GlobalTestMarket is clearly one of my favorite paid survey sites because I have earned $52.25 from them since March 6, 2008. They pay in MarketPoints ($0.05 each), which are redeemable for cash with 1000 points equal to $50. You need a minimum of 1000 points to cash out. GTM sends out checks about 6-8 weeks after they are requested. They make a vaid point when they explain why they use MarketPoints instead of cash:

"Our community consists of members from all around the world, and therefore we need to use a currency that everyone can use. However, when you redeem your MarketPoints, you will receive a check in your local currency."

This is probably my favourite Survey company too right now. I get several surveys a week and usually qualify for about 90% of them. I just received a check from them for $50 OR 1000 points and i'm just about ready to send off for another check because i have about 900 points right now :)

I have NEVER had any experience with Global Test Market because I'm NOT a member of this panel. Here is why:

In October 2007, I joined numerous websites that were a waste of my time. Everyday my Hotmail inbox would be flooded with emails from Global Survey Group, Fusion Cash, Indox Dollars, and Survey Panel Group. Most of the time I would delete all the their surveys. This would came back to hunt me sooner than later.

I think I first joined Global Test Market from an Viva Research but since I thought the confirmation email would be from Viva Reseach, I accidentally deleted the real email.

So now I am unable to register with them since I never opened the original email. Every time I try to sign in with them I get this message:

Our records indicate that you or someone in your household already has an account with GlobalTestMarket.

Please note that we allow only one person signed up with GlobalTestMarket per household and opening another account in the same household will result in deactivation.

I wouldn't be too upset, Eddie. Global Test Market has started sending out OTX surveys, reducing my ability to earn points.

I agree!! This is my favorite survey site! I make about $150/year with this site. I know that's not a lot of money but I don't qualify for a lot of surveys... probably because I'm 50, white and female... I would still highly reccomend it!

On August 17, I contacted the Global Test Market Help Center about my current account status. I received a email from Malina Bankova the next day that asked me to verify if I joined their panel with a hotmail email. I confirmed this and received the email below on August 19

Hello, Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused you.You will shortly receive your activation mail.

One week later, I still have not receive the activation email. On August 23, I emailed them again and yesterday I got this response:

Please accept our sincerest apology for the trouble we have unintentionally caused you. Thank you for informing us. We had some technical problems while resolving your issue. You will shortly receive your activation e-mail.

As of now I still have not received the activation email. If I don't receive the email by the next week, then I will give up on this panel.

I've gotten nothing but OTX surveys from them since spring, and I'm 80 points from payout. :( At this rate, I might get enough 5 point consolations to hit payout level by this time next year...

After posting the above, I decided to check out my profiles, and I discovered some answers that needed to be updated and/or changed. Since editing my profiles, I have received 3 more surveys, only one of them OTX. I was routinely receiving 3 surveys a month beforehand. Anyway, I qualified for one of them and was able to reach payout level. With Globaltestmarket, it pays to check your profiles. :D

GlobalTestMarket is relatively easy to make money from.

Non-OTK Surveys: Obviously, you do these. If you succeed, you get a lot of points, if you don't you get 5 (that slow-creeping 5-point consolation is probably one of the best incentives I've seen for a company with a payout over 25$). Nothing to lose, and when you win, you win big.

OTK Surveys: The trick is to do here what you do on any other site that offers OTK surveys: keep going until you hit a survey you can complete. Don't be lazy. These will add up over time, and when you finally hit the payout range, you'll have at least a 50$ check to your name. And, well, if you're lazy... you still get 5 points. :p As long as you don't close out the window, GTM will reward you for the very first OTK survey you do correctly.

Now, I just need to stop being lazy... though I am at 400 points in about a month's time despite laziness.

Dear Member,

You may have noticed last week that there was a delay from when you took a GlobalTestMarket survey to when your MarketPoints showed up in your account. Don't worry! We record all your survey activity and the MarketPoints you earn, and these points have already been credited to your account. Our system was operating on a 4-7 day delay, so your MarketPoints didn't appear in your account right away. Your account is now up to date and we apologize for any inconvenience these technical difficulties may have caused. MarketPoints should now appear in your account within 24 hours of survey participation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,
Gabriella McNabb

Dear GlobalTestMarket member,

On October 1st, 2008, GlobalTestMarket released a new survey engine. In the process of transferring large amounts of data to the new system, we have unfortunately experienced slower than usual processing times which has caused some unexpected delays.

