Reposting Eddie's information here.

Ocucom Pre-cast is a program used by Survey Spot to administer surveys about movies or TV shows. I installed this program by clicking the "Take a survey" button that is seen when you log in to your account. I took my first Precast survey about four months ago. The survey took 20 minutes to complete and I earned $5 for watching several TV commercial of current and new TV shows. The quality of the videos were very good and it never paused while it downloaded. This is very rare thing to happen especially in my computer since I don't have a very fast internet connection

Overall my experience with Pre-cast is very positive. The program only opens when you click on a survey link that requires the program and as far as I know, it doesn't have a suspicious backgroun activity. I recommend you install this program if you are interested in watching TV shows and movie commercials.

Here is some more information about Ocucom Pre-cast:

More information on Ocucom Precast with a graphic to show you what it looks like in a typical survey.

Ocular surveys from OCUCOM (http://www.cst-international.com/ocular/ocular.html)

We live in a visual world, whether on television, Internet, print, paper or poster it is images - not words - that dominate. CST International (http://www.cst-international.com/ocular/contact.htm) is proud to introduce Ocucom’s ‘click-on-image’ surveys to Europe. Ocucom’s ocular surveys can be used for web interviewing, face-to-face interviews and self-completion at kiosks. At this moment the survey is not available for online demonstration. To view this remarkable technology first-hand please contact CST International (sales@cst-international.com) to arrange for a personal demonstration.

The image below is typical of an ocular survey. Responders complete the survey by clicking on images rather than typing text or checking boxes. This improves the quality of the results because responders’ visual senses are fully utilised. This includes memories attached to particular images and memories attached to names.

In this example responders have been asked to select from - the visual list - the books with which they are familiar. Not everyone will remember books (or indeed products, logos etc) by their name or title but images jog memory, thus giving more accurate results.

The image below is from the opening screen of an Ocular survey. The application records what images have been selected and will ask the responder about each of the products or services later in the survey.

Another repost from Eddie.

I remember a lot of entertainment magazines like People, ESPN magazine, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, and Wired. I also remember survey invites about Forbes and Fortune. I never qualify for those surveys because I rarely read or look at magazines. But I did used to have subscription with EGM a long time ago.
