The king of the surveys that pay cash for points has to be Opinion Outpost (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/links.php?id=17). I have earned 586 points since joining in early February 2008 and that may not sound like much until you realize that every 10 points equals $1.00. You can redeem points for cash when you have a minimum of 50 points, which equals $5. I have earned $58.60 and have received $39.70 so far. Most surveys take less than 30 minutes to complete and you should receive several every week. Here are the simple instructions provided by your friendly cowgirl at OpinionOutpost.

Step 1: e-mail invitation

Once you become an Opinion Outpost member, you will be randomly selected to participate in surveys. Survey invitations will be sent to you by e-mail as well as accessible in the members section of the website.

Step 2: Take survey

You can choose which surveys you would like to participate in. Generally, these surveys will ask some preliminary questions to see if you qualify to take the survey. Most of the surveys take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. Your answers will be kept strictly confidential and your information will never be used for anything other than survey research.

Step 3: Earn rewards

As nice as it is to have your opinions used to help leading firms and companies make more effective decisions about the products and services you use every day, we also appreciate your willingness to share them. As an extra thank you for participating in surveys, you earn Opinion Points for each survey you complete. The number of Opinion Points possible will be indicated for each survey. Upon completion of the survey, you can check your point balance by logging into the members section of the Opinion Outpost website. Opinion Points are redeemable for cash. 10 Opinion Points are equivalent to $1. When you want to redeem your points, you simply click on a button on your account page to request payment. A check will be sent to you within 6-8 weeks.

The Opinion Points program is our way of thanking you for your participation. Members may view their current Opinion Points totals by logging into their account online. Although we make every effort to ensure accounts are credited correctly, it's the member's responsibility to verify Opinion Points have been credited properly. Please notify us about any discrepancies with your Opinion Point totals (contact us).

Opinion Points may only be redeemed or spent as Opinion Outpost authorizes. Opinion Points are currently redeemable for cash at a ratio of 10 points to one dollar (10 Opinion Points = $1). Opinion Outpost reserves the right to modify or change this ratio at anytime without notice. As mentioned, Opinion Points are not transferable nor are they considered to be property and therefore cannot be sold, transferred, or assigned to another member or individual under any circumstances.

Earning Opinion Points. The number of Opinion Points possible will be displayed with each survey invitation or on the opening page to the survey. You will earn Opinion Points for each survey you qualify to complete. Opinion Points will be credited to the member's account (as long as the member's account is in good standing with Opinion Outpost) generally a few minutes after completion of a survey. Some surveys may require follow-ups or have other specifications that require us to not award Opinion Points for up to 4-8 weeks.

Redeeming Opinion Points. Opinion Points may be redeemed for cash. You must have earned at least 50 Opinion Points before you will be able to redeem your Opinion Points. The minimum redemption amount is 50 Opinion Points per transaction. As stated above Opinion Points may not be combined with other member accounts for redemption.

Expiration of Opinion Points. As long as you are an active member of opinionoutpost.com in good standing your Opinion Points will not expire. To be an active member means you attempt to qualify and complete at least one (1) survey for the last twenty five (25) consecutive survey invitations. Once you become an inactive member Opinion Points expire immediately and without notice. Expired Opinion Points are void, have no value and may not be assigned nor transferred.

OpinionOutpost is #1 in my current rankings (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1).

They consistently give the best paying surveys at the moment. Even if I fail to qualify, there are many more that I do qualify for. Redeemed check comes quickly. Really no complaints.

However I hope I didn't mess myself up. I am changing all my survey sites to a new email address after reading Lapis Lee's suggestions, and I haven't received OO's confirmation email yet. I hope I dont miss out on any surveys.

How many survey invites do you get from Opinion Outpost?

Every day I receive at least one email survey from them. On 6/11 I got a total of 5 survey invites from them. I qualified for 3 of those surveys. I qualify for at least 45% of all the survey they send me.

It seems like I NEVER qualify for their surveys. Either I don't qualify or the quota has been filled. I don't even know how many points I have with them, probably no more than 20 or so. I'm not too impressed with them but it seems like they treat you all very well!

