I am not certain why anyone would not want to be a member of Your2Cents (http://www.your2cents.com/) as they have been very consistent in sending me $1 to $5 surveys, most of which I qualify for. I have $19 with them since January 31, 2008, which is nothing to sniff at. Well, maybe just a little, but I still like them. You get $1 bonus for filling out each of the eight profiles, which is where a lot of my earnings have come from. There is a minimum cash out of 60,000 points ($20)and they do not offer PayPal. They also have quarterly $5000 sweepstakes drawings. More information for the intrepid survey-taker.

We value our panelists’ opinions, and to show our appreciation, we offer several ways for our panelists to earn cash rewards:

Every panelist who qualifies* for and completes an online survey is an instant winner of at least $1, up to $5. Some surveys offer higher instant winner cash rewards!

When a panelist attempts to take a survey, but does not qualify* for the study, he or she is rewarded with an entry to our $5,000 cash giveaway and/or a small cash reward.

Bonus rewards: Online survey panelists can increase their instant winner amounts by completing member profiles. Each completed profile is worth an additional $1 over and above any instant winner amounts the next time you qualify for and complete a survey. If a panelist has completed 6 profiles, then he or she will earn an additional $1 the next 6 times he or she qualifies for and completes a survey!

As a thank you for joining, all new panelists are entered into our $5,000 cash giveaway!
*Some research studies seek to gather opinions from people in a certain age group or who have prior experience with a certain product, for example. Panelists who do not meet the qualifications will still be rewarded with an entry to our $5,000 cash giveaway as a thank you. I have over $35 with them since I joined. Their surveys are really high quality and have a fair payment for taking a 10 minute survey.

I don't know why Heath and Lee say that there's no minimun to cashout when there IS... If you don't have $5, you won't be able to cashout!
True dat, but you get $8 just for filling out the profiles so you can cash out immediately the first time and I haven't made it to my second cash-out yet.

You don't get $8 immediately. Those are bonus for each time you finish a paid survey. I.E. you did a $2 survey successfully... then you'll be paid $3 (7 bonuses to go).

Well good for yous on your earnings !! :) Still waiting to even receive an email to do a survey from them - I envy you.. Just can't believe that I haven't even got just one to do :( it's been going on a month now since I've signed up.
Step #1: Check spam to see if their surveys are getting through.
Step #2: Email or call the company to make certain they have you listed as a member. This often jogs their memory.
Step #3: Make certain all profiles are filled out with latest or best demographic information ( ;) )

Thanks LapisLee !!

I have checked my spam and listed panel@your2cents.com - therefore I should be receiving any email invites. Also I have already contacted them twice and they told me that surveys would be sent when available per my demographics qualifications. Also still no surveys either from Survey Savvy. Also contacted them too and have added them to my Allow list of emails. Guess I just have to wait a little longer. Maybe some of the surveys they have to offer are the same I'm receiving from other survey sites that I do.

It's a very sad reality that older folks are discriminated against by survey companies who primarily want people between the ages of 18 and 49. Since I am 49 now, I won't be having any more birthdays for a very long time. ;)

Lee, that is not always true. Believe it or not, I have been disqualified from several high paying surveys because they were looking for people older than 30. The surveys vary depending on the survey panel. Some surveys are good to older people and others are not. I also think their is a panel made for older people but I don't know if that's true. I'm just basing that one the fact that their are panels like MyMeatOpinion, GARB Panel and other that are aimed for specific for people and interest.

Eddie, the older folk 55+ on Greenfield Online forum complain constantly about not qualifying for surveys due to their age. I know the best demographic overall has to be somewhere between 24 and 49, maybe 55 at the oldest.

