Survey Spot (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/links.php?id=26)has to be in every survey taker's Top Ten and is one of the first survey sites anyone should join. I receive several surveys from them every day and more paying surveys than from any other company. Most surveys last between 10 and 30 minutes and pay between $1 and $10, but occasionally you may receive invitations for higher paying panel forums. I have earned $96 in less than four months and have received $71 already, so there is no doubt that they are legitimate in every sense of the word. Here are the basics of what you need to know about SurveySpot, a subsidiary of Survey Sampling International.
Survey Sampling International (http://www.surveysampling.com/) (SSI) is the premier global provider of sampling solutions for survey research. SSI offers access to consumer and business-to-business respondents via Internet, telephone, and mobile.
SSI provides access to more than 3.5 million research respondents in more than 70 countries via proprietary communities and managed affiliate relationships. SSI can also provide random digit dialing (RDD) telephone sampling in 21 countries with demographic and geographic targeting assistance. In addition to sampling, SSI offers survey programming and hosting, data collection, translation, and sampling consultation services.
Founded in 1977, SSI serves more than 1,800 marketing research clients, including nearly three quarters of the top researchers worldwide.
SSI has an international staff of more than 335 people representing 50 countries and 36 languages. The company is based in Fairfield, Conn., with additional offices in London, Paris, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Madrid, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, and La Quinta, Calif.
SurveySpot wishes to thank you for your very valuable time and opinions. We appreciate all our members and have awarded over $20 million in rewards and prizes since our panel's inception.
SurveySpot offers members three ways to earn cash and prizes:
1. NEW Instant Win Game
Every time you take a survey, you qualify to play an Instant Win Game with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes.
2. $25,000 Cash Sweepstakes
Every time you take a survey, you earn an entry into SurveySpot's $25,000 cash sweepstakes, awarded every quarter.
3. Cash Awards
Certain surveys offer cash awards after you complete the survey.

Gallup Honors Survey Sampling International (http://www.surveysampling.com/news_detail.php?ID=68)
SSI Wins Premier Partner Award for Second Consecutive Year
For the second time in as many years, the Gallup Organization awarded Survey Sampling International its 2008 Gallup Premier Partner Award.
"As partners, Survey Sampling puts us at the top of the queue. The company is responsive and takes ownership for our account. SSI’s accuracy is 99.999 percent for the more than 10 million records per year that we order,” said Jane Miller, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Gallup.
"SSI’s relationship is integral to Gallup’s integrity and brand of truly random sampling,” added Miller, who served as the host of the annual awards ceremony that took place on March 27 at the Gallup Riverfront Campus in Omaha, Neb. More than 180 people attended, including suppliers and Gallup staff.
For more than a decade, Gallup has honored its preferred suppliers through a special annual awards celebration. These suppliers are chosen by a committee of Gallup associates based on four categories: operational services, facilities and equipment, technology, and corporate services. Nominees must meet the following criteria: provide Gallup with a high level of service and performance on an ongoing basis; strive to provide Gallup with cost-effective solutions; display an in-depth knowledge of Gallup’s current and future business needs; consistently deliver high-quality products and services; provide innovative and proactive ideas; and maintain extreme excellence in customer service and responsiveness that surpasses standard expectations.
"This award recognizes that Survey Sampling has gone above and beyond, as true partners, to provide service excellence to Gallup, an SSI client for 30 years,” said Jessica Smith, general manager of SSI’s telephone survey business unit, when receiving the award. "I want to thank my team, including Linda Piekarski, SSI vice president of database management; Missy Mosher, SSI manager of telephone products; Kim LoPiano, SSI account executive, and the rest of the SSI team for helping deliver quality service to Gallup on a 24/7 basis.”
The Gallup Organization also honored SSI in 2007 with this same award. And in 2001, Gallup awarded SSI with its "Quality of Service” award. Prior to that, SSI won the "Perfect 5s on Internal Ratings” award.

Thanks for the tip. I'm still learning with this stuff. (http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13&postcount=3) Hey I did it. Yeah I still take the ones for no money because I have gotten a product test and and invite for a paid follow up.
I take most of the non-paying SurveySpot surveys except when I am short on time, but I pass on a LOT of 30-70 minute Greenfield Online surveys, because I know from being a member of their forum that nothing good ever comes from them except the occasional Invoke Interactive for $15 to $40 and there is no correlation that I can detect.

Survey Spot is such a cute site. I feel so loved when they bombard my Gmail with 5-8 surveys a day LOL. I think the highest amount I've earned from a survey so far is $3 and I think $5 or 6 dollars in total. I really like the site, it's probably my #2 behind Pinecone.
I really don't like the Instant Win game at all. It's such a gimmick.

Here is a little-known trick to use when playing the Instant Win game after completing SurveySpot surveys:
If you complete a long survey for an Instant Win game, then play the scratch off game for higher odds that you will get 100 entries. When you complete a short survey for an Instant Win game, then play the slot machine for a higher odds at 100 entries. I have noticed that shorter surveys, especially those that you are DQed from seem to give you 5 entries more often than longer surveys that you complete when you play the scratch game, whereas the slot machine seems to be more random and will more often reward you with 100 entries for a short survey or one in which you have DQed. Of course, no one will ever win anything from this Instant Win game, but try out my strategy and see if you agree.