Please rest assured that we are recording your MarketPoints and survey activity in real time, and that your account information will be current and consistent throughout shortly.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding during this time.

Sincerely,

GlobalTestMarket

It took u an year to reach 1000 points? I have withdrawn twice from Global testmarket, once for $50, once for $95, and currently i have 640 points, so hopefully i should be withdrawing again soon.

The problem with the points, is apparently because they are currently undergoing maintenance and adding another server, and therefore there is discrepancies in the no of points displayed in your account. But hopefully that should be solved soon.

But if you keep that aside, this is one of the best survey sites out there, and pays very well. :D

That is correct, they were undergoing a change over and things were totally hosed with the points. I've emailed them and finally got a detailed list of the surveys I've DQ'd (5pts ea), surveys completed, profile updates (10pts ea), etc. There was a period between 10/8 and 10/24 where there was absolutely no activity for me although I have records.

Since they are still undergoing this transformation, I'm going to let them get the "cooties" out before I start hounding them again. I have very detailed records and can prove the 230 discrepancy going on at my end.

The points you see on the email invite page is incorrect (low as a matter of fact). And when you log in you'll see a higher number (more accurate). However, you all may still be lacking points during that period in October.

Please note that GTM has a "blog" (bottom right corner of your page). Click on that & it'll give you the latest on the techy issue.

Hope this helps - and good luck to all! :D

'Tis the season for sweepstakes at GlobalTestMarket!

For every GlobalTestMarket survey you complete between October 1st, 2008 and December 30th, 2008, you will not only earn MarketPoints, but also two entries into a sweepstakes for a USD $500 cash prize! Better yet, the first survey you complete will gain you ten entries! You will also receive entries for every survey you took in October and November.

Even if you don’t qualify for all the surveys you start, you will receive one sweepstakes entry for each survey, in addition to the usual award of 5 MarketPoints. Thirty lucky GlobalTestMarket members will be randomly selected to receive this prize.

The purpose of this sweepstakes is to thank you for your patience while we make some very important changes to the GlobalTestMarket site. The GlobalTestMarket team is working harder than ever to bring you surveys that are the best fit for you based on your profile. We appreciate your patience.

Remember, every survey you take from now until December 30th could be worth an extra $500! So respond to surveys early, respond often, and stay tuned for the results!

Regards,

The GlobalTestMarket Team

I love GlobalTestMarket surveys and here is why:

6. GlobalTestMarket $52.25 ($50 po) ($52.25 rec'd)

GTM is definately one of the best points sites out there, after Opinion Outpost, and you can earn a lot of money with them. The 1000 point $50 payout point is reasonable and they compensate you fairly for your time. I receive almost daily surveys and qualify for most. They are #6 on my Surveys That Pay! list.

GTM is a great site, but lately, their emails have been coming at 1:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. MST, and by the time i get to them, they say “quota filled” or such. As for the one survey i have done with them since they changed over to their new server(s) & format, it was VERY painstaking and “obnoxious.” Such as, “rank these next 11 items in order of your preference”,(oi vey) only to be followed by 5 more of this same type to be ranked later. Page after page of scrolling through this format is, well, obnoxious.
I only have one word for this format (other than obnoxious)…ANNOYING!
GTM, PLEASE!, go back to your previous format!
It was working fine.
Maybe you should try following one of my favorite axioms…”if it ain’t broke, DON’T FIX IT!”
Your new FORMAT stinks….at least so far.
And getting the surveys at 1:30 a.m. makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. (i guess we in the Mountain time zone are just s.o.l.?)

Let me try this again.

I love GlobalTestMarket surveys because they are my #4 best paid survey site on my Surveys That Pay! list. They are the second best cash for points site after OpinionOutpost (#2 - $181) and also behind the cash leader SurveySpot at #1 with $326 in 2008. #3 is TikTik Cash, a GPT (Get Paid to Try) offers site that I have recently cashed out and unsubscribed from ($100.06).