Actually 55 in my case isn't too bad because I have children still at home. I'm remarried to a wonderful 49 yr old man and we have yours & mine so I feel all our children qualify. Oh - yes they are living in our household. ;)

Have you considered turning 29, becoming Hispanic, having 2.5 kids under the age of 18, owning three cars, watching TV and movies non-stop, drinking lots of soda and using your cell phone obsessively? Works for me... :D

I'm 21, hispanic, watch tons of TV and movies and drink soda 24/7 and still get DQ'ed A LOT

Your2 cents is a fairly good site, but the only problem is that some of their surveys are tough, and also the time they take a long time to send ur check to u. I redeemed $11 from them in may, and i still haven't got my check. That's too long, even opinion outpost is a lot better.

Also regarding what Lee said about less surveys for older people. I am not sure i agree with him, since i have been disqualified from a lot of surveys since i am much younger. I see a lot of surveys that are meant for older people. It all depends upon the targeted population, for that particular survey.

For ex, i also see a lot of survey opportunites that pay $15 to $20 for a survey, but they are medical surveys meant for people with certain diseases. :o

I never do them though, i don't care even if they pay $30, i am not going to say that i have cancer or Aids, just to complete a survey.

Yesterday I qualified for a paid survey about political. I finished the survey but after I clicked the "Complete" button, I received a "HTTP 500 Internal Server Erros". I have NO idea if I was received my incentive so as of now Your2cents has gone down my list of top survey sites.

Wow - that would really make me mad !! :( When something like that happens to me, I always Refresh the page just in case it would come back and sometimes it does. So it pays to try that option. Sure hope you do get your incentive, I would surely take and either call or email them for sure about this.

FYI - Press Release

"Dallas, Texas, June 18, 2008 - Common Knowledge Research Services, which operates the Your2Cents Online Opinion Panel, announces that it has been acquired by European panel and survey technology provider Toluna PLC. The acquisition significantly expands Toluna’s presence in the U.S., while offering immediate global sampling capabilities for clients of Common Knowledge. Toluna is now able to offer its clients access to more than 2.4 million panelists across 30 countries covering Europe, North and South America, and Asia."

Also, in weeding through the previous posts regarding age cut-off and the like, for years most market research companies targeted 18 to 54 age groups. The most coveted being the 18 to 24 demographic and the 25 to 34 demographic. This is slowly changing as the "disposable income" age group is no longer within those groups. Advertisers are hoping to target to the 55+ demographic and hopefully this will begin to be reflected in the online survey arena.

Still, I wish they would send out more surveys. I have them currently at #14 with $19 in earnings out of the 40 survey sites that I belong to so they are in the top 15 which isn't too shabby.

I have been a member of Your2Cents for a long time (more than one year), but I have only made about $40 with them. This panel took me a long time for me to make a decent amount of money. Regardless, I still enjoy taking Your2Cents because I have seen NEW products from different industries.

I like this site but they take way too long to send your check. I requested a $7 check on June 9th and it still says pending status. Right now, I have a $24 balance with them. I am thinking I should go ahead and request another check since it will take awhile to receive it.

Any surveys sites that pay are great for me. But Your2Cents I've only received one so far and didn't completely qualify. Well, maybe eventually they will come.

A ?? for All -- Why are surveys that say we are doing from Opinion Outpost have them from other survey sites? This has been happening to me alot - I don't get it, why don't they just have them on their own sites? Also when I asked different survey sites a ?? I would get the exact same customer service person answering my questions -- and they were both from different survey sites. Now that is really weird

It takes forever to receive payment from your2cents. I still haven't received payment that I redeemed in May. Am not sure when i will receive it.
I guess that I was lucky with my first check from Your2Cents for $19 because it arrived in 26 days. InboxDollars/SendEarnings make you wait a month before they even process your first check and then it arrives in about two weeks. Plus they charge you $3 for EVERY check you request and their minimum payout is $30. That seems to be the lowest standard for payments of any legitimate survey company that I know of.