First Post, folks.
I actually did win a $50 Amazon Gift Card from the Surveyspot Instant Win Game. I had some insomnia and did some Surveyspot surveys in the middle of the night. My theory is that the instant win goodies are snatched up early.
It did take Survey Sampling Intl. four months(!) to send the code via email :(

I have spent more than one day and sometimes even several hours trying to complete their surveys and most of the time it doesn't give anything. During one month I earned only $5 and I am not even sure how I will get it. Do they send check or do they make paypal?
Have a little patience with Survey Spot. The more surveys you do the more of a chance you'll qualify for the paid surveys. Trust me, they will send you paid ones....i usually get a couple of them a week.....don't always qualify but still get them. They pay by check only i believe.

I have made $166 with Survey Spot in less than three months. Right now I have at least $70 in my account.
I recently completed a $3 survey that last 20 minutes. After I finished the survey, I was asked if I wanted to test the new product I evaluated. Of course I said yes to this unique opportunity. Today I received the new product and I will start using it tomorrow. I wish I could say what the product is but I signed a confidenciality agreement with Survey Spot to keep myself quiet.
Anyway I love when I'm given the opportunity to test new products before it hits the market.

dont do the ones that dont pay.
With SurveySpot it is crucial to do ALL of the surveys in the beginning until you have established yourself with the company. Once those $5 surveys and $15 Invokes start coming in after about a month or so, you can skip the longer non-paying surveys, unless they are on subjects that you find of interest. I will NOT be doing any 90-minute survey for a sweepstakes entry for ANY company

Survey spot is ok. I have never received any amount over 8 dollars which I don't mind , but most of the surveys are non paying. Since I have requested my last payout I have not received any paying surveys. I take them also , but not too much. In total I have been paid about 30 dollars. I hope I qualify for a paying survey with them again one day.

Yesterday I received a survey invite from Survey Spot that was titled "New entertainment panel invitation!". I quickly clicked on this survey because I thought it was an interactive survey of some kind, but I later realized that it wanted me to install Pre-cast.
I already have that program installed in my computer so I didn't want to install it again. I was asking my self why would Survey Spot sent me a this email if they already know I have Pre-cast, but I can to the conclusion that it was new version of Precast. So I uninstalled the Pre-cast I had in my computer to install the new version of Precast. After I found out that there is indeed a new version called Pre-cast 1.6 I mainly installed this version because of this was in the survey invite: "If you're accepted, within 24-48 hours you'll receive an invitation to preview a new network TV pilot!".

I've taken several surveys at Survey Spot, but I think I've only been able to complete 2. The others I take stops part way through and says even though you couldn't complete this survey try to win 25,000 then it sends me to the scratchcard or the machine. I hope it eventually gets better.
It totally gets better! I have $147 with them in five months and Eddie has even more.

Today I was received a $15 Precast study as the worst possible time. I received the email at about 8:30 AM but I saw it at 12:15 PM when I logged in to my email. When I clicked on the link, it said the survey was "Not available". That even I was screwed from the beginning when Survey Spot decided you send me this email at 8 in the morning.
What's a survey companies thinking when they send early or late survey invites? I guess this is another thing that you can not control and hope it doesn't happen to you.

I concur...I get a lot of surveys as well but not many that pay, and when I do they are hard to qualify for. However, they are consistant.
This is what I find to do to run into alot of paying surveys. I intentionally go to the site and log in, instead of just waiting to receive an email for a survey. Alot of times they offer money or if I just continue doing the survey I've also gotten some that offer test products. That is a Plus to me. Of course, like the rest of you I also have my surveys in which I do not qualify for.

While taking a SS survey just now I got this message and was not able to continue:
Consumer Survey
Progress:
. .
We're sorry, but we could not proceed because of the following items:
You previously stated that you have purchased 0 DVD in the past six months.
How many new DVDs have you bought in the past 6 months?
Please enter the exact number.
Earlier in the survey it asked me if had purchased any DVDs $15.99 and up and I entered 0 because all DVDs I had purchased had, in fact been less than $15.99.
At the end of the survey I was asked how many DVDs I had purchased. They didn't not ask at which price point I bought them. So I entered 2. I got the message above and was not able to change the info or continue.
Good thing it wasn't too long or a paid one. I would have been really ticked. I just wanted to warn others.

I was taking survey 724574 about the BBC America TV show 'Skins' and I watched over 30 minutes of the show up until the part where the kid with the three ounces of spliff meets up with Tony and the two girls about to enter the party and is just about to explain that he got three ounces instead of only one when the video stopped and restarted back at the beginning. I am not inclined to watch another 30+ minutes so I am going to let it run without re-moving the slider until I reach the part I misssed, if it continues to run. I have the latest version of Java installed and my internet Security is set on medium as recommended.

Today I received a $5 in a letter from FRC Research Corporation for taking a survey with Survey Spot that was a follow up to a survey I took several weeks ago. I was asked about my opinions on a product I used for two weeks. The Survey Spot email invite did not mention the $5 incentive. It only said I would receive a entry to a sweeptakes and a instant win game. So this is another reason why you should not delete all of Survey Spot's email because you NEVER know when market research firms will offer a incentive. For this reason, I recommend every Survey Spot member to take every survey invites they get even if it does not say about a cash incentive in the email.