I know how you feel! When I first joined this survey panel, the same thing that you're experiencing happened to me. After a while of being a member it gets better and better!

I love Opinion Outpost! They are a solid #2 on my Sites That Pay! (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1&postcount=1) with $78.80 in earnings so far. I have another check on its way right now for $11.70 and $8.50 waiting to be redeemed!

other thing to know about them is if you wait to take their surveys, there is a good chance that the quotas will be filled. They pay so well that people jump on those. Check your email several times during the day and take their surveys right away.

That doesn't only appply to Opinion Post. Survey Spot, MyView, and others like Pinecone Research also have quotas that get filled quickly. It is on first come first serve that they pay for completed survey. And yes checking your email is good but sometimes that is not enough.

Opinion Outpost is one of the best paying sites out there. I was getting quite a few surveys until quite recently when i suddently stopped receiving invitations for about a month or so. I contacted them to find out why and suddenly I was getting surveys again.

Opinion outpost is my favorite survey site as of yet. It is the first one I have made over $100. Alot of their surveys I don't qualify for but I get at least one survey a week. I do their surveys first because they often achieve quotas quickly.

Opinion Outpost is one of the best websites to join if you want to make money by taking online survey. I have NEVER had any problems with them expect when they didn't sent me surveys for almost three months. But that was quickly solved when I sent them a message.

Here is a complaint can be seen on Survey Police website:

Case #: 457 Plaintiff: Brent Submitted: May 28, 2008 Last Updated: June 02, 2008
In the past month I have calculated that $** worth of points have not been properly awarded to my account.
On May 10 I completed a $* survey which gave me a "Code 4" error at the end -- so those points were not awarded to my account. (I also informed them of this).
On May 13 I completed a $** survey but that was also not awarded to my account. (I informed them of this).
And finally, on May 23 I completed a $**survey (which I was supposed to get via e-mail) on a consumer product -- but those points were also not awarded. (I did the survey directly at their website).
In at least one of these cases, I was informed that it would take one to two weeks for the proper points to accrue. That is fine, but the other points are also due.
I really enjoy their surveys but the glitches have just become a little too incessant in recent weeks. But I certainly appreciate the opportunities that the company otherwise provides.

I have no complaints about Opinion Outpost. They are #2 in my Paid Surveys List with $99 earned since February, 2008 and I just requested another $9.50 today from them.

I agree it's one of the better one's out there. I usually get at least one a day now. I had the same problem where i didn't get any surveys from them for about 3 months but i sent them a couple of e-mails and they started sending me surveys again.

I love doing Opinion outpost surveys.Sometimes they say i dont qualify even going more than half way. But the reward points they offer is often good,so worth the time.

Today I received a Opinion Outpost survey that paid 200 Opinion Points. This is the very first time I got a survey that paid like this. The survey is hosted by Greenfield online. After I clicked the survey link and entered my email, I was sent to the standard page where you have to fill all your demographic information. I was disqualified from this survey after I entered all my information. I also got this message that everyone get when they are disqualified.

We're sorry, you were not a match for this survey. Generally this is due to reasons like not owning or having experience with the product or service the survey is targeting. We do our best to match you to surveys you will qualify to complete. Thank you for your willingness to respond.
Please look for more survey opportunities in the future.

Well good for you !! :) I got one too yesterday for $11.70 and another one is on it's way for $21.30. I also made $5.00 from them yesterday and another survey for $2.50 today. I'm on a Roll... :p I've made a total now of just about $54.00.

I can imagine how frustrating that was Eddie....i'm always getting surveys from Greenfield just like that and as soon as i click on the take survey button i get the exact same message....

Actually I was not as mad as you might think. Yeah, I did not qualifily for this $20 survey, but Opinion Outpost sends me two or three survey opportunities per day. So I'm certain that their will be more surveys where this one came from. It will probably not pay 200 points but they will certainly pay something, if I qualify.

