Brand Institute (https://www.brandinstitute.com/surveys/) is certaintly one of the Top Ten best paid online surveys; although they send out very few surveys, they pay both promptly and well, by check. I have only earned $4 since March 5, 2008 but I have had many opportunities and missed-it-by-that-much! They send out 2-3 surveys per month. BI has offices in Austin, Chicago, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Ottawa, Raleigh-Durham, Rockville, San Francisco, Tokyo and Toronto.

The BRANDFOCUS QUALITATIVE INSIGHT session will involve answering questions for a new drug currently under development. It should take approximately 3-5 minutes. Please note that only those who meet the qualifications for this project will be able to participate.

The BRANDCHAT session will be held at 10:00 AM (EST) on 07/03/08. It will involve brainstorming in a chatroom environment for a new drug currently under development. The BRANDCHAT will last 30 MINUTES, and you will receive a check in the mail for $5.00 within 6 weeks.

Today I received my first Brand Institute survey invite. This survey was for $2 but I did not qualify because of my age. After I took the survey, I was redirected my account.

Now I have several questions about Brand Institute.
1) Why do they ask for a Social Securtiy Number? Have entered your number in there?
2) What is BrandChat and MR Survey?

Today I received my first Brand Institute survey invite. This survey was for $2 but I did not qualify because of my age. After I took the survey, I was redirected my account.

I have not entered my Social Security number and BrandChat is their version of Invoke Interactives, where they hold very lucrative brand naming panel forums. I have yet to be invited. You need a room password to particpate, which is provided in the email invitation.

To login, enter your name, your password and the room password provided in the email invitation for the appropriate project. Then click on the "enter" button. The next page you see will have two frames. The top frame is where you enter messages for the chat room, the bottom frame displays messages sent by members of the creative group. Yeah ok that's good but do you know why they would ask for an SSN? This is the first panel that has asked me for that so I'm kinda confused why people want that information. Anyway, I wouldn't give it to them even if I had one.

They haven't asked me for one yet, but I wouldn't give any survey company my Social Security number until I had made $600 with them during the course of the fiscal year and was required by law to do so.

Signed up a few days ago to Brand Institute. My first survey I didn't qualify. My 2nd one I did. It was for $2.00 and it was short & easy. Now I'll just wait and see how long it takes for payout - I put the option for paypal.

Last month I received a notice I qualified for a Brand Chat - the message came 1 day after the scheduled Brand Chat was to have taken place!

I'm tempted to unsubscribe to Brand Institute. I've qualified for a Brand Chat once in the six months I've been a member, and then I couldn't log in successfully. Last month I received a notice I qualified for a Brand Chat - the message came 1 day after the scheduled Brand Chat was to have taken place!
Why unsubscribe? They only send one or two emails per month anyway.

Wow PaddysMum,

That's really too bad. Maybe it's something to do with your mail server, it could of caused the hold-up of your email. I know my daughter has a Yahoo Acct. and she said that she also has delays in some emails that I receive right away. If that's the case there probably isn't much you can do about that. Sometimes using a different email account, but not sure whether it's OK to change it or not.

I've never qualified for a survey from brand institute, i always get disqualified. Since,all their surveys are concerning medical research or something, i dont expect my chances of qualifying in the future are any better :o

Their requirements are too difficult, but I still get $2 a month from them, which still buys two large dark chocolate Hershey bars. :D

I am going to make a thread for 'Surveys That Are Legitimate But That Just Don't Send Out Enough Surveys' and Brand Institute is going to be on it along with Pinecone Research, ACOP, SurveySavvy, MindField, HCD, FocusForward and Netverdix. :mad:

I would say about a month or maybe 3 weeks... I didn't really keep count :eek: So you are still good!!!

Yesterday I received my first check from them... $2 :p

Today I received a $10 check that I wasn't expecting. I don't even remember doing a $10 survey but I'm soooooo happy :p

I did give it to them because everytime I log in it would ask me for it. I've read only good things about them so I'm not worried. But I'm not sure if it's mandatory to receive checks (I think Lapislee has received checks w/o giving them his ssn).

I completed surveys for Brand Institute on Dec 2, 2009 and Dec 11, 2009 and contacted Brand Institute to ask why I had received the confirmation email but tat they have not shown up on their website as having been completed. This is what they said:

Dear Respondent,

Thank you for contacting Brand Institute. Payment Processing normally takes anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks from the date the projects close. It may take longer for you to receive payment in cases where surveys have not entirely closed. You will be compensated shortly. Thank you.