Topic: Soup Study
Recently you completed an on-line survey about soup products and you agreed to participate in a second phase of the study, if selected. This note is to let you know that you have been selected to participate in the follow up portion of the research study. Thank you for your willingness to participate--the manufacturer is very interested in your opinions.
You will receive 1 can of Progresso New England Clam Chowder Soup on or about Friday, September 5th via UPS. The package will have a return address label of Expedite DMF, Pat Goserud from Arden Hills, Minnesota / Quality House of St. Paul. UPS will be sending you an email message (will be from QuantumViewNotify@ups.com) with specific information about your package (tracking number, anticipated delivery date, etc.). If you have any questions about the status of your package, please use the link provided in that email. If you live in an apartment and won't be home during the day on day of delivery, please make arrangements for delivery (neighbor, apartment office etc.) and leave a note for the UPS delivery person.
The package will also contain an instruction sheet with information on how to proceed with the study. Please be sure to follow all instructions carefully. Please watch for the code number that will be on your product and record on the instruction sheet. You will need that code number when completing the on-line survey.
The follow-up survey will be sent to your email address on or close to Friday, September 5th. Please be sure to prepare and try the product before starting the on-line survey.
The survey will need to be completed no later than Monday, September 15th.
Thank you again for your willingness to participate.

Was out of the survey loop for two weeks. Logged on to surveyspot to take a couple surveys, most of which I successfully completed. Decided to see if any rewards showed up as processed and was pleased to see 17$ there. By next week, I expect that number to at least double, since I went through an entire spurt of surveys about 3 weeks ago for this group. So, yeah... once that happens, I'll request a check. It is a little vexing that I can't see a record of what I've completed until they process though, but this is just one of those things that keeps my faith in the site growing, unlike MyView, where I can see my records but have no idea what will happen in the three-month waiting period.
I'm glad to see that their processing time doesn't have to take 4-6 weeks necessarily.

Holy Shiite Eddie! How long did it take you to rack that up? I am just waiting for a $40 check from SurveySpot and I think that took two months.
The first survey I took that was counted on my second "Unclaimed Rewards" history was on 2/17 and the last survey is 9/29 so I think it would be about 9 months.
The first check I requested with Survey spot was received on May 2 and I redeem it on April 15. That time it took about three weeks for me to a check for $116..

I'm not sure why, but I don't find SurveySpot very appealing.
I rarely see any cash surveys. I've never gotten any money from them in any fashion.
Plus the slot machine doesn't work properly for me all the time, so I have to use the scratch ticket.
Note: I've only been doing this about a month.
I think Surveyspot makes you prove yourself first, before you start seeing cash surveys or referrals to other lucrative panels. Like Greenfield, the cash surveys are hidden in the queue behind sweepstakes surveys, so Surveyspot is only lucrative if you are willing to spend some time answering sweepstakes surveys.
Sometimes I have problems with the slot machine, too.

I am having a difficult time with Survey Spot. I have records of surveys I have completed for $ and they show none. They agreed to fund a $5 survey, have not seen it. I get very few money surveys, not a mention of a product test, and in a couple of cases they have not responded to my e-mails. Are you folks using a different door?

Probably not a different door, but I do knock on the door often. Surveyspot has a large number of panelists, and one has to visit often to find the treasure. I also think SurveySpot is slow for newbies, and things pick up for them after they prove they are a worthy panelist. So don't give up - they are my #1 panel.
My personal experience with Surveyspot is that when it rains it pours. Right now, I feel things are a bit dry.

Things are really Great :D for me right now. I've been a Member since June or July and things were slow at first but once I caught on and just log in and try doing every survey I can, now the flow is constant. I've also been getting products to test left & right and that really makes me so Happy !! Just hang in there and stick with them, most survey sites will start flowing after you have been with them for awhile.
And don't forget, I was the one that Won a $100 sweepstake drawing when I spun the Cash Register. Went right to my Paypal acct. in a couple of weeks. I sure would like to Win another of those !! ;)

You recently completed a study about body wash, but due to a technical error, you were asked to respond to questions that may or may not have been applicable to you. If you could, we would realty appreciate it if you could take the survey again. For your opinion to count, we need to ask you the correct questions, which weren't included the last time. For the inconvenience, you will receive $2 if you complete this survey. We hope you enjoyed the product, and we look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!

We are reaching out to owners of motorcycles, ATVs, and Side x Side vehicles for a short survey. This survey has questions for the person who rides the motorcycle/ATV/SxS vehicle most often in your household. The survey is expected to take about 30 minutes of your time. If you qualify and complete this survey, you'll receive $5. In addition, you can play the new SurveySpot Instant Win game and be entered into our $25,000 sweepstakes. If you have questions about this survey, please reference survey number 739597.

