Does anyone have any info about survey head ? I joined this survey site through an offer site. It seems a bit similar to my view, and has a min payout of $25. But am not sure how legit it is. So, if anyone has any experience with this site, please post it :)

Yup - surveyhead is a new survey company from the Gozing/Greenfield group - I think it was started by the founders of Gozing.

I am not a fan of the $25 minimum payout (which seems a bit high, IMO). Plus, they seem to do mostly OTX surveys (which are top on my list of "avoid"). I have tried a few surveys for surveyhead and have not qualified. I get redirected to OTX and spend 5 minutes filling out a screener and then am told I don't qualify and am redirected to another survey and then another and another. By the end, I accepted an offer from surveyhead for $1 (possibly, if I qualify) and spent 30 minutes filling out OTX screeners and don't qualify.

So, I guess join up if you like filling out screeners and don't mind waiiting until retirement to collect your earnings. :p

For a new company, with a little googling, you can find a boatload of negative things about them already.

My personal experience with surveyhead is a big fat "pass". I have been signed up with them for over a month or so and I have not qualified for a single survey (I have taken about 15 surveys - 99% of which were OTX). Also, some of their screeners almost verge on surveys. I spent close to 15 minutes filling in answers for one survey only to be told that I did not qualify. They make no mention of drawing entries for those unqualified surveys, either. Basically, all I have earned from them is a $5 sign-up reward and since they don't cash out until you reach $25, I could be retired before I hit the cash out point.

In the past two days I have experienced two weird things happend to me about online surveys. Well actually one wasn't really weird, it was more of lucky and the other one was just awkward, but I think it was happen to me before.

I will start first with that one. Yesterday I received a paid survey invite from Survey Head. It was a 20 minutes survey that paid $2. The survey was a GfK NOP survey that I shouldn't have qualified for because I have never bought that kind of product the survey aimed at. Later that day I received a survey invite from Netverdix, and it was the same exact GfK survey. I was surprised when the survey actually loaded since I have already had a window with the same survey. Since I had already completed more that 75% of the Survey Head survey, I decided to finish that one and see what would happen to the Netverdix survey. Well I did complete all of the Survey Head survey, but something unexpected happen. After I answered the last question of the Survey Head survey, I was redirected to a Netverdix message that said I completed the survey and was credited with $2. That means I was credited with the wrong survey panel!!!!

After that I answered the remaining questions to the Netverdix survey. I was give the following message after I completed this survey: "This transaction is invalid." That message was on a Survey Head server..

Now I think that I completed this survey with Indox Dollars several days ago. I say "I think" because I do not keep track of IndoxDollars surveys since they rarely sent me survey email invites. And I think I completed this survey on a different public computer...

(Both the Survey head and the Netvertix survey paid $2 so it didn't really matter which one I completed... But I'm glad I got credited with Netverdix because I already have $4 with them in my account.)

Now I'm going to Clear Voice to explain how I mistakely rushed though a paid survey then was able to correct my mistake...

Well....this is what this looks like......you did not get a $5 survey from United Sample/Surveyhead. What you did was register with them and get the $5 credit they offer everyone upon registration.

Looks to me like YourFreeSurveys is doing the referral thing. Seems like they must've set up some sort of referral agreement with Survey Head. For every person they drive to that site who signs up, that person gets $5 credit and YourFreeSurveys most likely gets some sort of cash payment per sign-up.

So....you basically just registered with Survey Head. And they have a minimum $25 payout requirement...so it will be a long long time before you reach it.

Good luck!

djuna73

....and bascially it's just driving you into their site. Doesn't look like it is making your register for them but it definitely looks like you are looping through a million and one horrible OTX surveys.

"United Sample will credit you with $5 for your first survey"

WOW that isn't saying much considering you can loop through a million of those things and never qualify. Does that mean you don't get the $5

United Sample owns Survey Head. Survey Head has a minimum $25 cash out requirement. I have been a member for MONTHS and taken every survey they sent me and still have not come close to meeting the cash out. Usually I am disqualified. So this $5 credit means squat because you could sit for a long time before you ever actually earn enough to get it.