4. Global Test Market $154.00 (1000 points = $50) ($50 payout point) ($104.00 rec’d) ($50 req’d)

I like the 1000 point $50 payout point because they send about 3-4 surveys per week and most pay between 40 ($2) and 120 ($6) points. You also receive 5 points ($0.25) for simply attempting each survey. I have not found the surveys to be as long or as frustrating as completing OTX surveys, which I detest. I think most people will be able to cash out about three times per year for $150.

Dear Member,

Between December 2008 and January 2009, your account was rewarded duplicate MarketPoints for completing and/or screening from several studies due to a coding error. We have identified this error and are in the process of removing the duplicate MarketPoints from your account balance.

Any redemption made on January 8th or after will be voided and your account balance will reflect the accurate total shortly.

GlobalTestMarket sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates your understanding.

We look forward to your future survey participation.

New GlobalTestMarket Incentive System coming soon!
PayPal, iPods, Plasma TVs, Stereos, Travel, Vehicles… What are we talking about? GlobalTestMarket's new Multi-incentive and Sweepstakes program!

That's right. In just a few weeks all GlobalTestMarket members will have the opportunity to exchange their MarketPoints for more than just cash. Members will get to trade-in their MarketPoints for money, merchandise, raffle tickets and more! GlobalTestMarket members will also have the opportunity to win some incredible prizes such as concert tickets, cruises, cars and many others. We're even including some fun and rewarding mini-games for our members to play and win.

Since the GlobalTestMarket community is so large, we have decided to offer the program to different regions at a time. By the end of June, we should have every region covered. So stay tuned to find out when your country will launch its multi-incentive and sweepstakes program!

2. Global Test Market $254.50 (1000 = $50) ($10 po) (2008-03-01) ($204.50 rec'd)

GTM is definately the best points site and you can earn a lot of money with them. The 1000 point $50 pay out point is reasonable because their incentives are good, I receive three to four surveys per week and qualify for most. You receive 5 points ($0.05) for attempting a survey. I am expecting another $50 check from them within the next week.

The 1000 point $50 pay out point is reasonable because their incentives are good and they send out frequent surveys. I receive three to four surveys per week and qualify for most. You receive 5 points ($0.50) just for attempting a survey. I am expecting another $50 check from them that will move them up on my list. If they had a PayPal option that would make them even better. I am also not very happy that GTM is now offering surveys via OTX due to the many problems cited for OTX, such as long screeners, being disqualified after giving a large amount of information and irrelevant surveys in general.

I just requested a check, and the address wasn't right: wrong city name - a city that doesn't exist in my state. ( I checked this afterward) So I changed the city name.

Then when I submit my changes I discover the phone number is invalid because the phone number has dashes in it, and now their system doesn't like dashes, so I remove the dashes from the phone number and submit. This time my changes were accepted and I requested my check.

A few days ago I thought I read elsewhere that a GTM panelist was having difficulty receiving a GTM check because of a similar situation, and that GTM was dragging their heels because they maintain that the check was already sent, but being sent to a wrong address doesn't count.

Anyone else encounter something similar in the last few weeks?

Hi Paddysmum,

The same thing also happened with me. I seen the address was incorrect also for where I live so I corrected that too. I didn't notice the phone number being wrong so I hope that will be Ok. Then after I cashed out, I got a receipt from G.T. and it still showed the wrong city name. Will, immediately I emailed them to let them know that wasn't the correct city that I lived in. They said they had the correct address now and it would be sent to my proper address. Well, I'm hoping that is true. It said it would take approx. 4 to 6 weeks for the check to arrive. I cashed out on 5/22 so I'm hoping shortly to receive it. If not by the end of this month, I will get in touch with them again.

Oh, my sister also cashed out just before I did and she also had the wrong city listed to. It said Sharon Hill for a city - really strange, and she lives in a different state that I do. I sure hope we get our checks and that they aren't trying to pull a fast one.

I just logged into my acct. again and the address is now correct, so I will have to see. Being that this is a Big check I sure wouldn't want to lose out on it. :(

Oddly enough, I noticed that when I requested my last check from GTM, the form that has your name and address on it also had my city listed incorrectly, so I changed it and, hopefully, my check will arrive safely. It must be a computer glitch.