I am asking the help of the expert. It is obnoxious of me to burden you with this series of emails but I have nowhere else to turn. This is a history of my battle to get some credit from Survey Spot. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
>Okay I am aware of everything in this last e-mail. I am a member, I have a password, I know the difference between instant win, surveys for cash, sweepstakes, etc. If you check I have done many surveys. The problem still remains, I have listed surveys I have taken for MONEY. Admittedly some may be incorrect and money was not earned. BUT I have listed them all, including one you admitted had problems and you were going to credit me $10. I know Survey Spot is not a ripoff! So please credit me for my completed MONEY surveys and let's continue to shape the world. Bear Racoff

Q: Why are we switching to PayPal?
A: PayPal has a lot of advantages, the most important are:
*
It is easy to use
*
The costs are minimal. For an overview over the transaction costs for transferring money please read the chapter "Fees" on www.PayPal.com.
*
And most important: it is very safe! Please go to www.PayPal.com to take a look at the PayPal Security Center.
Q: How will the process work?
A: As a part of our shift to PayPal, SurveySpot will also be moving to a points system. Points will be available on select surveys - in the same manner that cash incentives are currently offered. Once you reach a certain threshold, points can then be cashed out through PayPal, which will greatly expedite the time it takes to receive your reward! Further details on the revised reward system and points will be coming soon.
Rewards will NOT automatically post to your PayPal account.
Immediately after qualifying and completing a survey that offers points, the points are added to your SurveySpot member's account. Once you reach the redemption threshold, you can request payment via PayPal. We will send all payments to the e-mail address you used when registering at SurveySpot (where you receive all SurveySpot correspondence). As soon as the payment has been processed, you will receive an e-mail notification (please be sure to check your junk mail/spam filters for this correspondence). You can then immediately collect your reward by logging into your PayPal account!
Q: How Do I Get a PayPal account?
A: You can get a PayPal account by going to www.PayPal.com, clicking on "Sign up" and filling out a few questions.
Q: What if I already have a PayPal account under a different email address?
A: If you already have a PayPal account existing under an email address that is different from the one you used when registering with SurveySpot, you can simply add an email address to your existing account. click on "Log in" followed by "profile" / "email" / "add". This way, you can add up to seven extra e-mail addresses to any existing PayPal account.
SurveySpot looks forward to making these changes in order to better suit the needs of our valued respondents. More information will be coming soon!
So that means that they are switching to a points system, too. And not every survey will offer points.

My dilemma was me. The replies I received from Survey Spot were long and tedious. As I told Heath I am a man and therefore don't read instructions or long, tedious e-mails. I finally received a short response which I understood. Once I followed their directions I found the end of the rainbow, $97.00. The check came within 2 weeks. Too bad they don't pay interest.

Yesterday I qualified and completed a $3 survey that I received last Saturday the 4th. I was surprised the survey was even available since SurveySpot surveys fill out fast... Well this shows you that some surveys don't have quotas or just take a long time to fill. Always check you email even if you have over 100 unread messages!!

Last year, Surveyspot was my #1 panel. In 2008 SurveySpot sent me invites to 1 or 2 Invoke sessions a month , I won $50.00 from their Instant Win Game, and they sent me invites to private panels where I could earn even more money.
From Jan-April 2008 I earned $50.00 from SurveySpot.
My 2009 YTD earnings from SurveySpot: $11.00.

Are you taking about Communispace (http://www.communispace.com) panels were they reward with Amazon Gift codes when contributing to the website? I have received several invites from Survey Savvy, Focus Forward that send me here (http://communityinvitation.com) and I recently managed to join eSpot (http://talktous.communispace.com). I joined a Communispace panel before they added the screening questions about memberships in other panels. If I weren't already a Communispace panel member, I would DQ out their current screening questionnaires because I am a member of Greenfield, etc.
I heard elsewhere that after leaving one Communispace panel you can't join a new Communispace panel - their computers still list you in their database for sometime after unsubscribing. Does anyone else know if that's true?
SurveySpot has sent me invites to some Non-Communispace panels, panels that I could have joined without a SurveySpot invite, like PanelPolls Nickelodeon Panel(earned $40 in the year we've been members).

To answer your question, no I'm not sure if that's true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. But now that I think about it I did receive a second invite to join eSpot after i signed with my hotmail email. I was surprised I received the follow up email since I have them all my information that can be used to avoid multiple sing ups. In the end I did not join eSpot since I was realy a member and didn't want my account deleted..
Another company that runs their own community panels is Vision Critical. I am a member of two panels run by them called Play Insightts and Auto Insights. I guess you can join multiple panels with no problem...

1. SurveySpot $391.80 ($5 payout) (Invokes) (product trials) (PayPal) (Joined: 2008-01-30) ($353.80 received - rec'd) ($36.00 req'd - requested)
SurveySpot is my Number One favorite survey site because:
they have paid me the most money
their surveys are frequent and arrive daily
they are accurate in their estimated times of completion
their payments arrive by check in four to six weeks
they resolve all disputes quickly and even give you the incentive for any survey that you failed to complete for most reasons if you email them with the survey number
they have a lot of interactive panels
they offer paid product trials and they do not use OTX.
SurveySpot is now considering offering PayPal, which would make them perfect in every way.

Hi All: I just joined this forum after reading thru lots of posts. It seems like a few of you guys have had some pretty good success taking surveys. I just started about 3 weeks ago. The info here is very helpful - thanks! :)
I have a question about Survey Spot - I have not gotten any paid surveys from them, only the ones for entry into the sweepstakes (you know, scratch off ticket or the slot machine). Is there some waiting period before they send you the cash surveys? I have participated in almost all of the sweepstakes ones, but I have not gotten any that pay money :(
What's the deal?