So here is the exact text:

"We have a unique survey opportunity. United Sample will give you 5.0 dollars for your first completed survey. Unlike other survey firms, you take your first survey and then register for more surveys from United Sample.

United Sample will credit you 5.0 dollars for your first survey. They pay via Paypal. If you do not qualify for a survey today, use this link again tomorrow and you may qualify then. Keep trying until they can match you with a survey."

Sorry to say it but wow....what a freakin' scam on both parts - BOO to United Sample/Survey Head and BOO to Your Free Surveys. Pretty shady in my opinion.

Well....this is what this looks like......you did not get a $5 survey from United Sample/Surveyhead.

I also got that United survey email. After I clicked on the email link, I was redirected to a OTX survey. I decided to disqualify myself from this survey because I knew that it would be about a topic that does not interest me. I was NEVER asked to join survey head, but was redirected to a survey head server after I was disqualified.

I became a memeber at the end of July and currently have 12.50 in my account and another 6.00 pending. I have never tried to cash out, not yet having reached the $25 minimum as of yet, so can't comment on that. It is not easy to qualify for their surveys but I have managed to complete 18 or about 2 to 3 a week, that is by checking in everyday. Seems to me they are no worse or better than other sites, I personally belong to 115 sites and none of them are gold mines. The ads you see for 75 to 100 per survey are total bull, if they exist thay are well hidden. This is strictly a hobby with a little money made here and there. I tried to log on to surveyhead today and was told there is a server problem which is also not unusual. I find and complete most of he money surveys by logging in to the sites several times a day as most money surveys are not e-mailed to me.

They state that it can take up to 2 weeks for them to verify my paypal account, but I requested the money back on 11/21 so Is over a month. I emailed them but never hear back, do they really pay or am I wasting my time? Not doing anymore surveys there untill I get paid, sometimes their surveys are the same as for another survey company known to pay so I'm thinking of puting them on my "dont waste your time" list.

Once they confimed all my surveys I was paid quickly. My quibble with them is their infrequent confirmation process. It seems like they do monthly sweeps to verify pending surveys - that's quite unlike YFS's 3 times a week updates.

I earned enough to cash out with SurveyHead 2 weeks ago, but the final $15 or so is still pending. I don't think they're going to get my surveys confirmed before 2009.

yeah they were very slow to credit the $1 surveys I took, it took them at least a month but now waiting to get paid is a drag, especially since you have to have $30 to cash out.

UPDATE: Surveyhead confirmed $8.00 of outstanding surveys this week, still waiting for the remaining $7.00 to cash out. But they credited the $1.50 in completed profiles immediately.

I became a member of surveyhead several months ago. I took me a few months to strt qualifying for their surveys. I have made up to 11.00 ,but it is still hard to get to $25.00.
They place several surveys for you to do each day, but most days I never qualify for any of them or either their site will have a message saying you ghave already comlpeted this survey; eventhough, you have not even began the survey. I think it is a legitamate one, but it has alot of problems with it's site working correctly and I agre with a comment made by some on this forum, that there cash out is too high! I prefer surveysites taht pay you per survey, not those where you have to wait until you reach a certain amount before cashing out. Even a suvey site like mysurvey is better, at lease you can cash out when you reach $10.00, but they are a point survey site. as fo whether they are an offers site or not, The onlly thing that's similar, thatt you have to wait until you reach $2500, but they do not have click offers for youto do for money, like cash crate or inbox dollars does. My favorte survey site was Pineconereasearch.com but even they are not as great as they use to be for they only pay $ 3.00, instead of $5.00. But at least a person does't have to wait forever, it would seem to get paid.

Surveyhead's not bad. I've earned $35 so far and I cashed out for $27 in paypal.

They do give out OTX surveys, but I don't really mind them.

I took a $5.00 40 minute "commercial" survey where i watched a few sections from a movie. At the very end it said the transaction was invalid. I sent an email telling them about it, (I included details about the survey questions so they know i took it). I never got an email back, but I did get got a couple confirmation emails saying i got credited for my $2.00 "qualify if you shave" survey, and my $0.50 "Entertainment Survey"(these were other surveys that i did). It was strange because I got credited for them THREE times. So I got $6.00 for the shaving survey, and 1.50 for the entertainment survey. So that's $5.00 extra money that i got. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but i was pretty satisfied.

