Everyone complains about surveys that last an hour or longer, but what is the ideal length of time for a survey? How long will you spend taking a survey for just $1?

i start to grumble when they reach 30 minutes.

i did one about the last 24 hours of my drinking habits. i thought how long can that possibly take, right?

it was a nightmare!!!

i took a survey at 6:00 and ended at 12.

I didn't even get credited for it...

Unless it's an Invoke Interactive for $20 or more, my eyes start to glaze over after 30 minutes, especially with OTX.

I got stuck in one survey on gaming computer parts..
took me around 4 hours.
...I think it was because my gaming computer is custom built.

....only payed out $.90

Why did i go through with that? for that?

well.....Im not sure why either.....

Wow you that was one long gaming survey... I also enjoy taking surveys about video games but I would not have the patience to take a four hour surveys especially if it's about computer gaming... I only play console games since my computer is not built to play complex heavy games like Bioshock or GTA IV...

Unless you've got time to kill, does anyone really need to spend half an hour in front of the pc for $1? Seems crazy to me. Not many people would work for a couple of dollars an hour. I've spent an hour and a half on a survey for a miserable $3 once - but not knowingly!

I use to do any survey I get but now I'm only doing surveys that tell me exactly how long it is and how much money i'll get (except for the ones I know are worth it. like pinecone and globaltestmarket)

And I'll only do surveys that pay at least $6/hour. So, a 10 minute $1 I would do, but not a 15 min $1 survey.

30 minutes is my personal limit, but out of boredom I have taken longer on occaision.

depends on the payout...for an hour long survery it better pay $20 or more
other than that i will usually do any that are $0.10/minute (i.e. 30 minutes = $3.00)...anything less than that like the $1 for 30 minutes i will only do if i have time at work since i'm getting paid anyway