We usually tell people here that with some panels you do have to prove yourself first before they start sending you paying surveys. But...
SurveySpot has been slow sending the paid opportunities my way this year, and last year it was my highest earner. Only in the last weeks have I started seeing paying surveys from them with regularity.

Do you guys think I will get some paid surveys?
Oh Yes - You Will. Give it time and do every survey you can. You can also run into Free Product Tests and Invokes and that is a Big Plus. If you are new to their site it can take awhile but the paying surveys will come. I've made $58 for the month of June with $50 still pending for payment also from the month of June, that's including the Invoke I just did last night. And is being a teenager a problem with doing these, my mom is willing to help me if needed?

Yes, I think most survey sites I think you have to be over 18 to participate, so most of these you wouldn't Qualify to be able to take them.

Also, on SurveySpot every time I go there is this table with 2 surveys to do, and they always have "Reward: An Instant Win game play and an entry in the $25,000 sweepstakes." and I have done every single one and yet to get any that have a monetary reward, should I join another site or give up? :(

Oh, I'd never give up Ever with Survey Spot!! Somedays they just don't have any paying surveys at all, or even several days at a time. Also it takes time with being a new member to actually get any good paying surveys until you have been with the Survey Site for awhile. I still say Give it Time and Hang in There !! that you have to prove yourself by taking unpaid surveys but I'm not sure this is true anymore for Surveyspot.
Last year I earned over $350.00 with Surveyspot,. I'm getting a few paid opportunities in 2009, but they have been for small $$ - nothing like last year. Is that a sign of the economic slowdown? Were they acquired by someone? I'd like to know.
I did get two focus groups in the last month - maybe things are starting to turn around.

Recently I completed my first Invoke Interactive survey in a long time and it was one hosted by Survey Spot/Opinion World. I actually thought I wasn't going to qualify but I guess it was the kind of survey that anyone could qualify for until a quota was met. It was a focus group about a variety of consumer products and lasted 20 minutes. I completed the focus group at 2 AM in morning that surprise but I will take it...

So this was an Invoke session that lasted 20 minutes and paid with a sweepstake entry?
I've seen these recently and I participated in one, just to see if I got a payment at the end. There was only a sweepstake entry and the scratch card/slot machine choice. Now when I get an OpinionWorld invite for a 20 minute Invoke session, or "Invoke Lite" as I call them, I close out the window.
I earned $75.00 from paying Invoke sessions at Surveyspot in the last month, but my total earnings for completed surveys from Jan-May totalled $25.00. By this time last year I had earned about $250.00 with Surveyspot. Either getting older has made me less bankable or things there have changed dramatically.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that this was a paid focus group survey. The email invite said I would earn $1 for taking a 20 minute survey about General Opinion. It never mentioned anything about a focus group.

Yeah I agree with that too... I mean why take a interactive survey that isn't going to reward you for your time and efforts. But sometimes email invites will not tell you about a money reward then when you open the survey you are told you will receive an incentive if the survey is completed. That sometimes happends. I don't like it but it happens not often though. Fortunetly for me this survey invite did state the reward clearly...

Ha.....all you folks taking no-pay invokes....how foolish!
I want you to know I beat the system...here is how....
I logged into the DSP portal and clicked on the 2cent option...
which of course led me to a Greenfield prescreener....
which I passed with flying collors...and was then presented with
a 75 minute invoke about toilet bowl brushes....
I needed to clean up my &^%$.....so I preceeded to the bitter end.
I was rewarded with a thank you, and the ubiquitous DSP congradulations screen.
So that is how I beat the system.... and got a 50 cent credit, on a no-pay invoke. (lol)

I do a few Survey Spot items each day. My rewards are still on a dollar basis, not points.
I have been waiting for Paypal but I think I will give up and ask for a check.
I have not heard about the point system either. I have not qualified for any survey lately either. But as of July I have earn a couple of dollars. I wonder what is going on.?

Hi all, I'm fairly new to the paid survey scene. I see Survey Spot at the top of the list for some; especially LapisLee. But the only emails I get from them are 25 minute surveys that reward you with an instant win & an entry into their sweepstakes. Should I continue doing all those & hope that they'll send me an actual paying survey? I'm assuming eventually that will happen??? Thx.

Since SurveySpot changed this week to the points system - I have not had one survey offer from them. Everytime I log on it tells me there are no surveys which I find hard to beleive becuase they always had plenty even if they were just sweepstakes ones. meanwhile they still have not credited me with several surveys I took over the last few months for a few dollars - so was this a way to not pay people for surveys that they have taken over the last few months which were never credited. So far I am not happy with this change.

It's not just you. The website says no new surveys for me either. Maybe they're trying to work out the kinks since the website changed. I've only gotten a couple of $1 surveys from them the past few months and didn't qualify for any. So I haven't made any $ with them. Hopefully that will change.

SurveySpot has moved to Points-system! Select surveys will offer points for members who qualify for and complete the entire study. These points will be immediately added to your SurveySpot member’s account.
Once you reach the minimum redemption threshold (1000 points, or $10), you can convert your points into cash and redeem your reward through PayPal. Your reward will be added to the PayPal account associated with the email address you use for SurveySpot.