Dear Eddie:

Thank you for sharing your opinions with us. We are writing to let you know about some things we are doing to help make your membership experience more satisfying:

* Expect more survey opportunities in the coming months. Many of you have expressed an interest in receiving more survey opportunities, so we are working to deliver them. As always, participation is your choice.
* Get your reward checks delivered faster. We have installed a new system that will reduce check processing time to 2 to 3 weeks from redemption to mailbox.

To enable the reduction in check processing time we have installed a new check printing process and we will be changing the reward redemption minimum from $5 to $10 for check requests received starting on September 1, 2008.Many of you are regularly redeeming at the $10 mark already. Remember, we are also working to bring you more survey opportunities, and more chances to earn rewards.

We appreciate the time you spend sharing your opinions with us. Thank you for your membership.

Sincerely,
The Panel Support Team at Your2Cents

Today I got this email from Your2Cents. This message is good news to all who do not like Your2Cent slow processing speed.

May 29th, I requested a $10.00 check. It was processing for 2 months. Finally the payment history said it was mailed the 20th of August. Since the check hadnt' arrived I looked again and the new mailed date is the 26th. We'll see if it changes again.

Yesterday I received an Y2C email that I just got to access. The SID for this survey was 4400. I'm guessing that's they survey # or project ID. After I entered my log in information, I got the following message:

INVALID SURVEY INVITATION

If you are seeing this error message, please contact the party who invited you to take this survey or contact the Survey Creator Team. Please provide the name of the third party who invited you to this survey when contacting the support and if possible please forward this message along with the short explanation of how you encountered this error. Thank you!

Error description:

It appears that you are not selected to participate in this survey. If you are seeing this error message, please contact the party who invited you to take this survey..

I'm guessing they mistakenly send me a wrong survey invite. The message did tell me to contact them but I'm not going to that because the way I see it, this is just one less survey I have to complete and record. Has anyone else received that message before?

im moving this panel from SURVEY SITES THAT PAY CASH to the one of POINTS FOR CASH:

*REWARD PROGRAM UPDATE
While the Instant Winner amounts offered for participation remain the same, amounts will now be credited to member accounts in point values where $1 = 3,000 points. Points will automatically convert to cash when you request a check. You can request a check when you have reached a minimum account balance of $10, or 30,000 points. Checks will be paid in multiples of $10. For example, if you have a balance of $26, and request a check, you would receive a check for $20, and have $6 remaining in your account. Points, and payments in $10 multiples, offer tracking efficiencies for accounting purposes. This means we can spend more time offering our members survey opportunities, and less time on bookkeeping. In the near future, we will be offering more opportunities to earn points and extending your reward program to more options you may purchase with these points.

Here's an answer to a Question that I sent to "Your 2 Cents".

Hello, I requested a payment of $11.00 on 11/11/2008 and it's over 2 months and I still haven't received it. Could you please check into this for me and let me know when I should expect receipt ??

We apologize for the delay in processing your incentive check. As you may know, we were recently acquired by the Toluna Group, a European based company and as such are going through several transitions, one of them being the method in which we process incentive rewards. As a result, we have experienced delays in sending out checks. This is logistical issue that we expect to have resolved by the end of the year. We take our obligations to our panelists very serious and assure you that we will be back to regularly processing checks by January 5, 2009. Keep in mind that we are back logged from October so your projected date to receive your incentive payment is mid to late February. Your participation in our YC panel is very important to us and we appreciate your patience and understanding while undergoing this difficult process.

Today I completed a survey that lasted 10 minutes and rewarded me with $10. This is one of the best survey offfers any panel can give you. That is one dollar per minute. Who ever is sponsoring that survey really appreciates the survey takers time.

So now I have over 300,000 points in my Your2Cents. I didn't know they had a points system until I read the email. $1 is equal to 3,000.....

In the previous comment, I posted that I have over 300,000 points in my account. But I forgot to mention that is equal to about $110. I will cash out within the week.

Also it seems someone deleted the comment were I stated that I disagreed with Lee's comment where he said Your2Cents point system was "ridiculous". Well one thing is for sure their points system is relatively useless since they recently added that feature. When I joined their panel they did not have a point system. I wonder why my comment was deleted....

