I am currently involved with a Hanes sock study for $10 and will report on it when it has been completed. I like getting free clothes and being paid to wear them!
The GARB panel (www.garbonline.com/) will be used by our company to provide consumer insights to a major apparel manufacturing company on a wide variety of new product and marketing ideas. We are very excited about your involvement, and we hope you're enthusiastic about participating in future GARB panel projects.
As a member of the GARB panel, your opinions will be invaluable in providing insights to a major apparel manufacturing company. You will have an opportunity to help shape their product development, advertising, and marketing strategies.
As a GARB panel member, you might be asked to:
- Do wear tests on new products (sent to your home or work via FedEx)
- Review new product concepts online
- Review packaging and graphics online
- Attend a local group discussion
- Participate in a chat session
- Or just to let us know what you like about clothing apparel in general!
Every time you complete a project you will be compensated $5 to $100 depending on the type of project. Of course, you're not required to participate in every project, though we hope to hear from you whenever possible. In order for you to participate in GARB panel projects, we always need current contact information so please be sure to visit this website and enter an update whenever you change your email address, phone number or street address. Also, please be sure that your email inbox is able to accept emails from Garbpanel@u30.com, so that you can get emails about new project opportunities!

Well I just took the survey to see if I qualify for free clothes. I saw that this panel is being run by the U30 Panel. I joined two months ago after I saw it in the SurveyPolice list of survey companies. Since I joined, they have not sent me a single survey. Hopefully I will have better luck with the GARB Panel later on.

Eddie, go back through your profile and make certain that you click all three brands for EVERY category and that you try to cover as many brands as possible among socks, athletic socks, T-shirts, outer T-shirts, underwear, etc. Make sure you have Hanes checked for the sock study.

Dear Lee,
I’m excited to invite you to see if you qualify for our latest panel project!
Let me tell you a little about the project….
This is a wear test where participants will be sent items and be asked to wear the items as often as possible over a three-week period. At the end of the three weeks, we will send you a survey asking what you think about the different versions of the product. For completing the three-week wear test and online survey, we will send you a check for $10 and you get to keep everything you’ve been testing!
It is very important that we find out what consumers think about the different versions of these products, so I really hope that you will be interested in helping us out by giving us your opinions!
To see if you qualify for this project, just click on the link below and take the short screener questionnaire.
Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Virginia Vowell

I do NOT really care about the new product they send. I'm only interested in the rewards aka the money ($).
A $10 check for wearing free clothes sounds good to me :D

I have not received a email survey invite from these people. Some far they are not impressing me. I also tried to log in to my account but I could not because it said that email does not exist. I will try to log in again today and see what happens.

Yesterday, I received my first GARB Panel survey invite. The reward for taking and completing this survey was a entry to a drawing for $20. Unfortunately, I did not qualify to complete this survey, but I don't know if I received the entry to the drawing. Anyway, it doesn't matter because I will not win the drawing. GARB Panel has yet to impress me!!!

Garb Repost... They seem to be paying you with points that can be for cash
Dear Lee,
The new year is bringing some changes for the GARB panel! The whole U30 team and I have so enjoyed working with all of you on the GARB panel over the past several years, and we thank you for your hard work and willingness to participate.
Management of the GARB panel will be changing hands very soon. While GARB will still be providing opinions and insights for the same major apparel manufacturer as always, all specific GARB-related work will now be conducted and managed by Bellomy Research instead of by the U30 Group.
The U30 Group will also continue to offer you the chance to participate in a variety of non-GARB related projects where you can earn incentives for your time.
If you do not want to receive opportunities from U30 to participate in future research studies or if you do not want to remain on GARB and work with Bellomy Research, all you need to do is go to the survey link below to indicate your desire to be removed from either or both of these panels. This survey will run through February 10th, 2009, and you have until that time to opt out of the GARB panel prior to having your information transferred to Bellomy Research.
If you would like to continue receiving opportunities to participate in research from both Bellomy and U30, you do not need to do anything. The link is only for those choosing to opt out of future participation.

In February, the new GARB website will be moving to new servers hosted by Bellomy Research. You will still be able to access the GARB website at www.garbonline.com. However, if you previously bookmarked the GARB website homepage, or added the homepage to your favorites, you may need to bookmark it again. In addition to the website changes, email communications will now be sent from Chris@garbonline.com. Please be sure to add this new email address to your approved sender list.
Bellomy Research is a full service market research company and long time business partner of the major apparel manufacturer that sponsors this panel. You can review Bellomy Research's privacy policy at www.bellomyresearch.com/privacy.html.
Again, thank you so much for your participation in the GARB panel. We at U30 look forward to working with many of you on a variety of projects coming up this year!
Sincerely,
Virginia Vowell

Lots of survey sites are moving towards sweepstakes, at least for some of their surveys.
Hello Lee,
U30 Group has a new survey for you. If you qualify and complete the survey, you will be entered in a drawing to win one of 20 $25 checks.
Note that also, if you leave the survey screen idle for more than 20 minutes, the survey will automatically close and you will receive a timeout error. You may return to this email and click on the link below to continue with the survey.
We only have a limited number of spots for you to participate, so click on the link below now to get started. If you cannot click on the link below, you can copy the link by highlighting the link, right clicking, and selecting Copy. Paste the link into your address bar by clicking inside the address bar, right clicking, and selecting Paste. After the link is pasted, please press Enter or Go to load the survey.
As always, we look forward to learning more from your insights.
Cheers,
U30 Group

Today I also received a survey from U30. It was also a sweepstakes. I was luckly enough not to qualify. This survey was the first survey I received from U30....
Also is Garb and U30 the same thing? I think they are two different panels but I may be wrong....

I am not certain whether or not GARB Online is still paying cash for surveys or sending out products for testing, but I did receive this email invitation, which I completed.