Maybe it is too early to judge, but the surveys on the new site seem to be much longer and the incentive items much fewer.
I actually enjoyed those 5-10 minute points only surveys.....I used to think you could built up points and earn incentive invites.
That thought of course could be totally wrong.
Oh, another thing the new survey history only seems to be updating
about 1 out of every four completed sweeps surveys...what is with that?

So far I've only received (5) Invokes from Survey Spot. I know I've ran across quite a few that said they were for Invokes but I didn't Qualify for them. I'm not real sure but I do seem to think that they will tell you upfront if it's going to be for an Invoke, but I could be wrong.
I know Greenfield isn't like that. Once in a while they will send you an invite but if you don't get to it fast enough then it's filled up before you even get a chance to Qualify for it. Greenfield you have to try to do all the surveys you can in order to run across an Invoke, even Sweepstakes Surveys. So far I've done (22) Invokes from Greenfield.
But also one good thing about doing all the surveys from Survey Spot, even the Sweetstakes ones is because you can run across product tests to do. So far I've received (35) products to test from them... :p

Yes, I realize the same thing is happening to me. I just took and emailed them this morning also. Telling them I liked the old set-up much better and also that they would give the ID and the amount of money we received per each survey. I told them it would be nice if this could continue so we know for what we are receiving our points and how many.

One problem with the old set-up, which they promised me they would correct, is that the survey numbers on the email invitations did not correlate with the survey numbers on your survey history on their website. Have they corrected that yet?

Hi everyone,
I too have been having alot of problems with Surveyspot but I have some answers that might help. I have old surveys that pay cash from October that still hasn't been credited to my account, as well as only 400pts posted to my account when I should have a total of 6800pts (One was an invoke for 6000pts).
The main issue is the points system. Their main page clearly states that points will be added to your account immediately after completing the survey. That was the allure of the new system.. no more waiting weeks and weeks to be compensated. I wrote them about that issue and told them I had points missing even though their site says it will be credited immediately. This was their response to me:
Thank you for your e-mail.
Some surveys do not post points immediately. We see that you completed the following surveys that do not:
12/10 780852 100 points
12/7 781348 100 points
Your reward points will be posted to your account 4-6 weeks from the dates you completed the surveys. We see that survey ***** was an interactive survey. If you qualified to complete an interactive survey, your reward will be posted to your account 6-8 weeks from the date the interactive took place.
Best Regards,
SurveySpot Member Services
Ok so the main page says points will be credited immediately, but apparantly some surveys don't post those pts right away. Immediate means 4-6 weeks and 2-4 weeks for an invoke survey means 6-8 weeks. So basically the only thing that's changed about surveyspot is they changed their system to a points reward system.. other than that, the time frame to actually be rewarded is exactly the same as it used to be. Hopefully the response I received from them will help answer any questions from those who never received a response to the same question. It's not that you weren't or won't be credited, or that your points are missing; it will just be in the old time frame of 4-6 weeks. That might not be very comforting as far as getting your rewards quickly, but at least it's an answer as to why.
Have a great day,
Stephanie

I've been credited with 800 points so far since Survey Spot switched to a points system for PayPal. The 800 points came from 2 surveys that were credited almost immediately. So far, I have another 4900 points that I'm waiting to get credited for. I'm a little worried about this new system because I haven't gotten credited for surveys that were completed in mid-November (over 6 weeks ago). Has anyone recently been credited for surveys they completed 4-6 weeks ago? I'm trying to be as patient as possible, but I think I may send Survey Spot an email some time later this weeks to find out what's going on.

The points are rolling in now (up to 2900 points now), but it appears that Surveyspot hasn't fixed the issue they had with their survey reference numbers. All those goodwill points are for completed surveys, but there's no way of knowing what surveys they to apply to. Even worse, the Rewards History doesn't give you the survey topic anymore. At least with the old system you could sort of match up your surveys based on the survey topic even if the reference numbers didn't coincide. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if everyone gets all the points they're due. I'm still owed another 4200 points. I hope I don't lose out on any of my points.

I have completed about 7 of these 50 cent surveys from survey spot also in the last few weeks and only 2 of them have credited to my account. In fact those 2 almost were credited the same day. I really do not know what happened to the others and I have been leary to take anymore because I am not sure I am getting the credit or not. I thought when I first saw this promotion that every survey you were going to get from this month were going to be at least 50 cents but I see that most of them are back to sweepstakes entries. Since the points system started - I am not sure I am really getting as much out of them as I did before.

I have completed about 7 of these 50 cent surveys from survey spot also in the last few weeks and only 2 of them have credited to my account. In fact those 2 almost were credited the same day. Yeah it's happened with me as welll. I have noticed that some of the surveys will be credited to your account within 4-6 weeks. I'm sure you'll get credit for the surveys you've completed.

I have 24 fifty (50) point surveys from December 30, 2009 to January 30, 2010 that have not yet been credited. I also have a 1000 point survey from January 5 and a 300 point survey from January 29 that have not yet been credited. I am wondering how long I should wait to contact customer service.

