Large Payouts or Prizes

Although I do surveys for several legimate sites and cash out on a fairly regular basis for $5 - $10,* I have my doubts if anyone really wins the large prizes. For example, I-Say has their Poll Predictor you can elect to play after completing a survey. The game is fun and I always play but does anyone really win the $1000 prizes?

*I cash out at the minimum amount a site allows because I don't trust they won't merger with another site and I'll lose my earnings! :rolleyes:

I won a contest from the Capitol One forum in February 2009 for an Apple Macbook ($1200) and an Apple iPod Touch ($300) plus they paid me $80 in Amazon gift cards for eight months of participation.

I just won $30 from the GetPaidSurveys contest yesterday and Tina won $60.

This week has been the week of higher paying invites for me. Within the last 48 hours, I've had a $50 forum invite from SurveySpot, a $15 3-day forum invite from Toluna, two forum memberships from MemoLink, and just now a $100 chat invite also from SurveySpot. I'll let you guys know how they all work out! Other than a Communispace invite I got from SurveySpot last month (which has paid out $15 so far), these are my first invites I've qualified for. I'm pretty excited! (And it couldn't be at a better time - I have to move next month, so this is putting a nice dent in that security deposit!)

Good job Laura! I have 2 Invokes next Monday. My biggest payouts these days come from "in person" focus groups and USATalk now bulletin boards.

The largest payout I made is $50 from a surveys.com (GfK) week long study were I look for brands in News programs. But it is very possible to make over $200 for a research study. That would usually be online focus groups/bulletin board or In-Person Focus Groups like the ones Focus Forward or Savitz Field & Focus conduct. I am signed up to Savitz Field mailing list where they list all studies that are available. The email doesn't list the rewards for the studies but they are rewards up to $100.

I had a $25.00 Invoke in April that paid in June. :)
Also was one of a few chosen to receive a $25.00 Amazon.com gift certificate for participating in The Chocosphere.

My demographic information is not focus group friendly, apparently. I keep reading here and on other message boards that people are getting into these high-paying focus groups and online bulletin boards, but I don't even get past the first few qualifying questions most of the time.