Today I found out that Your2Cents will be undergoing major changes this summer. This announnement (http://www.your2cents.com/info/Y2C_Toluna.pdf) means that "You won't have to wait for an invitation to give your opinion!" That also means that Your2Cents will almost be a like a social networking website like Toluna (http://www.toluna.com). That means have your own profiles and I'm guessing adding friends.

Here is the email I received today from Y2C Support Team

Dear Panel member,

Thank you for being a member of the Your2Cents Online Opinion Panel. Based on feedback from members like you, we are making some changes to provide more convenience and more opportunities for our members.

EARN POINTS FOR COMPLETING SHORTER PROFILES
We took the previous group of longer profiles and re-grouped them (along with a couple of new profiles) into 15 shorter profiles to make profile completion as painless as possible for our members. As always, the more profiles you complete, the better your chances of being selected for surveys that you qualify for. Youll be awarded 300 points for each profile you complete, plus an additional 2,000 points upon completion of all of the profiles. Unlike the previous bonus dollars awarded for profile completion, the points you earn for profiles are not tied to future survey completion, and will be available for immediate redemption once the minimum account balance is reached. Any bonus dollars previously accumulated will remain in your account until redemption or expiration. You'll be able to earn points for any profiles not previously completed within the past 12 months. The new profiles and point system will be put in place during the last week of May.

WATCH FOR MORE FEATURES AND REWARD OPPORTUNITIES COMING THIS SUMMER
Check the Your2Cents website for updates on exciting new features and reward opportunities planned for this summer. We are also working to offer you more choices for point redemption, in addition to cash rewards.

Thanks again for being a member of the Your2Cents panel. We value your opinions - watch your email for more opportunities to give Your2Cents!

Sincerely,

The Panel Support Team at Your2Cents

Toluna may look like a social network site, but for me it works as a very valid survey site.

The only experience I had with the 2Cent site was thru the DSP portal ..at a rate of 50 cents a survey.
Thing have changed quite a bit since it became Toluna- all for the good.
See the recent survey invite I recieved below.

Toluna could rapidly become a very good earner,... time will tell.:)

Fifteen Dollar Survey Opportunity

Toluna, formerly known as Your2Cents, is an excellent points site that has earned me $79.37 since February 11, 2008 and which currently ranks 16th out of my top 25 survey sites. I have completed 48 surveys over the past 18 months on the topics of food, automobiles, cell phones, internet service, healthcare, lifestyles and the work environment with incentives ranging from 3000 points ($1) to 9000 ($3), with some special surveys paying up to 20,000 ($6.66). Most surveys are between five and 30 minutes, with longer surveys earning the higher amounts. The most exciting thing about Toluna … is that it is also a social networking site with over 2.5 million members where you can customize your profile, add a photo of yourself and earn points by taking polls, giving your opinion or simply by being popular.

You receive a one-time bonus of 2000 points when you complete all 15 Interest surveys. They pay by checks, which arrive in six to eight weeks, after you have reached the 30,000 point ($10) minimum cash out threshold. I have cashed out six times for $70 since joining. There is also a quarterly $5000 prize drawing, which you are automatically entered into each time you attempt a survey or you can trade in 1500 points for additional entries.

How can I earn points at Toluna?
Sign Up: 500 points (Awarded for advanced registration)
Content popularity bonuses: (15,000 points per month limitation on points earned via Social Rewards)
Write an opinion: 100 points (must be over 80 words, limited to 5000 points per month).
Sponsored Polls: 15 – 150 points, depending on number of questions
Personal interest surveys: 300 points per survey. A one-time bonus of 2000 points will be awarded upon completion of all questionnaires
Online surveys: 1000 – 20,000 points (depends on survey length)
Invite a friend: 500 points (awarded if invited friend completes advanced registration

This is a very good site for me since Toluna took over.