I've now made a total of $56.00 since Mar 08 - $35.50 for the month of July. Surveys are really coming in and I keep a close eye to catch them right away, I didn't know that in the beginning. I'm learning & it makes me Happy !! :p

This is so true. You have to check your mail daily if you're a survey taken and want to take advantage of all the offers and surveys you are sent. I missed so much money with Opinion Outpost because I did not sign on to my email account when I needed to. It's a hit and miss situation--sometimes you make the deadline/quota, sometimes you don't, sometimes you qualify and sometimes you don't. It is frustration, however.

Today I take a 20 point survey that was hosted by Myview - http://exercise10h.affinnova.com. After I entered the state I live in, I was redirected to this Opinion Outpost message:

Survey Status

Invalid result. ( code 08 )

An email has been sent to customer support and they will look into the issue. If you were being re-directed back from a survey, then the survey status will stay as ‘pending’ until we get an update from the survey site as to whether you completed the survey or not.

In my humble opinion, Opinion Outpost is easily the best points for cash site and second only to SurveySpot in overall paid online survey sites. Nothing else even comes close to those two so far.

Much agreed. Once my product-test survey credits, I'm going to request payment for about 50 bucks. In fact, today alone has netted me at least 10$ from Opinion Outpost. I'm still waiting for some more of my surveyspot surveys to appear as approved before I request the check with them (33$ and counting).

The only other site that even comes close to these in performance for me at the moment is Lightspeed.

Edit: Holy crap! Today was an epic overhaul of successful survey completions for this site!

6 surveys completed tops, a total of $18.50 made in a single day. It was such a good day that my final completion was actually an OTX Survey where I qualified on my first attempt.

Just Hang in there - they will come. They go in streaks - sometimes I get alot and then I don't. Also sometimes I qualify and then other times I don't. After you get a few and you qualify then you will be happy. :rolleyes:

One thing I've noticed about most survey sites is that they like to test you.

As long as you continue to do the few they send you, you'll be building up trust with them. After awhile, they'll start sending you even more surveys to complete.

Would the above message have anything to do with why I haven't received a survey from them in over a month? Not even a single one that I didn't qualify for. I'm feeling a little uneasy from the sudden silence, especially since my friend is receiving them in bunches. :(

Hmmmm :cool: This month I have received 21 surveys from them and Qualified for (6) and made a total of $29.00. So I would say that Message surely doesn't have nothing to do with you not receiving any surveys. Have you updated your info - I do that ever so often when my surveys get slow - otherwise I also email them about it :confused:

I strongly recommend you contact the Opinion Outpost customer service by clicking the proper link in the members page. I also did not received any survey invitations from them for almost three months. From March to May, I did not receive a single email from Opinion Outpost. After I contacted OP Support, I learned that my email account was rejecting mails from them. If you have Yahoo! mail then you should contact them and also don't wait three months like I did to contact them. I think your points will expire after three months of inactivity.

Expiration of Opinion Points. As long as you are an active member of opinionoutpost.com in good standing your Opinion Points will not expire. To be an active member means you attempt to qualify and complete at least one (1) survey for the last twenty five (25) consecutive survey invitations. Once you become an inactive member Opinion Points expire immediately and without notice. Expired Opinion Points are void, have no value and may not be assigned nor transferred.

Yes - I did receive this in an email... Of course I had been on the Opinion Outpost site during a survey and they said I might qualify for this upcoming Invoke. Well, I received this email saying I did. I've been pretty Lucky lately, because I have been getting quite a few Invokes. They are so Very Interesting and I wouldn't want to miss out on any of them.

You can enter the sweepstakes, offer up a donation to the red cross or try a instant win game. I donated. It is only ten cents but they have collected several hundred dollars so far. :o

Opinion Outpost sucks a bunch of football.. It has now been over a month since I received an survey invite from this panel. I sent them a second message about this problem and they gave me a lazy crappy response. It was very similar to the same message they send me about a month ago. I will post that message later after I enjoy some HD Gaming from PS3.

