay isn't all that great either. I hate those surveys they have that plays a video and then we have to explain over and over what it's about. What a Pain !!! :(

I hope Lightspeed is better able to respond to my emails requesting help with the two $5 PayPal redemptions that I never received. I have just about lost hope with LightSpeed, but I love MySurvey.com.

More mergers! Pretty soon there will only be a few different survey sites. Hopefully, this is for the better. Only time will tell.

Yeah i don't like all these Mergers. I have noticed over the last week or so there has been a bit of a slowdown with surveys as well. Hopefully they have nothing to do with that.

No, I don't think it's nothing to do with that, I think it's just the time of the year. I remember last year being slow like this too. Good for Me because then I have time to do my Taxes. LOL:)

I hope they don't merge also. I bet some kind of way the cashouts will be higher and the points given smaller. Please let me be wrong. Double:mad:

The Recession has caused people to spend less money and with less spending their is less need for as many different survey companies, thus the mergers. I am sure the amount of surveys will stay the same. You just won't be taking them from as many different sites. I prefer the simplicity, but I am not happy when Greenfield goes from offering 50 cent surveys to offering 30 cent surveys. I never cared much for them anyway.