I get lots of surveys and qualify for my share. The main log-in screen now sometimes contains a link to Greenfield at 300pts ($1) per completed survey. That's alot better than a sweeps reward the Greenfield site usually offers.

Here is the one downside....after Toluna set up the new site I quickly cashed out for $10 minimum...that check took 63 days to hit my mailbox!

I got frustrated waiting 8 full weeks for a check. I tried the shopping points...which gives an option for a visa debit card.
They sent me to another web site to redeem my $30 reward. Meanwhile they email your redeem code.
Plugged in the code(s)..they are sending a $28 card in 10 to 14 days....thats alot better than 8 weeks and a trip to the bank to cash a check.:)

Toluna just raised their cash-out threshold from 30,000 points ($10) to 60,000 points ($20).

Payments – receive a check in 8 weeks (60000 Points)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$20 Check Option - Requires a minimum of 60,000 points.
(Not enough points to convert)

Payments

Points automatically convert to cash values whenever you request a check. You can request a check when you have reached a minimum account balance of $20, or 60,000 points. Points are redeemable for cash in $20 increments. For example, if you have a balance of $22, and request a check, you will receive a check for $20, and have $2 remaining in your account. If you have a balance of $46, and request a check, you would receive a check for $40, and have $6 remaining in your account.

Just got an invite from Toluna/Greenfield for a 25 minute survey for 990 points.....this points system is really confusing and i much prefer the older Greenfield sysem.

I Agree with you DAMO36. If you Earn $1.00 that's 3000 pts. so this survey you did for 25mins. they are paying you around 30¢... Just Not worth it to me... :o

Just keep this in Mind:

$1.00 = 3000 pts.
$2.00 = 6000 pts.
$3.00 = 9000 pts.

Then you can See if it's Worth your time to do the Survey. I wouldn't of been too thrilled to do a 25 min. survey for 30¢. :(

So far 2010 is off to a lowsy start: the new SurveySpot and Toluna swallowing Greenfield.

When Toluna merged Greenfield I noticed some changes.

1) I started to get invites for 990 points -- 33 cents

2) Toluna now has a PayPal payout option.

I dont know if Paypal is 5 minutes like the new Surveyspot or 5 weeks like we are used to with Surveyhead. Time will tell. I just did a $20 Toluna PayPal cashout. In the past I tried the debit card cashout and that was much faster than the projected delivery date they listed. I am hoping for the same with PayPal.

Let's hope these 33 cent surveys are not going to be the norm for Toluna/GF. Even Inbox $/Send Earnings pay 50 cents! LOL

And the 990 points isn't even 33¢ because it takes 1000 pts to make a $1.00, so it's more like 30¢...

What a Shame !!!! I suppose they figure it's better than just a Sweepstake, in which it can be but whose got the time for all of these surveys for such little pay ????

No, I haven't received any yet. I just finally figured out how to go to the Toluna Site today to do a survey. I'm going to try to do some to see if I run across any, I sure hope so.. They did mention that there was going to be some.

When You log in then click on the "You" on top of the page. After that click on "Your account" then click on "My Surveys",,, Alot of hassle but that will get you to the Greenfield Surveys if you don't get an Invite or you just want to do some surveys.

Temporary Delay in Help Desk Response
toluna | January 13, 2010 at 2:24 pm | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/prQ5p-2u

Toluna is excited to welcome so many new panelists to the Toluna community; we hope you enjoy posing your opinions and polls to an even greater range of people. We are receiving an unusually high number of help desk requests as a result of the merger of Greenfield and Toluna. Due to this increase, it may take longer for you to receive a response from the Help Desk than normal. Our Help Desk team is working hard to answer all of your questions and ensure that your experience with Toluna is friendly and rewarding. We want to assure you, our panelists, that you will receive a response. In the meantime we encourage you to take a look at the FAQ and tutorial and continue to check the Toluna blog for updates about the Toluna site.

