I strongly recommend Roboform2Go over the desktop version. You will need a U3 Smart Flash Drive (http://www.u3.com/smartdrives/default.aspx) to installed the program. This can be bought in any local Wal-mart for at least $19.99. Once your trial period has expired, you can uninstall the program and install it again. Make sure you to transfer all your passcards in the new folder.

RoboForm is neat. I need to spend more time studying the password functionality. In the meantime, Google Toolbar has an AutoFill button that fills in basic address info.

Today I got the usual "Trial Period Expired" message while using Roboform. That means my the 60 day trial is all most over. In the message, I saw that I have 67 passcards saved in my USB. That number would be bigger but I don't save some passcards.

Anyway, I will soon uninstall and install Roboform2GO so I can keep on using it.:D

I love this program and have tons of passcards for survey sites as well as other logins. My question is for Eddie or anyone else that uses the "2 Go" version. How do you uninstall and re-install on your USB Drive? I tried just deleting the files and then reinstalling and I'm still getting the trial period expired message. Do you also have to remove your passcard folder and put it somewhere else temporarily? That is the only roboform file that I did not remove from my USB drive.

Thanks for any advice.

Hey Karen, I think I can help you here. As you know Roboform2Go has a 60 day trial period. When you are getting close to the 60 days you will receive a message telling you that each time you enter a password in a form. After the 60 days the program will not enter the passwords in the forms. This is when it's time to uninstall the program for your U3 Drive.

Here a the steps I follow so I don't the trail message after reinstalling. First copy all folder where all the your roboform date is located. For my computer this is the location as seen in the address bar - G:\Documents\My RoboForm Data\Default Profile. After copying all the files you can delete the Roboform2Go program from the flash drive by "programs setting" on the U3 Launch Pad. If a message pops up click yes since you have already copied your default profile. (by clicking yes the whole roboform folder will be deleted from the flash drive).

Now you can look at the files you copied. You can now delete all the files that do not contain your passcards and the profile created that address information. The extensions for these files are rfp and rft. The names of the files that will be deleted are cache.rfo, license.rfo, mru.rfo, options.rfo, smpenc.rfo, and RoboFormDataHere.txt. If for some reason you can not see the file extensions you so click on Tools in the Windows explorer and then go down to folder options. Next click on the view tab and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

Now that you delete all the unwanted files you can download a new version of Roboform2go and tranfer all your passcards and profiles to the new Default Profile that was created. If done correctly, you will see 0 days since first install in version tab on the options menu. These are the steps I follow so I can keep on using Roboform2Go. Hopefully this post will be helpful to you and of survey takers how use Roboform2GO

Thanks Eddie, that did the trick! I think because I was leaving those 5 files in my data folder is why it still said expired. When I deleted everything except my passcards it worked. I'm sure (like Maria) I will end up buying this program because it is such a timesaver. I had previously installed the desktop version but I love the 2 Go version because I can use it on either my desktop or my laptop when traveling. I wouldn't have even paid attention to the 2 Go except for Eddie's post here. I love this forum!

I've gotten RoboForm almost a year ago. When I had to reinstall my system I first was in a panic. I thought On No, there goes my Robo Form. I thought I had to pay for it again, but I contacted customer service and they gave me the info to reinstall, so I'm all good to go. There is No Way I would want to be without it - it's a total time saver and definitely worth ever penny that I paid for it. ;)