Wow - The same thing happened to my sister. She sent them 3 messages and they really say nothing is wrong and that sometimes it can be a spell before she would get any. Well, I also agree that is not true because I know I get at least 20 invites in a month regardless if I Qualify or not.

She finally got an email that said sometimes people can answer too fast or not give valid opinions so this can disqualify them. But they still didn't say she's been disqualified. She has not received any surveys since 11/1 and she's so disappointed because this is really a good paying survey site.

Eddie - When is the last time you have received a survey invite?

The last survey I received was on 11/8, that is the same day I joined Pro Opinion after reading the YFS blog review.

I joined Pro Opinion with a different email address that I use for Opinion Outpost so I thought opting out from Pro Opinion would not effect my OP account.

Please note this mistake I made and look into the cause of not receiving any survey opportunities. I really miss taking Opinion outpost surveys and hoping my account is in good standings. thanks..

This is really weird Eddie - Maybe they are trying to do some kind of clean-up. They definitely should be able to tell you if something is wrong and just not quit sending you surveys. Believe me the same thing or email pretty much was also sent to my sister and she hasn't signed up for any other site. I sure don't know what's up with this. But, I wouldn't let it just go at that. I would keep trying to email them or if there is a phone number some where I would surely try to get in contact with them.

Let's us know if you hear anything else and I will also let you know if my sister hears anything or if she starts receiving anymore surveys from them.

I am not certain exactly how you answer your survey questions, so there is really no way of knowing, but my guess is that the reason you may not be receiving any surveys is somehow related to this sentence from OpinionOutpost's email:

"Please keep in mind that panelists who consistently and thoughtfully respond to questions receive preferential priority over time for receiving survey invitations."

I just remember once that you said something about how you knew how to disqualify early from surveys that you didn't like or that were too long. Who really knows though?

I know for a fact that the way I answer Opinion Outpost surveys has NOTHING to do with me not receiving any email survey invites. Most of the time I give "consistent and thoughtfull responds" but I given lazy or questionable answers since I completed my first survey with them last year.

Here is why I do not like Opinion Outpost offering surveys from OTX. You may spend up to 30 minutes trying to qualify for an OTX survey, but if you complete a survey in less than 10 minutes, like the one on cellular phone companies that they send out every week, then you get this message:

However, because you completed the survey significantly faster than 95% of the other people who have taken it already, we are concerned you were not able to give sufficient time and consideration to your responses. My Message

I have not received a survey from Opinion Outpost for over a three months. The last survey I completed was on November 8, 2008. Now I am wondering if Opinion Outpost has any plans to send me any surveys in the near future. I will have to redeem my point balance if I do not receive a survey as soon as possible.

I have sent two feedbacks before about this problem but I have received the same response that did not help me at all. I believe I am not received survey invites becuase I previously joined Pro Opinion but quickly subscribed because I
thought Opinion Outpost and Pro Opinion are the same thing.

It may be that you currently are not qualified for any survey opportunities. Determination of eligibility for Opinion Outpost surveys are based around many reasons which may include, but are not necessarily limited to inconsistencies in answers, overly hurried responses, fraudulent sign-ups or for other reasons.

Please keep in mind that panelists who consistently and thoughtfully respond to questions receive preferential priority over time for receiving survey invitations.

HOW CAN I RECEIVE MORE SURVEYS THAT I QUALIFY FOR?
Filling out and updating your profile surveys is the surest way to get more surveys that you will qualify for. To access your profiles, log into your account through the Opinion Outpost website. On the left side of the page, you will find a tab called "My Profiles". We use this information to better target the types of surveys we send to you. For example, by indicating in the "Personal Vehicles" profile that you drive a Ford Taurus, we will know to send you any surveys targeting Taurus owners. Again, this is just an example.

Please keep in mind that updating your profiles does not guarantee that you will qualify for all surveys, but it does give us a good idea of what surveys to send to you.

CAN I STILL GET CREDIT FOR TAKING A SURVEY, EVEN IF I DON'T QUALIFY?

