I will just start a new thread here for any discussions concerning referrals. I am not an advocate of referrals, other than occasionally friendly ones because I think it does not pay much and leads to unethical practices like spamming people.
JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR: REFERRAL LINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM.

Yes, referrals are a great way to earn extra money. But unfortunately I do not have many referrals. I could have got so much more, if i had referrals.
Wonder what the secret to getting referrals is
I heard from other forums that referrals only add up to about $30-50 per month of the income from someone who makes $500 per month on average from surveys and the best way to get a lot of referrals is to spam people.

Lee,
Is this thread for referral links? Because that would break the forum's rules posted by Heath

No. This thread is for discussing the pros and cons of referrals, which are an integral part of most paid survey company's policies. I just thought we should discuss it here rather than under my precious 'Surveys That Pay!' thread, which is for posting earnings.

I am not too crazy about referrals. I don't see how spamming works for quality referrals. I've also heard that referral earnings are not much for most. I guess I like surveys because you can make your own money without required referrals. Most survey companies don't have referral programs anyways.

I would have to say That the list of companies that do not have referral links, is very very small. In fact i think a few days back, i even got an email from pincecone research, giving me a link to refer people. I think i deleted it though.
But it just proves that no matter how big the company, they constantly need new members, because they have to be able to complete the survey in time, and with the desired no of participants from each demographic quota.
So, the more the merrier for them.

What I`m worried about is most of the people I can refer are either co-workers or the community I work for and I don`t want to make em mad!

I have a question. Does the $2 per referral thing still work?