Well, I joined Survey head in 11/2008. I have earned 9.50 in surveys plus the 5 dollar signup, which gives me 14.50 and 12.00 dollars are still pending. I earned 5.50 in November for surveys - 4.00 dollars in January. Surveys are still pending for January and 4 surveys pending for Febuary. I dont have much problems finishing a survey on surveyhead, but I do think it takes them way to long to credit my account with the surveys I have taken. So at the rate it takes them to credit your pending surveys, my guess is you would make about 25.00 dollars every 4 to 5 months...

WARNING: Survey Head has to be one of the worst sites for surveys. I just spent 45 minutes of my time, time I will never get back, taking a survey. Only to be told that I didn't qualify for it. So, in other words, I gave Survey Head 45 minutes of valuable .information for a survey only to be told I 'didn't qualify". I thought I was actually taking the survey. And it was worth only $1 at that! Don't you think they should compensate people for their time after they spend at least 15 - 20 minutes working for them even if they don't qualify? I think this is a total scam. I just want everyone t know how they operate. I'm completely disgusted.

Just wanted to say I've been trying Focusline for the last few months. I took one very long survey about alcohol that was supposed to pay $20 and never got paid. The help email address was no help at all. Not only that, but I resent having to supply the same information over and over and over and over again in qualifying for surveys. If my info is on file why am I sent a link for a survey that I won't qualify. I've wasted too much time with this company and would advise others to avoid them. RIPOFF!!!

I joined the SurveyHead survey panel a few months ago and i'm approaching the $25 payment. I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually been paid from this site yet and i'd love to know how quickly they pay as well. I know they pay in Pay-Pal only so i'm guessing their payments should be quick.....anyone on here as any information on them that would be great.

I have had a very poor experience with Focusline. I had made my minimum to cash out and requested it. 6 weeks later, I still hadn’t gotten paid, so I sent an email. I did receive a fairly prompt reply stating that they had made a mistake, and I would be paid on the following Monday.

Well, long story short, they sent it to an old email addy at paypal, one I no longer have. Yes, my account was updated well before the payment request. I contacted paypal and confirmed that the money is sitting there unclaimed, and I cannot re-register that email to get it, I have changed providers.
I contacted Focusline, and their records show it is unclaimed, but said they WERE NOT WILLING TO FIX IT!!!! Even though they know it is unclaimed and they will get their money returned to them, they will not send my payment to the correct address. They said it’s not their problem that they some how sent it to the wrong address…….old records or something.
I have remained very professional and cordial through this, but now they are not answering my emails anymore either.
I provided a service to them, in turn the agreement is that I am monetarily compensated for my services - They have broken the agreement, and there is nothing I can do about it………

They are an unprofessional organization, and I would steer clear of them.

I have had just two experiences with Survey Head. I took my first survey spending approximately 20 minutes to answer all of the questions and at the end of the survey I got a message that they had exceeded the number of people they needed and I would not be paid. There was one more survey listed I (a different one) and I clicked on it and it said I had already taken that one, which as it is only the second time I have ever even tried to take any survey of any kinda any where was not true. Based on these two experiences I would not personally send people to this site, but who knows maybe other people have had better experiences. It just seems to me that if they do not need more people to take a survey they should not have it listed and have people waste their time answering all of the questions for nothing. :(

17. SurveyHead $68.90 ($25 po) (PayPal) (2009-02-05) ($45 rec'd)

I have had no problems with SurveyHead at all since I joined on February 5, 2009. Although pending incentives can take up to two months to be credited, most are credited within a week or two. It took me until May 10, 2009 to reach the $25 minimum payout level, but then I earned an additional $26.95 in just 22 days! The payment is made via PayPal promptly upon request. You are rewarded with $5 for signing up and $0.20 for each of the 10 profiles that you complete. Most surveys pay between $1 and $3 and often you will earn $0.20 for attempting a survey that you are disqualified from. The dashboard feature is unique among survey sites in that you see a variety of surveys along with the probability that you will qualify. The trick to earning money with SurveyHead is go to the website first thing every morning and attempt every survey available. Of course, the OTX surveys do take longer than others to complete, but Greenfield, Global Test Market, Opinion Outpost, Mindfield, QuickRewards, the Daily Survey Panel and YourFreeSurveys all use OTX now.