I would give it a bit Lee if I were you. You only did those in January and maybe for some reason they couldn't be credited right away. As for the 50 pt surveys, I can't really say, I just didn't keep track of the ones that I did, but looking at my acct. it sure looks like I could of gotten credit for all of them that I did.
Today I received 100 pts. for a survey I did and it was in my acct. immediately. :)

I have received credit for 14 fifty centers, still waiting for credit on 12 other fifty centers.
Weird one today...$5 invite, half hour later click on "register for payment screen"
thing does not link... and throws up the multination flag screen...i thought i was bonked.
Much to my surprise.... I had instant credit in the rewards history. Go figure!
This site...despite it's little kinks will always be in the top three.:)

This post is the first of several that will include some very specific pointers on taking surveys from several of my favorite paid survey panels. These tips will hopefully help you to maximize your earnings, while spending the least amount of time possible. The first survey site that I will address is SurveySpot, my number one earner with $485.80 earned and $445.80 received since January 30, 2008. Tip #1 – Complete Your Profiles and Keep Them UpdatedThe first thing everyone should do to increase their odds of receiving and qualifying for surveys is to go to www.surveyspot.com and click on My Profile. Here you will see 14 profilers, including Home Address and General Profile and 12 others that take from one to five minutes to complete. You need to complete these before you take any surveys and review them frequently to make certain that your information is up to date. This is true for every survey site, but is even more important for your best sites, like SurveySpot. Tip #2 – Respond to Survey Invitations as Soon as PossibleYou never have to go to SurveySpot’s website to take surveys, but you should click on the email invitations as soon as possible. What you should watch for carefully each day are the surveys that are worth between 300 ($3) and 1000 ($10) points. Click on these first every morning! Tip #3 – Keep Records of the Surveys that You CompleteEven though SurveySpot has a points system now, it is a very simple, practical system where one point equals one penny and 100 points equals $1. Once you have 1000 points ($10) you can redeem your points for cash via PayPal; however, I recommend doing one simple thing before cashing out. Keep a record of every SurveySpot email invitation for points that you have completed in a special Survey folder in your email. After they have been credited on the SurveySpot website under the Rewards History tab copy and paste the survey number from the Rewards History into the Search Mail box and find the matching survey, then delete the email. Check the list of completed survey invitations against SurveySpot’s online Survey History and every other month or so contact SurveySpot with the list of surveys that have not been credited. They will generally credit you for completed surveys and give you the benefit of the doubt if uncertain. Tip #4 – Answer All Surveys Consistently and HonestlyAnother important tip which is relevant for all survey panels is to make sure that you carefully answer all of your survey invitations consistently and honestly, as most survey panels have questions built into the surveys to catch those whose answers are not consistently honest. Providing quality feedback will help ensure that you receive more survey invitations in the future. Tip #5 – Check For Past Rewards on the Old SystemThe final thing that I will mention about SurveySpot is to remember to check for rewards under their old system by clicking on the word ‘here’ under this statement found on the main SurveySpot online website: ** We notice that you have unclaimed rewards in our old system. ** If you cannot find this link then go here: https://www.surveyspot.com/panelist/PanelistManager to collect your rewards from the old system.
SurveySpot is the very best survey panel for me and has been from the start. If you follow these simple tips, depending on your own specific demographics, I think you will find they will also become one of your top earning survey panels.

Yes, I get the same thing when I log in and yes this has been going on now for the past week. Also some others are saying they can't log in or aren't receiving any surveys. I still Can log in and I Am receiving surveys everyday. Knock on Wood and hope I don't get hit like the rest, I love this site. Survey Spot sends me the most test products of all the survey sites out there. :)

They credited me with a lump sum 1000 points without saying what they were for. Were your 50 point surveys credited individually? I have now emailed them three times since February with a complete list of the 21 50-point surveys they have not credited me for yet.

This is the Question I sent to Survey Spot ...
I'm wondering how long it's going to take yet before we are able to view our points in the reward section ??
And here's the Response:
Please bear with us. Maintenance is taking us longer than expected. All your points are accumulated and saved. You will be able to redeem them once the control is back online.
This still isn't giving us any time frame to expect for any of our cashouts...

Just my opinion, but I don't think there is anything wrong that needs maintenance.I think it is a business decision,
maybe money was going out too fast. My prediction, when it comes back it will not be instant payouts..(20 day waits?) and the limits will be higher.
I hope I am dead wrong!:(

Hey, I was reading through Survey spot's facebook page and I found this:
"OK I just successfully claimed my rewards from surveyspot. When the link comes up with an error replace @ the beginning "nywas01" with "www.surveyspot.com" without the quotes and it will come up claim successful!"

By the way:
Thanks for making this thread, guys! Google tossed me in this direction when I was looking into more info about "Survey Spot" which was mentioned in some blogger's top 10 survey sites. I've cashed out once at 25-30 dollars and even though the rewards claim has been down, I still kept doing surveys. I'm at 43 or 44 dollars() and will probably cash out at 45 or 50 =] I couldn't remember at what date I started doing surveys again after my 1st cash out so that number was surprising. My hours had been cut pretty bad recently so this opportunity for extra cash is really great! What a great site it is

Dear SurveySpot,
I am so happy that your Rewards Claim section is now fully functional and can hardly wait to claim my incentives from the past month or so; however, I am still unable to find where I have been credited for 18 completed 50-point surveys during the 50-point promotional period in January 2010. The total points that I believe should be credited to my account is 900. Please assist me with this matter. Thanks!