In the past, the only way to get credit for taking a survey was to qualify and complete it. This month, we began offering you three reward choices each time you do not qualify for a survey.

1st option - Sweepstakes: You will be entered to win a drawing for a $750 check. We will choose a winner each time there are 15,000 entries. This means potentially 15-20 winners a month!

2nd option - Instant Win: You have a chance to instantly win $50 in OO points at the click of a button. Roughly one of every 1,300 who click this option will have their account instantly credited with the opinion points.

:(I guess it's just me. Again Opinion outpost is not a great site for me. In the beginning it was. Now I may qualify for one survey out of 15. I counted. They don't even give me a chance. I don't like them. I am the only one.

I would not recommend joining Pro opinion if you are already a member of Opinion Outpost... I joined Pro Opinion the day Heath reviewed (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/wordpress/?p=136) the panel. I soon unsubcribed from Pro opinion. The rest is history and i haven't a opinion outpost since I unsubscribed.. On April 15 I contacted Pro Opinion Panel support and send them the question below

I have a question about membership to your panel.. Can you join Pro opinion if you are a member of Opinion Outpost? Would creating a pro opinion account cause problems with the Opinion outpost account like not receiving surveys? I'm really looking forward to the answers to these questions. Thanks

I received a reply the next day... Their response proven that Opinion Outpost & Pro Opinion are the same thing. They are both run by the same datebase meaning you can only join one of these sites. Actually you can join both panels but it's not a good move. Their reply was way much better that the generic same reply I got from Opininon Oupost. Here is their message:

Opinion Outpost and Pro Opinion are quite similar. They actually run off the same database, and reflect the same surveys once logged in. For instance: If you were a typical panelist of both Opinion Outpost and Pro Opinion, you would be able to log into either portal and see both surveys and total amount earned off each site. If you earned 100 points from Opinion Outpostand 50 points from Pro Opinion, you could log into Opinion Outpost and itwould show 150 points, or the same if she logged into Pro Opinion. You would never have to check both sites – you can access Pro Opinion surveys off the Opinion Outpost site, and vice versa.

Anyone else having this problem ?? I now haven't received any survey invites since 4/27 from Opinion Outpost. I guess it's my turn, I've heard that others and even my sister had this problem at one time.

I am very concerned that I only received one survey invitation from Opinion Outpost during the month of May and I am wondering if I should contact their customer service to ask if this is correct. As you can see below, I received 30 invitations for surveys during the month of April.

Nope, still no invites but will let you know when and if I do. Maybe they are trying to clean up their old members and trying to get new ones, who knows :confused:

This is the reply my sister got back from them after not receiving surveys from them for months:

"I have looked into this issue and see why you are not receiving survey invitations. Upon reviewing your account we see a flag that might indicate that someone else at your location has or has had an account with us. As we want to have just one opinion per household on most surveys, we only allow one account per household."

So this makes it sound like they can track you doing surveys by your IP Address.

Opinion Outpost is my solid Number Two favorite survey site because: 1) No other survey site comes close other than SurveySpot, 2) they send paid surveys frequently, 3) their screening process is excellent so I qualify for most surveys and 4) they compensate you fairly for your time.

I believe there is a clinch in the system as they have sent me 55 surveys overnight. This sounds fun but I have taken 15 and have not been eligible for one. I have a feeling I will not be able to take any of them. Some of the messages just say error come back later. This sounds crazy but has anyone else had this experience?:(

I also note that Opinion Outpost has 19 surveys available listed for me on their website, but when I click on the older ones it is a Page Not Found error. It's just a glitch in the system that should be corrected shortly.

I had 7 available items which would not go away.
So I emailed support, they fixed it in an hour.
Probably will not be that quick for the guy with 50 items....:D

Hi!

We apologize for the inconvenience this must have caused. We have
experienced a problem that is being fixed. This problem has affected a small percentage of our panelists
and we are sorry you are one of those few. We should have everything back to normal now.
Please just proceed on to active surveys that are up to date in your list.

Anyone had a same problem with this survey????