Can someone confirm if EDU Research (ergsurvey.com) is also the same as SurveyHead ?

I joined both at the same time a few months ago and I realized after a few days that they were almost identical - same surveys, same payout requirements, etc.. Now I have balances on both - so I am decided to focus on one and not the other to reach the payou level on one and then I will return to the other. Then, I guess I will unsubscribe to one of them. Any reason to bother with both - I have not seen anything in the forum regarding EDU ?

Thanks, STEVE

From Heath's blog entry (http://http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/wordpress/?p=184)
March 9th, 2009

Msjbelle asked that I do a review of http://www.ergsurvey.com/. This must be a very new survey site, because I found almost no information about it at all. I guess the good news is that I didn’t find any negative information, but sometimes no news is bad news. With trepidation, I did sign up, just to see if I could get some information to report on. What I did find is that the name of the survey company is EDU Research Group, which has little information as well. The is no FAQ section, so I joined blindly after having read their terms and conditions and privacy policy. I found it very wordy and overly complicated, and it left me a little confused as to whether they would share my information, although it says during registration that they don’t.

You get $5 in your account after registration, and there were 7 surveys available to me on sign up, each paying $1. All were OTX surveys which I didn’t qualify for. The payment threshold is $25, with payment increments at $20 after that. Payment is by Paypal and can take up to a month to receive it once you have requested that your earnings be sent. Because I could find so little information, I would probably hold off until I see what happens with my membership. I really don’t feel comfortable giving the go without more research to back it up.

stan Says:

I agree with Stan, this website sounds exactly like Survey Head since they pay you $5 for just registering with them. Well no good survey site like Survey Spot, Opinion Outpost, Survey savvy pay you $5 just doing nothing… That tells you this company is a copy cat of other sites like Survey Head

ash Says:

this is a scam! you qulify for very few surveys. often, you will answer many questions and then suddenly not qualify. my opinion is that you answer the questions they want then they say you dont ualify after you have answered what they want.

Lee, Thanks for the info.. I guess I have been somewhat lucky with EDU research - I have $19 with over $6 pending. I seem to do just as well with this or SurveyHead - but once I reach the limit with EDU - I will just stick with SurveyHead - no reason to split the rewards between the two since they both have the $25 cash out level..(Hopefully they will "un"pend the rest soon - both EDU & SurveyHead are slow in doing that) Thanks, STEVE

just got DQ'd after spending about 20 minutes on a survey about TV shows...for no reason that i could tell:mad:

EDIT: recieved this response

We definitely understand the frustrations you are facing when you take your time and fill out a survey and then get opted out at the start, mid process, or even more so towards the end. Each survey serves a specific purpose for each company so if an answer takes the direction away from what they are seeking information on, the survey will end. It is not always based on your demographics and can be based on a set of responses during the survey. We can not aid in directing you in the survey, as to the answers they are seeking, as it would defuse the purpose of the survey, but we do provide many options of surveys to choose from.

Although you are currently frustrated, I hope you will continue working with us and continue to try another survey in the place of the one you did not qualify for. We are going to be introducing a rewards system that rewards you on time spent on a survey where it ends because of a technical issue. Please keep on eye on the site for it as it will be coming soon.

I hope that I have answered your question but I know that you may still may have more, so please let me know if I can do anything else. I do see where you are coming from and we are going to introduce new rewards to resolve these type of issues.

I don't usually visit the Survey Head (http://www.survey-head.com/) website since they don't send me surveys anymore but I did today to see if the page would work. Well it doesn't work for me and the browser says "This program cannot display the webpage". I did a google search for Survey head and the first result said this "We are currently upgrading our website and we'll be back online at 4:00 PM PST." So it's safe to say that they are upgrading and it's taking longer that expected.

The Focusline (http://www.focusline.com/) website is working but the login and register links are not. Maybe the Focusline login page is in the same server as Survey Head.