Maybe those of you who have been members of Survey Spot for a long time can give me some pointers--or at least some encouragement!:)--but I'm ready to unsubscribe. I get a ton of survey invitations, but don't qualify for most of them, even if I try doing them early in the day. I have qualified for only two or three points surveys since joining in February. :( I think it will take six months to reach the minimum cash out!
All I seem to get are sweepstakes entries and very few surveys for points. Should I drop Survey Spot?

Heavens forbid ~ No Don't you Dare Unsubscribe !!! ;)
This is the Best Survey Site out there for Me. I make my share of surveys with points and remember from Jan to Feb and sometimes into March it's kind of slow for the paying surveys. I've received so Many products to test from them on a Weekly Basis, it's just Unbelievable. :D Just Hang in there and do all you can and eventually things will start getting better for you. It seems that when you join a site it takes months before you start getting the good paying surveys and the product tests, but once it starts it just seems to get better and better.

@Lapis Lee: Thanks for the tips, but I do all of your tricks with the exception of always taking surveys as soon as possible. I was not a member when Survey Spot was under its old system of rewards, so that one doesn't apply. With my work schedule, I just can't check surveys early in the day all the time. But even when I do link to the surveys early in the day or link to one as soon as it comes to my inbox as I'm checking e-mail, I still get dq'd a lot! : (
Anyway, I may hang in there a little while longer, but I just can't continue to spend time doing surveys (or attempting to do them) and getting no rewards or points. If Survey Spot gave you a small number of points for survey attempts (as MyView Surveys and some others do) I would be more willing to stick with it, because at least I'd see points building toward some payoff.

@tidyclean: Thanks for the encouragement. :) It is just so frustrating opening up e-mail invitations from Survey Spot and constantly getting dq'd or only getting sweepstakes entries. As I said above, I would feel better about Survey Spot (and Global Test Market) if they offered some small amount of points just for attempting surveys. To get mostly sweepstakes entries considering the time spent attempting and completing surveys isn't worth it, IMO.
NPDOR's surveys are very short and much less frequent, so I don't mind getting sweepstakes entries with them. Survey Spot and Global Test Market send me invitations all the time and I've nothing to show for the time spent.
I may hang in there, but not much longer.
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. :)

Just to let Everyone know I just Qualified for an Invoke from Survey Spot for $20. It's for a hr and will be next week on the 14th. Anyone else also get this ??
Just to let Workathomehoosier know that it is worth to do all the surveys you can from S. S. I also received (5) Full-Sized products from them already this month and (3) for sure will be coming. I tell you if you have kids and they eat cereal, I get a ton of it for testing from S.S.and my cupboard will never be empty. LOL :D
I don't just do the surveys that they give me, I log into S.S. several times a day and do all the surveys I can until I run out and they are the 1st survey site that I do the surveys for. Maybe that is why I run across so many paying surveys. I had a survey from S.S. today that paid 2000 pts but would take approx. 1 hr to do. I didn't get to the survey until 3 hrs later so they said it was already filled for my age group. I know if I would of gotten to it right away, I Would of Qualified for it.

Cool Lee, so we Know you are Also doing Great on Receiving those Product Tests. :)
Yesterday I had a follow-up phone call from a S.S. survey that paid me $20 and in 5 days they will be sending me another online follow-up survey and pay me $30. Before that I had received (2) previous phone calls and the 1st paid me $10 & the 2nd $15. It was on Health & Exercise and was Very Interesting and easy to do.
I forgot to mention that each of these phone calls were only 15 mins. long.

I haven't yet qualified for the Invoke surveys. I don't do this every day, but I have gone to Survey Spot and tried to do every survey available. I still get mostly sweeps, however.. I'm up to 700 points now, but that's after taking and attempting a huge number of surveys. I don't have kids, so that may be why I'm not getting the product testing opportunities. I also suspect that my zip code (in a poor, mostly rural area) is a reason I don't get to complete a lot of surveys.
I will stick with Survey Spot for now, but I think that some survey companies are going to using sweepstakes entries for incentives, because they can get the information without having to pay out anything most of the time.

If it's any consolation, I joined Survey Spot in November, and was on the verge of quitting them in January as well...but I stuck it out and I am soooooooooo glad I did. I think SurveySpot wants to see if you're serious about surveys before offering a lot more point surveys - I did my best to take most sweeps surveys the first three months, and suddenly, within the last two months, I've been receiving and qualifying for quite a few points surveys (and I got my first Invoke last week, too). I'm only taking surveys 'part-time' and I'm still managing to earn a few bucks each week now through SS.
Hope that helps!

Thank you for the confirmation, Laura. Nay-sayers elsewhere have poo-poohed their sweepstakes surveys, but they lead to invokes, communispace, and other lucrative "by invitation only" panels.

Pretty lame when I'm about to finish a survey and instead of the evaluation thing with the star ratings, it shows me a screen saying I'm being taken to another survey =/ Didn't get my 200 points for it and it wasn't a very intersting survey at that haha. Hopefully they award me with it, that happens to me occasionally.

I received that a month or two ago, but can't remember if it was from Survey Spot or somewhere else. After filling out the form, it was determined that I did not qualify to join that group. :(

Received that same message tonight for the first time. I usually get the "flag" page saying that they will redirect me into another survey.