We work with many companies that host surveys, and at times there are problems when they redirect information back to our system. To counter this problem, we pass a variable to our clients. When the study is closed they send back these variables to let us know who completed the survey in case errors happen.

It may take up to 2-3 weeks before we can award points for completing this survey. If you did complete it, then your points will be credited to your account.

I am still in shock. I have been taking surveys from Opinion Outpost now for about 5 months and have done fairly well - cashing out a few times. I have been disqualified more than surveys I have qualified for - but I have tried their instant win game countless numbers of times - lately I have been ignoring it and just existing out. Well today I clicked on the instant win game and I Won ! So this shows that yes - it is possible to win. Maybe I should go by a lottery ticket today !! STEVE

Today I completed my first Opinion Outpost survey i almost one year. I finally found someone in OP support that did not give generic response. The problem with my account was exactlly what I expected. I should have never joined Pro Opinion... Here is the message Diane gave me:

I have looked into this issue and see why you are not receiving survey invitations. Upon reviewing your account we see a flag that might indicate that someone else at your location has or has had an account with us. As we want to have just one opinion per household on most surveys, we only allow one account per household.

Please let us know if you feel you could have had multiple accounts with us at your location and which account we should keep. We will see what we can do to get you set to receive surveys again.

I quickly responded to the email telling her how I messed up by creating a Pro Opinion account with the address registered with Opinion Outpost (but different email).

Three hours later I got a response which I was very pleased that it was a generic useless reply..

Thanks for emailing us back. I have gone back into our database and removed a flag that was indicating that there might be someone else at your location that has used an account with us. We routinely monitor our panel members accounts looking for things that could indicate issues with the data that is being returned. For instance, we flag accounts for multiple reasons such as accounts that return bad data in open ended responses, which was not the case in this example. In other cases we often compare physical addresses and try to determine if multiple accounts are at that location. We do this because we generally want just one opinion per household on most surveys. We are always trying to improve our monitoring processes.

If you have any further questions or problems, please let me know. Please keep this email as a reference in case your account gets flagged again. Keeping this email may speed up the process of finding the issue on your account faster next time.

I didn't get my first survey in over 6 months in my email but I accessed it by logging in my OO accont... Hopefully I will start receiving survey through email soon..

Also note that I merged Opinion Outpost and Pro Opinion threads into one because both websites are the same thing and use the same server. Plus this eliminates confusion since Pro Opinion thread was in the NOT Recommend catogory. Basically, the moral here is just join Opinion Outpost or Pro Opinion but not both...

..because then it would compensate for all the surveys I completed for them that never were recognized by their computer system as completed. I have 4 completed surveys listed as "started" - that includes a 40 point survey I just completed that took an hour!

I've sent emails, and have gotten the canned responses that it takes 2-3 weeks for them to reconcile the errors. But I have 4 of these! I can't do these anymore if they can't fix things so that I get credit when I complete them.:mad:

Today I got an email from Opinion Outpost. It basically introduced the new Amazon GC program that is mentioned in the previous post. They will also have a pre paid debit card option.

1) Soon you will have the choice to redeem the full cash value of your Opinion Points for Amazon.com gift codes. The best aspect of this incentive is that you will receive your gift code instantly on screen and by email*.

2) Before the end of 2009 you will also be able to redeem your Opinion Points for a Citi prepaid debit card. You can either receive a virtual debit card or choose to have a physical card** mailed to you.
Currently we send a check in the mail to panelists for their redeemed Opinion Points. This process was slow and frustrating for everyone and we feel our new options will be a vast improvement. As a result, we will phase out sending checks as a means of cashing in points early next year. Of course, your point balance will remain unaffected through this transition.

*You will still need a minimum of 50 points before redeeming.

**If you choose to have a physical Citi prepaid debit card mailed to you, for any dollar amount between $5 and $24.99 a $1.50 charge will be deducted for the cost of the physical debit card. For any amount of $25 or more, we will cover this fee for you.

I'm not sure if these two options will also be available in Pro Opinion.