See you on the site,

The Toluna Team

Default Question about Toluna
Some of the poll questions offer 15 points if you vote. The other questions don't have any point offers. I don't understand why people waste time answering questions without a point value. Are they worth anything?

I don't think so, but if you give an 80-word opinion, I believe you are credited for those.

I know 3000 pts is worth $1.00
so 1000 pts is worth 33.3¢
and 100 pts is worth 3.3¢

Therefore the 80-word opinion survey that you take is Only Worth 3.3¢ because they Only Give You 100 Pts. to Do those.

Is it Really Worth Your Time ?????

I'm sorry but I hate this merger. I liked Your2cents but Toluna is weak. I have not received an invoke invitation yet. Most surveys are only 900 points that is 30 cents or 2100 points that is 70 cents per survey. Really not worth my time. I had an invite for a 45 minute survey for 70 cents - WOW they are really using the bad economy to their advantage. I believe that they changed to points because it sounds better. Again 6000points sounds better than $2. Very disappointed

Dear Lee,

The Toluna team has pledged to contribute to Haiti earthquake relief efforts, and you have the opportunity to help. Starting Monday, January 25, we will donate 20 cents for each survey response, until we reach a total of $10,000, to the organization our members choose. This means that when you take a survey, your participation will contribute to helping survivors of the Haiti earthquakes, whether or not you qualify for the study. Take a survey and help Toluna help the citizens of Haiti during this time of loss and healing.

In addition, cast your vote to tell us where you think the money should go. The Haiti earthquake poll will open on Monday, January 25. Help Toluna help the citizens of Haiti during this time of loss and healing.

Our thoughts are with our Toluna community members, Haiti citizens, and all who are affected by the devastating earthquakes.

Sincerely,

The Toluna & Greeenfield Online Team

Haiti relief contribution details

Toluna will donate 20 cents for each survey response received beginning Monday, January 25, through February 25, or until we reach a total donation of up to $10,000. Donation will be comprised of up to $5,000 for North American survey responses, and up to €5,000 for European survey responses. Toluna will donate the funds to one charity selected by Toluna North America and Europe members in the Haiti earthquake poll that opens on January 25, 2010. Toluna is not responsible for votes cast but not received, regardless of cause. A survey response occurs when a member attempts to complete a survey and completes the entire survey, or completes the initial questions, and does not qualify for whatever reason, including instances in which quota has been filled. Toluna is making this contribution as a goodwill gesture only, and is not making an endorsement of any particular charitable organization.

Still haven't run across an Invoke from Tuluna yet since the merger. They do send me quite a few survey invites though and i qualified for a couple of surveys today valued at 3,000 points. Three times a day I get email from Toluna/Greenfield for 20 minute surveys that pay 900 points. I had forgotten that 900 is 30cts... if you qualify.
So if I qualify for all three....I would be earning 90 cents an hour.

That DSP link to TL/Greenfield at 60 cents looks like a better deal. Those surveys are very similar time wise.

Oppps....hold the fort.....the folks right here at YFS have a better paying T/GF link at 90 cents a pop!!:)

Does anyone know how long it takes for Toluna to credit the points from completed surveys?....i have qualified for a few 3,000 point surveys from them over the last few days, but the points aren't showing up yet in my Toluna account. I know when you complete the sponsored Polls on the website your points are immedietly credited. I certainly prefer the old Greenfield site where i could see Project Open. That way i knew i'd completed the survey and knew that i'd be credited.

Does anyone still take the Toluna 900 point invites which are sent out daily??....i find that by taking these surveys they interfere with taking other survey from other sites which pay a lot more. I still take the 900 point surveys only if they are something l'm concerned with. Also food or maybe something that I think could lead to an Invoke. And Yes, they do interview with other survey sites like Globel Test or Lightspeed. I usually just wait until the end of the day to do whatever I can, or if I haven't gotten any surveys to do from other sites.