The thing I like about GTM is that they do reply to emails, usually within about 5 days. I just completed a brain juicer survey, and those are kind of fun.

The things I don't like:

Checked my address, and they did have the wrong city too. The thing I don't understand about the previous posts is that the PO uses ZIP codes as the sort, not the city name. But, a responsive company would send out emails or post the problem in the blog section or on the member account page so that each person was aware.

The available surveys listed on my account page is a really buggy section. I've had surveys I'd taken months ago re-appear, been directed to broken links, etc. I also don't like OTX surveys.

In my experience, most of the surveys I've completed direct me back to the new member recruitment page instead of either my pages or the member login page. That irritates me too.

Finally, it's taken 6 months to nearly hit 700 points, so I figure I'll make it by Christmas

Has anyone else noticed the lack of survey invites by e-mail from GTM lately???.....

Well I am received plenty of GTM surveys lately. Just today I received 4 emails from them but these surveys are from earier this week but they barely appear in my Yahoo email today. One of these surveys is #146559 hosted by OTX. This survey does have a error or at least is not working like other OTX survey sent by GTM. Normally I would be redirect to GTM server after clicking "no thanks" when asked if I would like to try another survey. But this time I clicked "no thanks" and was sent to another survey. I took about three surveys after I got an "Invalid Session" message. These are the surveys I was sent to: v2.decipherinc.com/mev09006 & Horizon Insight (www.globaltestmarket) {E_130352_}

After that I closed the browser and opened survey #146559 again and not this message I never seen before:

UPDATE: The second survey was #146488 and was hosted by OTX but this time I Was redirected to GTM "Thank you" screen after clicking "No"

Has anyone else noticed the lack of survey invites by e-mail from GTM lately???.....i was wondering why i haven't had any invitations all week and was beginning to worry that they must have blackmarked me or something. I just logged into their site and saw that i had 4 survey invitations in there. Is anybody else experiencing this??

i was about 3/4 of the way through a survey and recieved this message

"In order to ensure quality survey results, our system has built-in checks that evaluate the quality of responses and the length of time our panelists take to respond to a survey. The lack of quality and/or short response times suggest that you have not read the questions thoroughly enough to provide thoughtful responses. Thus, we regret to inform you that your participation in this study is no longer necessary."

i take a lot of surveys so i'm able to read through them pretty fast...i was answering honestly and not just clicking the same response to get through. not happy:mad:

i emailed them so we'll see what comes from it

That happened to me as well a couple of months ago....the only difference for me though is that i actually completed the survey and then got the same message you got. I didn't get credit and never bothered to e-mail them about it. I was worried that i'd be disqualified from future surveys but i still received regular invites from them. My advice is always take your time with your responses even though it is repetitive i know.

Where did all those $2 surveys go??

For the past two weeks, I have been getting 3 or 4 invites a day...all sweepstakes!

Anyone else seeing a similar pattern?

Yes ~ I've been noticing that too. I'm not too keen on doing the sweepstakes and I usually pass them up if I have other paying ones sitting.

I got 2 sweepstakes surveys today and a 35 point survey i didn't qualify for....that's another thing i have noticed lately with them is that many surveys you don't qualify for you don't even get 5 points which was the norm before...

Yes, many (if not most) of their surveys are now sweepstakes-only, and few offer the five points. Clear Voice was the other site that reliably offered a 'consolation prize' of 25¢, and that is down to a dime. I found that for both sites the quarters added up quickly. This is going to make a difference.

I agree too. Not only do I received less surveys and qualify less, they don't offer 50 and 100 points anymore. They only offer 35 to 40 points or sweepstakes.

GTM is still #2 in my list and I receive checks for $50 from them almost bi-monthly.

You are very fortunate as usual Lee. Wish I was as such.:)

I'm expecting a $50 check from GTM as well which should hopefully be arriving in my mailbox shortly. I have a feeling it could be my last check for a while because i seem to get more sweepstakes from them these days....could be a long while before i reach the 1000 points needed for cashout again...
